I have been going to KODA on and off based on availability, Woman i saw before was decent and Dillion at first offered anti inflammation leg massage at first but today Dillon He tortured my Bone on Bone knee caps and not in a good way using my disability to cause harm and almost collapsed from severe pain inflicted, I have right side sciatic pain as well and use a sciatica pain brace of which he was clueless about, Sciatica nerve flares when trying to rise from a seated position, So he made me do that from lower leveraged position, Worst PT i have ever encountered, especially since i am big & tall, I needed stretching with my right side calf mostly, not leveraging my knee caps bone on bone the ass wouldn't change direction knowing i was dizzy and hurting in a bad way, NOT HELPING! Post-op PT for total knee replacements can be a real bear, especially tight joints like knees...I know, I've had 2 surgeries in 11 months. There were times when I felt like I was in the middle of the ocean with no land in sight. Enter Koda Physical Therapy! They got me paddling! A Medicare veteran, I know intimately the value, and breakdowns, of scheduling. Koda guided me through the logistics of securing convenient appointments and navigating the quagmire of Workers' Compensation. The therapists (the "tightrope walkers" who recognize that PT isn't always a picnic) are deeply experienced pros educating, motivating and congratulating along the way. Having these true partners is invaluable. Well worth the twice weekly 60 miles journey, my surgery staff continues to marvel at my progress and I'm confident I couldn't achieve those results alone. I feel very fortunate to have found Loren, his operation KODA, and the team working there. First, the facilities are modern and clean, comfortable and never crowded. Parking has never been an issue. The operation is high-tech, with each employee/PT carrying your history, progress and routines in an iPad so they can efficiently cover each other...as a team...and continue your progress. The email and text appointment notification system is also handy. Then there is Loren himself. He is a dedicated professional with a friendly demeanor. After only 5 visits, I can tell he is honing in on the nuances of my damaged shoulder and is spot on isolating the treatments necessary, carefully, to add to my treatment regimen. The location is excellent for me but seems to be quickly accessible from most of Petaluma (1 block off Lakeville & McDowell). Koda rocks! I am 83 years old and had been referred by my spine doctor to find a physical therapist to work with the constant pain I had mainly in my lower back, knees and legs. I went online and discovered Koda was not only close to my house but had such good reviews. Jessica, who handles that front desk with extreme patience, great followup combined with a fantastic sense of humor which all make for a pleasant experience before the therapy even begins! Kevin White was my therapist and I cannot say enough good things about Kevin; he is so thorough, so careful and gentle, always checking in that nothing he was doing bothered or hurt me in any way. If anything bothered me, he would immediately find a new way to get to the goal he was going for. HIs work really paid off in terms of feeling there was some hope down the road..some things didn't work but he would find another path that helped. I unfortunately have to stop my therapy for awhile due to a newly discovered medical issue but certainly not because I want to stop the journey I have started with Koda. The entire staff seem upbeat and friendly; the vibe is warm and their work, based on Kevin, is excellent with a genuine desire to help each person gain better mobility and less pain. I had a nagging lower back pain which wasn't going away, despite my best efforts. I found Koda PT and I have nothing but good things to say. On my first appointment Loren did a full and thorough analysis, much more in depth than I had experienced at any previous PT practices. I've had deep dull neck pain almost 10 years. Recently it gets worse so almost every day I got constant neck pain. So far I've been to 2 x MRI and many physical therapy. Even when I lay down, I still had pain!!! So miserable!! My spinal doctor doesn't know what to do and all stretching exercise and other exercise that my PHYSICAL THERAPY showed me doesn't work. I move to Petaluma a year ago from LA. I didn't expect my neck pain would get better. Since my neck pain bothers me 24 hours and all my expensive pillows don't help. I had knee replacement surgery in October and needed to find a Physical Therapy facility to help with my recovery. I was unable to get into a couple other places due to the fact that they didn't accept my health insurance or they were too booked, so I stumbled upon Koda Physical Therapy. I'm going to start my review off with Jessica she's the front desk and office manager she was super helpful in working with my schedule. Even with a mask on I knew I was greeted with a smile. Her assist is also super helpful and pleasant to chat with. Loren at Koda physical therapy is amazing!! I have been to many different physical therapy offices dealing with my chronic issues. He is patient and listens to my concerns each time I come in. I have even worked with Kevin both here and at a previous practice he is very knowledgeable. Loren and Kevin are great with giving feedback, I appreciate as a patient that the two physical therapists work so well together in dealing with my ailments to make sure that I get the best treatment possible. I have seen great improvements in my chronic ailments and that is 100% thanks to Loren and his incredible knowledge on what would work best. He actually chased me down in his parking lot after we'd said goodbye the other day, because he thought of one more exercise that would be just perfect for one of my issues. Need I say more, really? He very clearly cares about his patients' well-being. I have been to several Physical Therapists in the past - I'm an active person and it comes with injuries, to be sure. Consequently, I have a number of past experiences to draw from when writing this review. I recently started seeing Loren for a knee injury. From the very first meeting it was clear that he is a person who is genuinely interested in getting to the root of the problem and solving it. I think we spent 90 minutes together during that initial meeting. He is kind, intelligent, patient and dedicated. I ask a lot of questions (and follow up questions) and he has been extremely gracious and forthcoming with his support. The facilities are very modern, super clean, and full of cool equipment to use. I decided to go to KODA Physical Therapy on the advice of my orthopedic doctor who said Loren was one of the best physical therapists in Petaluma. I have not seen others in Petaluma, but I can say that I have had an excellent experience here. Loren is great at explaining how your body works and the reasons for doing certain exercises. The building and equipment are really nice and he definitely will take as much time with you as you need. He also gets the job done and doesn't require you to come back for more therapy than is needed. It's really nice being able to trust your therapist when doing certain exercises. read more
