Total Wine and More offers an encyclopedic collection of wine and liquor...and at very reasonable prices. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. The store is spacious and well laid out. A great place to stock up on bar essentials! read more

Employee Adam went out of his way to find a gift box for a bottle of champagne we wanted to purchase. There was none of the boxed editions on the store shelves, so we settled on a bottle and a separate generic gift box. As we were almost ready to checkout, we heard Adam calling to us and had the gift boxed edition we wanted. He dug through inventory in back of the store somewhere and found it. Adam went beyond what a lot of other people would do in this situation. We appreciate his extra effort. Thanks Adam. read more

I came in here to get some NUTRL drinks and they had a wide selection. The staff was also attentive and they recommended some other options for people travelling with me. When I went to check out there were three check stands open! Zero wait! Bravo! read more

I came to total Wine and more today to pick up a bottle of champagne for New Year's eve. This location is very large and spacious, and the libations are arranged in a well organized way that allows the shopper to browse by libation type. The store itself is clean and there is always plenty of staff to ask you if you need assistance in finding the perfect bottle. I made my way to the champagne section and was able to find a special 2012 Laurent Perrier bottle of champagne. I went to the checkout stand, and the bottle rung up a little more than what the advertise tag had stated. The clerk was very understanding and was able to direct me over to a manager who promptly corrected the price adjustment and honor the listed price as opposed to the new updated price. The whole transaction didn't take long at all, and the staff handled the whole situation and away that did not make me feel uncomfortable or thrifty. Staff service: five stars. As mentioned above, there's plenty of staff wandering the floor to assist you if you need something and they are more than happy to give their opinion on some of the bottles should you find yourself on the fence or just needing some general direction. Parking is very easy and I have come to the store several times before. I only wish that this chain had better rewards program as they would probably see more of my business. read more

Exceptional employee knowledge of all spirits within their walls- from tequila wine Whiskey, Bourbon, and Champagne- Never had a bad suggestion and also Don and Debra really know their stuff its exhilarating to listen how they describe the specifics of their wealth of knowledge about certain bourbons and champagne! I just popped in briefly to pick up my reserve bag. The store was a ghost town at 7:30 so it was a quick interaction. I do wish the cashier was a little more personable but it wasn't a bad experience read more

Thank you so much for walking me through the European wines that I asked you about on my visit to your store. Your knowledge level, 100%!!! I was impressed. I will be back with more questions and I know you will have it covered! read more

We went to dinner at one of the country clubs nearby and had a wonderful bottle of Alias cabernet wine, so I thought I'd try to find it here. I walked in and was overwhelmed by the selection of all kinds of wines and spirits, and the aesthetics of the store was very attractive for booze shopping, haha. It took me awhile to get someone to help me and unfortunately, Alias must have been one of the few wines they don't carry. Bummer. I am not on that side of town very often but would definitely shop here again. read more

Like a lot of people, I buy everyday wine and spirits at Trader Joe's. Small selection, but moderate prices. But I am a bit of a connoisseur in wine and whisky, so when I need something "not everyday," and price is not an object, I turn to Total Wine & More. They have a large selection of Islay whiskys and Bordeaux wines that I can get lost in for an hour or so. Also appreciate their solid selection of cigars. I feel that I need to mention the competition. Bevmo is right down the street and more convenient, but...smaller with less selection. read more

We had an amazing experience today! All of the employees were excellent and helpful. Donnie provided us with the most amazing, friendly and engaging wine tastings! Highly recommend! read more

5 stars for Eddie! Helped us out in the whiskey and wine areas! Very knowledgeable on his stuff! Polite and honest! Great experience here!

Fantastic staff and informative classes. Pricing is great and did I mention the staff is fantastic?

