I recently had a bad experience. Older man at the register was rude not only to me but also the women trying to pay in front of me. her card declined and he was so loud about it the whole store could hear. No respect at all. you can tell he was being nicer to his own race than myself and the women in front of me. I decided to leave than to deal with him. don't know what his problem was but I normally feel bad for old people. I don't know if he was having A bad day. he wasn't being nice at all. I placed an online order. According to the online ad there's CURBSIDE service. I'm parked I check in. Waited 10 minutes no one insight. I called spoke to Troy. According to Troy CURBSIDE pickup means walk in and pick it up.. My husbands goes in to get the merchandise he's told they need his ID. He doesn't have his I'd, he didn't think they'd ask he looks and is 60 I call them AGAIN ask them if they can bring it OUT. to the car. I have to wait until all customers are helped. I waited until I had to call them. A 3rd time. I'm in a lot of pain reason I usually do curbside. Is this curbside service? BevMo employee has the lousiest curbside service. Stopped at this store to get a new limited edition liquor but unfortunately they had already sold out of the one I wanted! But no worries I shopped around the store and they had so many different drinks from mixers to beer to hard alcohol and even wine the choices were endless! I was able to get another whiskey that I liked and I'll have to keep checking back to see if I can get the limited edition liquor I originally wanted! But I'll definitely be back as they had an awesome selection of all different kinds of alcohol in all different sizes and the prices were really reasonable and if you sign up for there membership you can even save a few more dollars! The lady at the check out was super friendly and professional and was very knowledgeable about the original bottle I was looking for and when to check back based on when they get their delivery!!! The ambiance was pretty mellow and low key! And I gotta shout out the Manager who's name I think is Josh I was looking for a certain ale they didn't have but he was able to get it in and stock it on the regular for me and now I can get get it all the time! There is one thing you've got to like about chain liquor stores, and that's the knowledge that it will have that rare ingredient that you need to make that obscure cocktail that you're looking forward to making. The price will be fair and you'll be able to get in and out quickly. On this occasion, we needed Benedictine, they had it, and because we are in their club we got five dollars off. I came in to pick up a bottle of The Prisoner and The Fugitive by Orin Swift. I was hesitant to come here of the reviews but I decided to check it out for myself. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the clerk and I asked him to help me locate the two bottles. He was nice enough to locate The Prisoner but they did not carry The Fugitive. What a bummer! If I only went to my go to, I would have been fine but I was able to find one for dinner so I can't complain. This location seemed way smaller then other Bevmo location so selection is limited. The price here is also over priced but if you are a BevMo member, the "Specials" price is still same or higher then the average price elsewhere. Recently placed an online order and they double charged me! I called this store and was told sorry can not help you call customer service. I did guess what voice mail only say go online and email us. I did the response I got back was we can not help you call your bank and dispute the charge. I responded that this is the worst customer service ever. In return I got a customer service survey. They have a good selection of wine on the shelves but when it comes to refrigerated wines the selection is horrendous and needs to be expanded. If I want to get low quality refrigerated wine I would go to Walmart. Also, they have no urgency in fixing their refrigerators which has been out for a week. Do better. read more

This company won't sell you alcohol, unless you hand over your ID so they can scan it.  It doesn't matter if you look of age, they will insist on scanning your ID.  My husband is 67. He did show his ID, but asked them not to scan it. The store clerk insisted that without scanning, they won't sell to you.  TODAY THEY LOST US AS A CUSTOMER. So, if you don't want your personal information captured, DONT BUY AT BEVMO. Curious,,, What about customers with Govt jobs, like... * Law Enforcement, Judges, DAs, etc etc ????? I stopped at Bevmo in La Quinta California to pick up a last minute birthday gift which was a 1.75L of Tito Vodka. When I checked out the clerk asked if I wanted to become a member. I declined. She said the price was $40.09, however, If I furnished my telephone number the cost would be $29.46. What an under-handed ploy to get customer's telephone numbers for the purpose of targeted advertising! Everywhere else Tito Vodka sells for around $28.00 period with no gimmicks included. Disorganization. I went to buy a bottle of Hennessy for a price but it was for $20 dollars more. Confused based on the pricing I wanted to know why, turns out is that the whole shelf for the sizes of the bottles was disorganized with the sizes and price tags. I felt bad for the line holding up and I didn't like I was expecting to pay a certain price and it increase by $20 dollars more. read more

