It was my first visit to the Falmouth location. I called from the parking lot 15 minutes before my appointment not knowing where to park. After receiving poor instructions, I called again from inside the building 5 minutes before my appointment. I spoke to the front desk person twice. But, I was 4 minutes late. After waiting for over 30 minutes, I was told I would have to wait until after the lunch break to see if the doctor could squeeze me in. I replied that I was 4 minutes late and I called twice. The receptionist told me, "it was actually, like, 6 minutes". Now in tears in their waiting room with lots of expectant new moms, I sat embarrassed (because yes, the 20-something receptionist scolded me by yelling across the waiting area from her desk) and terrified because I was not there for a routine visit. I am in my late forties, professional, mother...and because this is one of the few offerings on Cape Cod I stuck with them. Shame on me. I'm writing this review in the event that anyone out there is looking. You will be FAR better served by locating a doctor through the Brigham (Boston or satellite offices closer to the Cape) than by the individuals at this practice/factory who care so little about their patients it is alarming.

Gowell was especially helpful throughout my whole pregnancy in 2013, and even though he was always busy he managed to squeeze me in for an appointment when I needed him the most. His nurse Liz is also super amazing as well, I can call the office and Liz will help me out with most of my needs, super amazing nurse and loves what she does :) The scheduling isn't always the best when going in for a basic check up bit honestly what Dr's office really sees you on time anymore? But I would recommend this Dr to everyone. He is so genuine, honest, and extremely caring. Took me over a year to finally update this, so here we are! *LOL*…read more I walked in on a Wednesday morning in January to be induced as I was 4 days past my due date and had gestational diabetes and Dr. Bass was uncomfortable with me going up to 41 weeks with the condition. Dr. Bass checked in on me during the day to see how the induction was going (it was going SLOW); she ended up breaking my water later on that evening. I got an epidural a time after that and waited some more... Fast forward to the next day, Dr. Bass was at the end of her shift and one of the other OBs, Dr. Licare, took over for her and she ended up delivering my baby by c-section that afternoon. Everything went smoothly post-delivery and had one postpartum appointment with Dr. Bass at the 6-week point to measure how everything was going with the baby as well as myself. After that, it's a check up one year after that, which is coming up. I've been very happy with my experience with Dr. Bass and all the other OBs at the Newport Women's Clinic. If I had to do all over again, I'd still choose this place!

Went in to see Dr. Atkins for a surgery after already having an unsuccessful surgery with a diff…read moredoctor and seeing multiple other doctors to get an iUD fragment out. He was finally the 5th doctor I met with who could get this fragment out!! The first surgery with a dif doctor had complications and had to go in laparoscopic. Dr. Atkins did the surgery months later in under half hour. I was in and out of the hospital in a few hours. So thankful for getting referred to him. He was very knowledgeable and confident and made me feel comfortable the whole time. I can't thank him enough! So thankful my nightmare IUD experience that has been going on for 8 months is over thanks to Dr. Atkins!

I originally thought I'd go with one particular midwife, but she was booked when I needed my first appointment, so they put me with Jane Bradley instead for that first meeting. We ended up liking her so much that we never reverted! She has been great and listening and recommending care for our (more difficult than expected) pregnancy. The office had one snafu where they scheduled me for an appointment and then - without notifying me - cancelled the appointment (I guess one of the midwives needed unexpected knee surgery?), but I was really impressed at how the office rallied to get me the care I needed within 24 hours. Definitely glad I found this practice!
