My first thought is that they must be getting government money. People are 4 to a room, less than 6 feet apart, with only a curtain separation, televisions blaring, people screaming, and a lot of dementia. This all appears to be normal to the staff. The place is filthy. Food and crumbs on the tray table, in the drawers and on the floor; dated, broken furniture. We jsut got here. I removed my family member AMA when they couldn't get the medications straight, and I couldn't leave the family member there alone. Not a place you can rehab and heal from. We thought we were getting PT to get better. We did not stay 6 hours. Half of that time was leaving.

Marked incorrectly, this was actually wheat bread. Plus I never really asked for these but they kept bringing them.

I spent 2 weeks in this hell hole and was glad to leave when I did. The only redeeming thing about this shabby place are some of the CNA's that work there. CNA's are notoriously underpaid, undervalued and overworked. But a few of these folks are wonderful. Thank you to those of you who worked with me and got me cleaned up and fed. The office staff is bad. They don't listen, don't seem to care and are quite condescending at times. The kitchen staff seemed like slackasses to me and they don't really pay attention to dietary needs much at all. The place needs a good cleaning because there are splashes of fluids on walls and they don't seem to wipe everything down at regular intervals. They lost several articles of my clothing and never found them or replaced them. I went many times without eating because they couldn't get my food correct, EVER. Plus it wasn't good and I even had to order in at one point. Spent most of my time there in the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on and that's because the rehab portion of my stay was inconsistent and inadequate. Though I must say there are some cool therapists there. But they can get ify too. Some CNA's didn't clean others or myself well at all and when I left there there was an outbreak of an infectious disease. I had to be put in quarantine when I left here and went back to the hospital. There was even many issues with my medicine. Dosages being not given on time, wrong meds at the wrong time and even missing meds! They told me that I was out of one in particular, I should not have been out of it because I didn't take that much of it at all. How do I know? I documented everything that happened to me while I was there. This place stressed me out so badly during my stay that they re-agrivated my condition and made it worse! I even tried calling an ombudsman while I was there because I felt so mistreated. Unfortunately the office was closed during the holidays so I just had to deal. It was literally a nightmare for me the entire time I was there. I'm about 20yrs younger than the average client age and this was my life for 2 weeks. I heard things from residents and staff that I can't unhear. I can't imagine what the residents have to deal with day in and day out for years... If you love your family, don't place them here. They will hate it. There's much more I'm leaving out because I don't want this review to be the longest ever, but I hope you'll reconsider based on reading this. Just know we picked this place because of the glowing reviews online and on Yelp, but it is every bit the opposite. BEWARE. My stay was in Dec-Jan. 2019 Absolutely horrible.

THIS PLACE SHOULD NOT BE USED AS A REHAB CENTER I thought Kaiser sent me to a rehab center after my foot and leg surgery on july 24 2021 but I ended up in hell. How can they call this place a rehab center when it is simple a poorly run nursing home for Alzheimer / dementia patient. if only I had read the reviews I would have never set a foot in this place. But I must agree with Kandis the only redeeming thing about this place are some of the people that work there.A few of them were very sweet and kind especially the young one as for the oldest worker they were obviously burned out and could not wait to finish their shift and couldn't care less about the patients needs. The next day after my arrival I asked to be moved into a different room because my bed was so bad, I was in a cubicle with no light , the women next to me cried all night complaining she was in a lot of pain, and the other one was telling me over and over that someone had stolen her pillow and her rings. it is only when I was moved into the new room , yes I had more space and more light , that I realized i was not in a rehab center but a nursing home for Alzheimer people. This place is filthy , the smell is so bad that I did not want to get out of my room .In two days the bathroom we have to share with the room next to us did not get clean , no one bother to check on me during the night, and could not get anyone to help me to go to the bathroom . It is only in the morning that a young nurse changed my bed when she found me in tears on the side of it as for the food I feel sorry for the patient that have it everyday. I fell so sick , stress and unsafe that I demanded to be release immediately. I have a hard time believing that some people gave this place 5 stars . Thank god that most of those people don't even realized where they are.

Dinner - 1 (one) slice of deli turkey. 1 piece of bacon. 1 slice of tomato. Also some soup and peaches with cinnamon.

My aunt became a resident at EmpRes Post Acute Rehabilitation Center in September 2017. The staff…read moreat the facility are outstanding. Every employee I've met has been kind, caring, concerned and considerate. The facility is older but the outstanding care and staff makes up for the age of the facility. I would highly recommend a tour of EmpRes Post Acute Rehabilitation if you are looking for a home for a loved one.

This place does not even deserve one star. Maybe for some of the decent staff. If you really care…read morefor your loved one looking for care, do NOT choose this place. EmpRes does not watch their patients nor do they know how to manage them. Put yourself in these patients shoes and you would not want to be here either. Beyond disgusted! Falls, bed sores, bruises, you name it. While speaking with a nurse I hear a patient calling for help multiple times and I look over and the poor woman is flailing on the floor practically de-robed, had fallen from bed. I advised the nurse and she looked over and said, "oh, I'll have to get a CNA" and continues her conversation. No CNA's were in sight and 5 other call lights were on with no one being helped. Pure neglect. Don't let the five star reviews from a year ago fool you. Word of mouth is the way to go. Everyone I've spoken to about this facility has been beyond shocked that anyone would leave their loved ones in the hands of these people. Low quality care at a high price.

Over the last few months, I have researched a variety of care/living options for my uncle,…read moreincluding at-home care and senior community living. I was immediately impressed when I researched Springfield Place in Petaluma, CA. The staff went out of their way to answer questions and to provide any help needed before, during, and after the decision-making process of whether or not this was the right location for my uncle. Once he decided that this was where he wanted to be, the staff helped in every way possible to get him moved in and set up in his new home, including personally going to Kaiser's medical offices when we were having trouble getting some of the required forms signed by the doctor. Without their help to navigate Kaiser's medical system, I think we would still be waiting on those forms long after I had to return home on the East Coast. The staff had excellent covid protocols in place that made me feel like my uncle would be as safe as possible. They had a great set of documents to help me organize what was needed to move him in quickly and efficiently. Their facilities staff was helpful in hanging a few pictures that I couldn't manage. The front desk had a welcome sign up for my uncle during his entire first week there. The other residents made a point to come introduce themselves and to say hello. There was a notable mix of residents who were at various stages of care and mobility, and they were often out in the common areas talking and socializing with each other. There was a guest room that I was able to use for a couple of days to help make the transition a bit easier. The food was surprisingly good, and I'm rather picky. I was expecting cafeteria level food and was delighted to find that the food was restaurant quality....and better than a few restaurants that I went to during my stay. They have a variety of rooms layouts available, all at different costs. We went with a large studio with a large den, and we used the den as a bedroom. This apartment that we chose doesn't have a window in the bedroom/den, but it does have two large French doors that open into the living space making it feel bigger and brighter. We were able to fit a lot more furniture and "stuff" than I had imagined due to the extra closets by the bathroom. I know a lot of people are concerned about the costs of senior care facilities, but at Springfield Place we got the apartment, the assistance of the facilities team, the nursing staff, laundry assistance for towels and sheets, the front desk staff, three meals per day, heating, electricity, and community activities all within the price of the monthly payment. When you add all of that up and then add on top of it the fact that you know that your loved one is not alone and that there is someone always around to make sure they are okay.... the price seems more than reasonable. The price does increase a little depending upon the level of care that your loved one needs, but even that seems reasonable, especially after seeing how well the staff cares for those who need additional levels of care. All in all, I am very happy with the experience and am really glad that we found Springfield Place. Plus, as my uncle says "It's close to the golf course!"