My last time at Bev-Mo. I agree with a previous reviewer--Bev-Less. I stopped in to see if they carried my favorite wine. I usually purchase it at Costco for $18.99. Unfortunately, they no longer carry it. I checked online at Total Wines and they sell it for $19.79 (6 bottle min). That would have been fine, but they weren't expecting another delivery until September. Besides, Bev-Mo is way more convenient for me. I asked the store manager if they carried it. He had 7 bottles. He said they would match any price except for discount stores (Costco). I understood. I explained that Total Wines carried it for $19.79 for a 6 bottle minimum and I would be more than happy if he would sell all 7 to me for the same price. He looked up the website and said "that's in Laguna Hills". I said it was the same price at Palm Desert, but they were currently out of stock. By they way, the Bev-Mo price was $27.99. He shook his head and said "go pick it up in Laguna Hills, but refused to match Total Wines price. INCREDIBLE. Have been a customer for over 20 years, but that was my very last visit. read more

I swore I would never set foot in another BevMo as long as I lived after my previous experience. But , that being said, I went there last Saturday, and Man , what a difference. I was helped by all employees present and was able to find my items in a very timely fashion. Not only that , but the Cashier, his name was Paul , by the way, was extremely helpful and had a very pleasant attitude. I was amazed that I was was treated so well compared to the last time. This store has a massive collection of anything alcohol and from various countries from wines to hard liquor... There are even nice martini glasses and starter martini glasses... There's even a really cool collection of the red party cups that are reusable...those very from red party cup shot glasses to red party cup to red party cup wine glasses LOL... There are various accessories for alcoholic beverage making to opening of said alcohol beverages... LOL There is even the elusive Soju...unfortunately it's not Korean but Japanese made... So, I would rather go find the true Korean Soju...but there were about four varieties of Japanese Soju... So, I can't knock off a star for that... :-) The card & celebration section had some really cute things in there... Remember to sign up for their rewards program so that you can save money :-) Bevmo Rewards... If you forget your card, they can always look it up for your phone number! Good place for one-stop shopping for your beverage needs. Love that they have a fun selection of sodas and other items that aren't alcoholic. As far as BevMo locations go, their liquor selection is good but not as great as others. We were able to find most of what we wanted with a few exceptions. The wine selection is decent, and the 5-cent sale makes it inexpensive to try new stuff. Where this location shines, though, is in its beer selection. There is a nice variety, and they carry the brands that this non-beer-loving gal wants. I walked in and found Ommegang Abbey Ale, Unibroue Ephemere, and Monks Cafe Flemish Sour Ale. I was done shopping; BevMo had just made my day. Once I get my 5% reward on my BevMo card, they might get an extra star. read more

It seemed like a good day to get my 5 cent wine for visitors who don't know the difference in the wine they are drinking. I bought a case of various wines and a few other items. Waiting on line for about 5 minutes, I pulled my cart up to the cashier. This young cashier, Jessica, points her finger at me and says she can help you down there pointing to another register. I never complain about stores and their employees who may not have the best customer service but that attitude was entirely not called for. Prices are better at the competitors and I don't need to be treated badly while spending money at a retail outlet. I won't go back. On the way out another employee told me she saw what happened and would address it with the manager. Today was my first time going into BevMo, and unfortunately might be my last due to the cashier that helped me out. John G was VERY rude. As I was looking and downloading the app on my phone, he kept rushing me to checkout because he wanted to go outside and smoke a cigarette. He made a rude comment to me as I was ready to check out and I did not appreciate that. I would like this to get addressed with his manager. Horrible service! The manager there Collen stickel refused to take our keg back that we ordered from them on super bowl. (meaning the shell of the keg) so we will not receive our deposit and then had the audacity to tell us to shop elsewhere like it was No big deal. My advice stay clear of this bevmo and shop at Costco it's cheaper or shop online at totalwine.com they have cheaper wine anyways. Good variety of spirits and the beer department is above average, but the wine selection looks like a distribution house for Southern and Young's. If you are looking for pallet wines then save yourself some money and go to COSTCO. If you want a unique wine then go to a legitimate wine store. read more

One star is too many. If I could give negative stars I would. I am the most positive person in the world and would never write a negative review, but the way I was treated was condescending and inappropriate. I was scolded (outside the location) for not wearing a mask and was ordered to stand behind a line. By the way, there was not one person nor car in the parking lot. I looked around at the crickets and tried telling the little bald angry man with a mask that I was there to just pick up my order, yet was scolded before I could even speak. This is not the America I know, not the customer service that warrants me going back. No wonder there was not one person in the parking lot. I ended up actually talking to so many employees on my last visit, and each person provided exceptional service and advice. They weren't pushy; they weren't impatient with all my assbackwards questions; they gave me just enough options and important points about the beverages I was looking for -- of course I went in looking for very specific items that I couldn't find myself. With their help, I actually purchased drinks that are better and cheaper! Who can argue with that? read more
