I wanted to update my review now having had two tui na sessions with Robinson. Robinson is very good at what he does, and while I'm not sure that this could be classified as energy work, Robinson does tend to move a lot of energy when he's working on you. this can primarily be felt through his hands when they "turn on" or rather, you can feel his fingers radiating quite a bit of heat. this is a good thing. he's pretty willing to explain what he's doing, and I've had a fun time talking with him about related things and how they translate into the martial arts, or chi gung. in terms of the tui na itself, it is actually really relaxing, and left me feeling relaxed and ready to sleep. Robinson is pretty good about making sure you know to say something if it's too much, or when he's going to be placing his hands on your face or hands. because he's knowledgeable and listens, I've had no problem seeing him for this particular kind of treatment, which says something because I'm particular about who touches my neck and back, due to the nature of previous injuries. all in all, I would definitely recommend Robinson's tui na treatment to anyone interested, as the cycle of chiropractic with dr. dao, plus this treatment, that I've been doing the past two months definitely seems to be helping alleviate some of the ongoing issues I've had for about the past 10 years. read more

Some people are chosen to "be' healers, and Dr. Dao is certainly a chosen one. I am the daughter of a chiropractor, so I know my body, and what it is to receive excellent care. Dr. Dao does NOT over adjust! She is present, attentive, intuitive, caring and remembers our very first conversation. She is amazing! In only one month (of 3 times a week -- I recommend the investment in your well-being only IF you want to feel GREAT! Remember what that was like? Most of us forgot because pain became our best friend) my entire body has changed! The way I stand, feel and look. I started to get what I call 'turtle neck" -- where the skin on my neck was gathering -- I was SO embarrassed because anyway, I had been under chiropractic care my entire life -- and LOOK at this! This was a result of a fall I had as a child (whiplash) that never was addressed, and of course, life and all it's challenges. In addition to this, I would find myself getting adjusted, and then a day later -- I was needing another one. One month, and 80% of the turtle neck is GONE! I feel good - I did do some retracing, which caused my body to ache from the way it had been, to the way it is now...but that's expected. I've been seeing Dr. Dao for prenatal chiropractic care to help with debilitating PGP (pelvic girdle pain), a condition that causes excruciating back pain, sciatica, neuropathy and muscle spasms during pregnancy. Dr Dao is the best! She's knowledgeable, skilled and very caring. She's not a quick pop you and your out. She takes her time figuring out a treatment plan and focuses on the patients needs. My husband has been to a few chiropractors (he broke a vertebrae in high school that also caused rib issues). Dr Dao is the only one who gave us real answers and is able to correct his issues. Dr. Dao is a phenomenal chiropractor! Our family has gone to her for years, and she has taken extremely good care of all of us. When our pre-teen daughter had a painful subluxation due to severe spinal curvature, Dr. Dao was able to restore her to excellent alignment in a matter of months. She can also take care of dancers' feet and musicians' hands, and she helped me recover from sciatica without any pain medication. I can't say enough good things about Dao's skill. Dr. Dao is a true professional with a real gift. I have been utilizing chiropractic for decades and know that there are lots of mediocre ones out there, and some bad ones. Finding someone who is top tier is not easy, so I recommend giving her a try. My body tells me over time (usually within a month) if it's working for me or not. I do physical work, so my alignment really means a lot to me, and if I ain't right, my body is going to let me know. I knew within the first 2 weeks that she was helping my body to get back to 'true north'. Dr. Dao utilizes different techniques depending upon what your body needs.