*Wifey Needs Her Wine Before the End of Time* I'm not a wine drinker...but my 1/2 Italian wife needs her nightly fix to wind down and I can understand & appreciate that. I also understand & appreciate the wine culture & cultivation...and have enjoyed visiting wineries and learning more. And since I love all forms of art, I like to look at all the bottles & labels of wine, because some are works of art. Total Wine isn't all about "wine" tho. They carry almost every type of booze from all over the world, and their prices seem to be very reasonable & competitive. The customer service is very good -- at least with my experiences while she shops and I browse. The entire store is clean and organized. They also carry lots of non-alcoholic beverages, candy and other snacks to munch on while enjoying your favorite drinks. Located in a fairly large strip mall with an abundance of parking, usually surrounded by an abundance of sunshine that fills the desert sky & mountain backdrop. Total Wine is Fantastico. Very frustrating experience yesterday. I walked in to pick up my priority bourbon order and stood at the desk for a good 5 minutes with no help and several staff walking by and ignoring me. I flagged a guy down and he mumbled something and I asked him to repeated it and he told me he was busy and the guy on the ladder would need to help me. The mumbling guy came back 5 minutes later and checked me off the list. He had to go to the back to get my priority order. I waited as he went to the back of the store and when he returned, He told me I had to go to the register to pay for it and he would bring the bottle to the register. I went to the register, waited in line and explained to the clerk. She told me I needed to go to a special pick up area. I went to the special area, waited in line only to be told it was at the register. At least the person at the special register took the time to walk me over to the register and find the bottle that the mumbling guy put at the register. Needless to say, this was a terrible and time consuming experience. There were a lot of staff working, but no focus on customer service. read more

Very good selection of Italian wines. Could have a better selection of liqueurs, however.

After being charged incorrectly for items on 7 different occasions, I have finally reached the end of my rope with this business. Because I have been billed for $1-$3 more than the corresponding tag under the item so many times, I began taking a picture of each price tag for proof. Yesterday, a 12pk of beer was $2 higher than the price tag. The cashier, a lady I do not know, but have seen before, was very put out when I mentioned the discrepancy. She said, "Well, I would have to find someone to go check it and we do have a line here, and..." as her voice trailed off. I simply showed her my phone and then she called a guy on her radio to "take that tag off this beer since it is wrong". Then she looked at me and said, "Well, THIS TIME I will give you the price, even though it is wrong". Excuse me??? So, due to your continued incompetence to align the right prices with the right product, you will so graciously ring it up "this time"? Save your breath lady. I'll not trouble you folks again. Someone else will now have my business. And I have been going to this store (Palm Desert CA) a minimum of 1-2x a month for 11 years. See ya, would not want to be ya! read more

This place was awesome as it was the first time going to this store as I was looking for a particular alcohol which they had! Total Wine & More - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Palm Desert, California

Total wine is not just a wine store, it's an experience. Step into the whimsical wonderland of fermented dreams at "Vinotopia," a wine store that transcends the boundaries of mere grape juice peddling. This is not your average wine emporium; it's a portal to a parallel dimension where corks pop like confetti, and every bottle tells a tale as enchanting the story that comes after drinking- whether its a tete- a tete- a big party, an intimate gathering or otherwise. There's a lot of great wines and alcohol spirits to choose from, and someone is always around to answer questions, but I have met a sommelier here. Here at Total Wine, I have bought some good wines, and some not so good. When I like something and go back to get it again. Many times I have experienced an inconsistent quality with the second bottle- as far as wine is concerned. Let's not mention a few dry corks where I had to pray to pry open without disappointing my palette and guests. However, Total Wine is where the wine flows like liquid poetry, and the only hangover is the regret of not discovering it sooner. I will keep "wine-tuning" until I find a pack of six that maintains that cherish on the lips feeling every-time. read more

#CovidReview As you enter Total Wine, all the staff has their masks on and the 6 feet distancing is enforced. As I was looking for tequila for a special friend, Eddy assisted me with choosing a pretty good bottle. He was very knowledgable. We tried to figure out pricing and content and I too was shocked at what I discovered. Sometimes buying two bottles is way cheaper then buying one huge bottle. Yeah, I'm weird like that! I'm a numbers guy! Lol. Anyway, Eddy helped me find a good bottle of tequila and we talked about mathematics. I went home very satisfied. If you are ever in this neck of the woods, I highly suggest you ask for Eddy for help. You wont be disappointed. read more

