The administrative staff were warm, welcoming, and easy to communicate with, which made for a pleasant initial interaction. Unfortunately, my consultation with Dr. Loffredo did not meet professional expectations. During our brief interaction, approximately 10 minutes, he was dismissive and spoke over me throughout the conversation. Despite asking questions, he repeatedly interrupted my responses, which made it difficult to feel heard or respected as a patient. Additionally, the nurse present in the room demonstrated a similar lack of professionalism. As a nurse myself, I hold fellow healthcare professionals to a high standard, and I found the behavior of both Dr. Loffredo and his nurse to be discourteous and unprofessional. Following the appointment, Dr. Loffredo contacted me by phone and spoke in a manner I found abrupt and inappropriate. Given the nature of this experience, I would not return to this practice, regardless of cost. While I had heard positive things about Cape & Islands Plastic Surgery, I can only assume those reviews pertain to other providers within the practice!

A questionable spot was found on my mammogram and I had always considered having a breast reduction. I decided to just do it! I had breast reduction and lift surgery, with liposuction. Two words... NO DRAINS! I never knew until Dr. Costas told me, that I had what is called Breast Hypertrophy, just another example of the extent of knowledge and experience of Dr. Costas! I was scheduled when there was a cancellation, and had my surgery one week after my consultation! The staff shared their own, personal surgery stories with me and they have a way of putting you at ease! My primary doctor, NP and my specialists are familiar with Dr. Costas' work and speak in high regards of his talent. I work in the medical field, and I have highly recommended Dr. Costas to my patients and colleagues. I am so glad I had the surgery, and wish I had done it sooner! I developed keloid scars under both breasts. Still, he did not inform me what I had or how to help myself. He repeatedly advised massaging the area with vitamin E. Keloid scarring is irritating and erythematous. The scars are raised and thick. I would not recommend this doctor. He does not take the time to evaluate each patient properly, and his communication skills are inadequate. I waited to write this to see if my scars would heal over time, and they have not. Working with him was the worst decision I have made in the field of plastic surgery. There is more, as he did three procedures, but I will not go on. I wasted my money and am permanently scarred. The lack of communication left me feeling empty, uncared for, and cheated. Please! Find someone who listens, asks about your health condition and previous procedures, gives you the facts, and treats you like an individual with unique concerns. 12/31/25. She had 4 pamphlets out: Fraxel $2,200, Thermage $2,500-3,000, restylne $1,700 and juvederm $750. I just came in for some juvederm. Are you effing kidding me? I walked out feeling like a decrepit old hag. I have never had anyone try to up sell me like that, ever. Not only is she almost double the price I got elsewhere for the thermage and fraxel, 30% more for the injectibles, which she looks like she has been administering to herself, with poor results. I was actually startled when she walked into the room. She is her own worst advertisement. I seriously believe her ability to know what is aesthetically pleasing has been compromised. Maybe something went wrong or she had a reaction but it is enough to make me run far, far away. So bottom line. She was great, heck she might still be great but the upsell and the overindulgence of fillers on her own face was just not something I could reconcile with putting my face in her hands. 10x the amount of $$ that what I wanted to go in for....

That's not the result you expect at that price point. Pretty sure they were injecting it into their own faces. Punctuality is also an issue. Expect to wait at least 10 minutes, sometimes much longe- up to an hour... For my most recent visit, I confirmed my appointment two days in advance and was told there was no one scheduled before me, yet I still waited 45 minutes past my appointment time. There are plenty of places offering better results, better transparency, and better respect for your time for far less money. I wouldn't return.

Also there is no feeling or sensation on top of head and they didn't explain that. It was over 4 weeks you walk around looking like a beast. To change your looks forever. Not worth it. I have a permanent white patch on my face for life.
