Just had massage at EMT with Lisa. It was one of the best & most relaxing massage that I've had in many years! I had the Swedish massage but had asked Lisa to make it a little firmer (medium pressure) & she did not disappoint. I was a bit tight in my lower back, glutes & hamstrings & she worked the knots & tightness out beautifully! The whole experience was way better than going to some boujee expensive health spa for sure!... hot towel wipe downs, some hot stones & overall just an amazing massage! I'll be back for sure! read more

Lucy is amazing! I had a tender knot between my shoulders after a couple of hard days at work. It was getting worse as the day went on and making it hard to do chores, but I was able to book an appointment on the same day. 60 minutes of deep tissue massage later, it's like the knot was never there. Lucy is so skilled and I appreciate her so much. Very reasonable prices, as well! I'll be back! read more

The massage therapists ( Amy and Binbin) are amazing! Arrived in Petaluma after a long drive and felt we needed a massage. Did a search online and found Essential Massage. Made a phone call and booked a time and got in within a couple of days - they are extremely accommodating! When we arrived they were very prompt, kind, and professional. Didn't know what to expect as we were from out of town; however, we were pleasantly surprised how attentive they were to our needs. I've never had a massage this thorough for such a reasonable fee. I've spent a lot of money at different resorts and always left disappointed in how inadequate the massage was. Next time we are in town we will book an appointment! Highly recommend them to all! Thank you Essential Massage read more

I've been coming here for a while and have even recommended it to friends. Most of my visits have been great, but I did have one day where there was a bit of miscommunication. Bin Bin went above and beyond to make it right by inviting me back for an hour session on the house. That gesture really showed their commitment to customer satisfaction. Every other time, I've had a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend them if you're looking for a great massage. read more

I adore how they ask at check in to circle the areas that needs focus on for the massage. The area where I needed extra pressure, really helped and made it all the more worthwhile to get a massage here. They do prenatals and facials, which makes them stand out comparatively with other massage places nearby. The convenience of them accommodating same day appointments, was also another reason to book here. My husband was stressed so he had a deep tissue massage and they were able to put us in the same room. Masseuse was professional on being skilled on where to address and how much pressure to put. Relaxing music with clean rooms, helped set the ambiance surely. They need to expand to next door and offer more options to their massage types, such as foot massages and etc. It'll be truly a spa haven then. I'm so glad that this therapy massage is in my neighborhood, Petaluma! Ample parking. I will definitely be back! read more

Essential Massage Therapy - Bouncy ball - Massage Near Me - Petaluma, California

I love that this place does traditional cupping and gua sha with massage! I didn't expect to come across that in Petaluma. It was easy to make an appointment, large and cozy lobby area, free bottled water, each customer gets their own room. Within the room, there's a coat rack, bench, and jewelry dish to place your items. My masseuse was Jenny. I got a 60 min deep tissue massage and cupping. She practices the traditional method of fire cupping with glass jars, unlike the plastic cups and manual air suction that American masseuses do. She also gave me tips on how to keep my body warm when I told her that I'm always cold and pointed out that my legs and spine aren't aligned, which might be why I've been feeling pain in my hips when I sit. I appreciated that and made an appointment with my physical therapist the next day. Prices are great so I highly recommend this spot! read more

Lady who performed my message very rude and depending excessive tip. The whole experience was not relaxing at all.

What went well? Everything! BinBin was my massage therapist and she was amazing. She was on time, thorough, prompt, considerate, and so skilled at massage. I am definitely a lifetime customer now! And such a value, too! So happy to have found her! read more

My husband was having lots of back pain so we called Essential Massage Therapy & they were able to schedule us same day! The space is clean & their equipment is well maintained. Our massage therapists were sweet & professional. My husband got the Deep tissue massage & immediately felt relief from his back pain. I got a more lighter massage & felt very relaxed afterwards. i booked this after a recent pain and Binbin did an amazing job. She was thorough and made sure the type of massage was more specific to my needs than what I booked. I will be returning again and recommending. read more

I took a chance on Essential Massage Therapy. They fit me in last minute on the sane day. I spoiled myself with a 4 hands massage. What an experience. Literally two people massaged me simultaneously. I loved it. I will go back to try the other services that they offer. The ladies were friendly. One of them was easy to have a conversation with if you so choose. It's in a business complex. It's a nice area with a small parking lot. During regular daytime business hours, the parking fills up. read more

We had a couples massage scheduled and I picked here looking at reviews. Usually my husband goes to JL. The only disappointment was we had separate rooms which is not what I expect when scheduling a couples massage. But the massages were some of the best we have had. The therapists really worked hard on the areas that needed it and I think I actually dozed off for a minute. Very responsive and almost k intuitive the way they worked. My husband and I both felt that way. Only thing I'd suggest is if you want a room together to call and make sure. Also, schedule when you can be lazy the rest of the day because it was so relaxing we didn't want to do anything else. read more

I had a great massage and it was a very reasonable price. I waited a while for the massage therapist to finish up with another client before they started with me, but I would still go back for another massage! read more

Really enjoyed my massage, the hot stone was a great add in. Lisa was a great massage therapist and checked in to ask whether the pressure was okay. Everything was clean and rooms were well appointed (hooks for hanging your belongings) and relaxing (instrumental music soundtrack in the background but not too loud). Staff was very professional, both front of house and therapists. Easy to find (in the medical park across the street from PVH), plenty of parking. read more

