He moves along at a speedy pace, demonstrating his incredible skill. Most of the time surgeons can be put into one or 2 different skill catagories (fast, good, nice). The administrative staff were warm, welcoming, and easy to communicate with, which made for a pleasant initial interaction. Unfortunately, my consultation with Dr. Loffredo did not meet professional expectations. During our brief interaction, approximately 10 minutes, he was dismissive and spoke over me throughout the conversation. Despite asking questions, he repeatedly interrupted my responses, which made it difficult to feel heard or respected as a patient. Additionally, the nurse present in the room demonstrated a similar lack of professionalism. As a nurse myself, I hold fellow healthcare professionals to a high standard, and I found the behavior of both Dr. Loffredo and his nurse to be discourteous and unprofessional. Following the appointment, Dr. Loffredo contacted me by phone and spoke in a manner I found abrupt and inappropriate. Given the nature of this experience, I would not return to this practice, regardless of cost. While I had heard positive things about Cape & Islands Plastic Surgery, I can only assume those reviews pertain to other providers within the practice!

He keeps me updated on the cataracts and I do not need surgery yet, although that time will come. He and his staff are always on top of my insurance, making sure referrals and medications are approved. I can ask any questions about my eyes and he and his staff are always honest and helpful. My mother also goes to OCB but sees a different doctor. She also needs cataract surgery, sooner rather than later, but they understand that she goes to Florida for the winter and have not pushed her to get the surgery done before she goes south. They agreed it is fine for her to wait until she comes back in the spring. I have NEVER had a problem with my doctor or the staff. Yes, sometimes they are incredibly busy, but when they are with me, it's about me and I have all their focus. I would and have recommended them.