You should sign up for their rewards system prior to your purchase. They have certain deals offered every now and then that may cater to your preferences. This is my go to in the desert for wine and liquor. The selection is fantastic, the staff are friendly and helpful. Only complaint is they are constantly rearranging the store while not really keeping up with signage and it's getting very frustrating when you think you'll run in to grab something and find yourself having to wander through this giant store to locate a particular variety of drink because e.g. there is wine where it says bourbon and the bourbon is halfway across the store from where it used to be. It would be a relatively minor gripe but they move things *all the time* Your customers want familiarity read more

My new favorite place to get alcohol! BevMo who??? :p They literally have everything here! All of those hard to find beers and wines... They've got em! If you are particular are which wines you like, you will most definitely find something you like here. I was shocked at home much they had. The store is organized so it is relatively easy to find items. The staff members are also very helpful if you need any suggestions or direction. The assistant store manager was helpful when we were looking for a cheap tequila, specific wines and cider beers. I found the best beer I've ever had at this store. I usually hateeee beer. And only stick to wine. But they have ciders that taste sweet and light! So the ACE pineapple craft cider beer is my new obsession. Who needs white claw when you have cider? Hot girl summer with cider yaaassss lol read more

I live in LA so this is not my local store but I called because I saw they had stock of a special wine I was looking for - one of the managers, Brooke, was so kind and helpful to put it on hold for us so we could drive out and back to pick it up for our wedding. Thank you!!! read more

The store has been recently remerchandised. Most aisles have been moved and products shuffled as well. As I went in today for Baileys Irish Cream and Grand Marnier. Asked several employees what aisle and was directed accordingly. I could not find Grand Marnier after several passes on the aisle. Finally an associate took me to it on the bottom shelf buried out of view. I found the same on Baileys Irish Cream, bottom left corner on the aisle. The products at eye level I did not recognize, but they certainly had better shelf position. So my assumption is TW is attempting to push off brands rather than present the best sellers in favor of the customer. Customer First? Keep the most popular brands with better shelf presence! read more

So happy they are now carrying the NA options I have come to enjoy. Being on an alcohol time out is never something I look forward to. I've tried dozens of NA beers and none have hit the spot. The Lagunitas IPNA is a very my low alcohol beer that ranks as the best NA beer I've had to date. On the other hand the hoppy refresher has no alcohol at all and no calories. It's absolutely a hop forward refresher that's blown my mind. I've tried to find these two on my travels and I was able to locate them both at Total Wine. Both of these are starting to blow up on a larger scale but it's never a surprise that Total Wine has cutting edge beverages well before they are available on a larger scale. Going forward, when traveling by air, I will always seek out a Total Wine at my destination with confidence I'll find my layers beverages of choice. read more

I live in KCMO, and came to visit SOCAL for family, as I have for the past 6 years. I came here because we have one where I live and I absolutely love it! I got to checkout and asked to buy a bag and the lady raised her voice extremely loud toward me saying "THIS IS CALIFORNIA" I proceed to tell her "well I've gotten bags before at other places in California" she proceeds to again yell "THIS IS CALIFORNIA" .. just think it was super uncharacteristic, abrasive and all the above! I think the lady needs to touch grass and take naps more often. - Californians take notes, just because we're traveler/tourist, we're not all idiots. Wow, this is like an alcoholic mega-store. The staff here while not unfriendly, did not go out of their way to offer assistance or greet. This place had a fantastic selection of, well of everything and anything! I wish that this place was anywhere close to where I lived at, as I could have spent a LOT more time just browsing the shelves for something obscure and awesome. Love to order in advance and pick up. So convenient. Great prices too. My go to for liquor.

We've visited this location a couple times now and selection, prices, and service are always very good. Each time we've asked for help, it's almost like having a personal shopper assist you, walking you to the exact location in the store the product you're seeking is located, no matter how many items, and so full of information. The store itself is located in a large shopping center, so there's plenty of parking. They do a great job with Covid-19 safety measures; carts are wiped clean and there are a couple of disinfection stations. read more
