I had filled in on another appointment in past in 70 year I had very seldom ever missed an appointment .75.00 late fee to charge a senior. On fixed income a little high ! What a racket !

I was very disappointed by this dermatologist. I was staying on Cape Cod for a couple months and…read morehad some dark spots on my face that I was concerned about. This doctor took very little time examining me and said that he didn't know what the spots were, but that they weren't anything to worry about. Unsatisfied, I went to my dermatologist back home a couple months later who said the same spots were concerning, unusual, and pre-cancerous. He removed them. The initial price for a visit to Medical & Cosmetic Dermatology is over twice as much as that of other local dermatologists (for those who don't have insurance coverage) and the time and care I received was not at all reflective of the higher cost. While I was in the waiting room, an elderly woman was there for an appointment accompanied by her husband. While his wife was seeing the doctor, the husband explained to the receptionist that because his wife was a client there, maybe he too should switch to this dermatologist just to make life easier. The receptionist asked, "What's your insurance?" He said it was Medicare. "We aren't taking any more Medicare patients", she said. I know that many doctors find Medicare patients too much paperwork for too little reimbursement, but it was heartbreaking to see a very elderly man treated so brusquely. And to see a doctor at work who is clearly more interested in money than in the health of his patients.

Everyone makes you feel comfortable and at ease in what can be a very scary situation. Dr Kravitz has also updated her office with newest of equipment and has expanded her team, all while keeping it personalized to the importance of our health. My husband had to have a treatment done that had several steps to the procedure and Dr Kravtiz was very thorough and talks us through the whole process. I can't convey how comforting it was to feel that we were in the hands of the best of the best.

Unfortunately, follow-up visits with Jessica felt rushed, cold, and transactional. During one visit, I arrived 10 minutes late due to road construction and was reprimanded - it was a brief 15-minute follow-up appointment. That interaction left me tearful and angry--and was documented as such in my medical record, which felt deeply insensitive and stigmatizing. The clinic had the choice to either see me or not, but scolding a patient is not professional. Later, when my insurance changed, they simply canceled a long-standing appointment without contacting me first. I expected more empathy, respect, and communication from a healthcare provider. I am seeking care at another practice.
