    Interior and wine selection

We had an absolutely fantastic time at a wine tasting! Kayla was knowledgeable and friendly. She really made our experience wonderful! We each tasted 6 different wines ranging from whites to reds. It's a beautiful space to enjoy a glass of wine. They have a small bar inside, table seating and outdoor seating as well. They have a great variety of wines and hard liquor to purchase. If you're looking for a great place to go and have a winetasting or simply a glass of wine I would definitely recommend Vino!

I got introduced to this place through a Yelp Elite event. What a gem. Me and my sister both did the wine tasting, with 6 samples each. The bartender, I believe her name was Alexis was very friendly and knowledgeable and helped us go through the choices and her suggestions were spot on. We were looking for a little snack to go with our wine and ordered a charcuterie board to munch on. The other customers sitting around the bar were very friendly and open to chatting a little, but everyone kept their distance. My sister ended up taking home two bottles of the Moscato and of course, I got my Yelp swag bag which included a wine glass, corkscrew, a small bottle of white zinfandel, and a hand sanitizer. Since I don't get out to the 3rd ward much, I probably would have never found this place. on my own. It is a great place to buy a gift. Thanks for another fun-filled evening

Our server, Nicole, really made this a memorable event. She paired 4 Girl Scout cookies with assorted wines for a really fun pairing! Later we had a cheese board and a little more wine. I was very impressed with their wine collection available for purchase to take home by the bottle or case.

This was the perfect, cozy spot to have a few glasses of wine and catch up with a friend. The bartender was SO nice and the selection of wines was extensive. There is a wine for everyone's budget and taste at Vino Third Ward!

I recently attended one of their wine classes, and it was a great fun experience. Our instructor was Graham. He is an experienced sommelier very knowledgeable -- definitely an enjoyable experience. I would recommend the course if you are interested in learning more about wines.

First time here. It's a historic building on the south end of Bay View. A big old white building…read more(previously called the White House) with a small parking lot on the south side. We had reservations at 6:00 on a Saturday night. (It was cold, a little drizzly, and windy out.) The front entrance has several steep steps, and when you walk through, you are literally at the host station. They were going to seat us right behind the host station, but we knew it was going to be a problem as people went in and out. We asked to be seated a little farther from the door, and after a bit of discussion (it sounded like this was going to be a little issue), they were able to find a table for two in the parlor. So glad! Got settled in right away with menus and waters. Our server did a good job of getting us up to speed on the menu, the service, and the cocktails. They did a very good job throughout the evening (thanks, Roberto). We settled on the Window Seat (Beef Tallow and Rosemary Washed Vodka, crazy but true) and the Night Clubbing (with espresso-infused Campari). Both were very good choices. We decided that we wanted to start with three dishes and then regroup if we needed more. These included the Bok Choy Salad, Cumin and Cinnamon Braised Pork Shoulder, and Venison Tartare (Dijon Ice Cream?). The Bok Choy Salad was a real surprise, with the entire collection being so bright and flavorful. The dates had a meaty quality. The dressing with Nuoc Cham was savory with just a bit of heat. We both decided that we could have made an entire meal of that. The Pork Shoulder came next and was a good portion, with the meat tender and flavorful. The Quinoa Polenta was interesting, but I can't say that it was something I would seek out. I have had Beef Tartare before, but this was a first for Venison Tartare, so of course I just had to order it. What struck me first was that the entire thing (not just the Dijon Ice Cream) was very cold, almost frozen. I tried a couple of bites, and it was so cold that unless you let it sit in your mouth to thaw out, it was somewhat tasteless. I spread it around the plate to thaw out, and it was a big improvement. It's a good-sized portion, and even after loading up on the three pieces of bread, there was still plenty left (maybe a couple more pieces of bread?). There were a couple of desserts that we would have loved to try, but we were full and had a performance to attend. So we will have to wait until next time. Really enjoyed our first dinner. Loved the inventiveness of the menu. The staff all seem to really care about the business and the diners. With the placement of the front door and the draftiness of the dining room, we will likely book our next dinner when the weather turns warmer.

They were festive with Halloween decorations and had a gothic feel. I tried the lamb jerk dumplings and tofu. Highly recommend. They both had unique flavors especially the lamb. The tofu had a nice crispy texture to it with the soy based sauce glazed over it with scallions. I also tried a mocktail version of La Pucelle, it wasn't explicitly listed in the mocktails section so you can order a mocktail version of some the alcoholic cocktails. For dessert I tried the Panna Cotta, it was my first time ever trying it and tho go get it was really good. It had a pomegranate sorbet scoop on top sprinkled with frankincense laid on a bed of shaved ice with the creamy base at the bottom of the bowl. It was refreshing! The waiter was very helpful, he explained how they served food and drinks and when I asked about I n residents for the dessert he was able to describe them in detail.

I was staying nearby, an was planning a little picnic, I knew theif wine shop would be perfect. They have the bar setup in the middle, but I was feeling a bit crushed by all the people and just perused around the bottle area. Their selection is fantastic. They have it separated by location and cover all price points. Everyone can find something. I was given space to look around. Twice someone asked me if I needed help, but it was polite and not pushy. Once I found a Montepulciano I was interested in, someone came over from the bar to check me out. I asked him if it was possible to get one of the cheese trays to go, and was told it was no problem. He would ring it up for me and get right on it. He offered me a seat at the bar while I waited, but I was happy just looking at their other wine options. The cheese plate was super tasty, and a really good value at $15. There were four cheeses, grapes, almonds, crasins, and bread. We really liked the selection and were impressed with the size. Seriously nothing but good things to say. A wonderful reason to visit the market.

It was a little industrial with a lot of seating, so this is a good spot to balance getting those fun going-out vibes with actually securing a seat. There seemed to be something for everyone on the menu, and they had a lot of collabs with other businesses. We opted for two different IPAs that were both delicious. For food, we split the cheese curds, hummus, and BBQ pork Mac and cheese. The cheese curds were extra crispy and I loved the garlic Parmesan seasoning. The chive crema served alongside was herby, creamy, and unique, giving a refreshing contrast. I enjoyed the selection of veggies with the hummus and the grilled garlic naan was delicious, though the hummus itself did taste just like the Sabra red pepper kind that you could buy in a store. However, the Mac and cheese absolutely stole the show- it was decadently cheesy with a wonderful white cheddar sauce, and the pork itself was slightly sweet and super tender. The scallions and jalapeños completed the picture perfectly. Would definitely recommend ordering this. The bartender taking our orders was also super nice and even brought a complimentary pour due to the wait for the second round, which we'd not mentioned at all.