I'm not much of a reviewer, but this biz is such a standout, I have to put in a good word. As an entertainer, I have traveled the world, enjoying massages in exotic and domestic locations, in exceptional spas and resorts, and I have NEVER received better bodywork than I consistently enjoy at Essential. I've been to both locations (Santa Rosa and Petaluma), and you simply can't go wrong. Everyone I've run into coming and going is smiling and booking their next visit on the way out. I almost hesitate to share this, as I don't want competition for my favorite spot, but I have to give credit where credit is due. This IS the place. There, I've said it! Enjoy. read more

Phenomenal customer service, one of the best massages I've ever had and such fair prices. Booking was so easy. Honestly, I felt like I couldn't find a decent massage for a price I could afford and I felt desperate from how much pain my body was in. The experience was worth every penny. I sound so enthusiastic because I genuinely was in agony prior to my appointment. It felt good but she applied a ton of pressure like I had asked and used techniques that really made a difference in my pain. read more

Essential Massage Therapy - This is my face immediately after the massage. I am SO relaxed. Look at me. I look crazy. It was so good. - Massage Near Me - Petaluma, California

I had a full body one hour massage with Lily today. It was wonderful! I asked her combination of Swedish and deep tissue. She was very attentive to the body parts that were so tight and really needed massage. Highly recommend recommended and I would go again when I'm in Petaluma. read more

One of the best massages I've ever had! Lucy was my therapist and she really dug in deep for my deep tissue massage. I could feel my muscles releasing as she broke down the tissue. She listened to what I wanted her to focus on and she was also able to just feel where I was tense. She focuses on the muscles (doesn't hit bones) and knows to go softer on the sensitive areas (like legs and arm). I usually have to ask my therapists to adjust their pressure but Lucy could just feel where my body needed it so I didn't have to tell her anything. If you need a true deep tissue massage, go to Lucy! I had a lot of tension in my neck, shoulders and back from carrying and breastfeeding my infant-- I've been taking ibuprofin for weeks now because my body just hurts. I got my massage yesterday and this is the first day my back doesn't hurt. About the space: it's clean and bright (just the lobby), easy to find, small and safe parking lot, kind employees, take credit cards, fair pricing, and great therapists. I'll definitely be back! read more

*Prenatal massage review only*Let me start by saying my massage therapist was very kind and tried her best. I booked a prenatal massage, there was no prenatal table, I guess I should have asked but every other place has had one. I should have left after seeing that. The bright light was on the WHOLE time, you could hear people laughing next door and it just was not a relaxing massage. I'm more tense now than when I showed up. Maybe a regular massage is better and that's how it's got such good reviews? read more

I had a massage here yesterday and while the lady worked very hard, I came out feeling worse than when I went in. Then I woke up at 3:30am to use the restroom and it took me a heating pad and 40 min to be able to fall asleep again I was in so much pain. The day has been ice packs, heat and rest trying to recover. I know other people have enjoyed this place but I will not be returning. read more

I've been going to Essential Massage for a few years now for deep tissue treatment, usually 90 minutes. Their therapists are all highly competent and skilled. Lisa, in particular, is amazing. She has great awareness as to which muscles and joints need attention and gives just the right amount of strength to each area. It is always a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The clinic is a nice, bright, and welcoming place. I recommend Essential Massage very highly. read more

My mom's friend referred her here and my mom loved it so much that she treated me to a massage during my visit. Saw Lucy and had what was probably the best massage I've ever had and I've had hundreds in my life. So so perfect. Will definitely be coming to Lucy when I'm in town visiting my mama. Amazing. Thank you!! read more

I have been going to Essential Massage Therapy to see Bin Bin for regular prenatal massages throughout my second and third trimesters. She's great! I had experiences before where a massage therapist was afraid to apply pressure due to me being pregnant, but that is not the case with Bin Bin. If you like more pressure she will apply it. She is very thorough. The prenatal massages are side lying (or 3/4?) and she uses hot stones toward the end of each side. She must have a great memory because I told her just once that I didn't like neck massaging and she always remembered that for months after. I will definitely be going back after the birth to check out her regular non prenatal massages. Either way, I 100% recommend for prenatal massage! read more

I came here after a long morning bike ride on a hot summer day. So, I was looking for a rejuvenating massage experience. The place was located in a quieter area of Petaluma and had a nice private ambiance. The massage therapists were great and greeted very professionally. My masseuse was Judy and she did a great job and put medium strength on my back. I could feel my muscles loosen. She worked on my lower back and shoulders and I could feel her working my problem areas out. When I asked Judy also gave me an essential oil treatment and was great in working her hand and elbows on my stress area and put the pressure needed to work on the body parts. I would definitely recommend Essential healing and Judy. Would be coming back to visit when I am in the area. read more

OMG this place it the bomb! I actually cancelled my physical therapy appointments and go here instead. Bin Bin the owner is so knowledgeable on aromatherapy and cupping, really knows how to use it and it works. The massage using cups is Devine, it gets right in to the muscle and feels incredible. Bin bin and her team, Lucy and Jidy are true healers, they have gotten me out of horrible neck and back issues, IBS issues and Sinus issues using aroma therapy and massage. This places cares, it's not just a turn and churn massage place it's a special place of care and healing. I am so grateful I found Bin bin and her team. Truly a special special place. read more
