I also needed a Dr. to sign a clearance form in order to begin driving. After this office wasted months of my life attempting to get appointments, calling almost daily.. I finally saw Dr. Pulicken. He was extremely rude and didn't listen to a single thing I had to say. Kept a strict appointment time and tried to prescribe the standard medication even though I wasn't having recurring seizures. Why would I take a medication for a problem that I'm not even having? Especially when the side effects are psychosis and suicidal thoughts. When I tried to ask for alternatives he mentioned I could take a 3 Day EEG test(which cost my insurance thousands of dollars). I did the test and then he told me I had no signs of epilepsy and did not need to start on a medication. At this point it had been 10 months since I had a seizure. He then filled out the paperwork to reinstate my license, but filled it out saying I was at risk for recurring events ...so they wouldn't give me my license back. I've been without a license for a year now.. and haven't even had any seizures. He toyed with my life, wasted so much of my time, and my insurances money. I couldn't reschedule appointments to talk with him and he tried to pawn me off to another neurologist after he could no longer make any money from seeing me. If you are looking for help here you will find none. You will find money hungry doctors that will not respond to you and will treat you like complete dirt and walk all over you. If you have the choice to go to this office.. do not make that mistake. Although I doubt you can get an appointment because they don't call back.

At Neurologists of Cape Cod you will find one of the best and most understanding neurologists: Dr…read more Ahmad Abokhamis. Caring and gentle, he listens, a rare commodity these days of five minute visits with a hastily written prescription being the norm. His diagnostic skills have lessened my neurological difficulties, which in turn has enhanced the quality of my life. My only criticism of Dr Abokhamis is he speaks very quickly, and often I need to tell him to slow down. For those from the vinyl age, he is a 78 and I am a 33 1/3. His assistant Alessandra, whom one sees first, is gentle, understanding and takes excellent notes. She has a very reassuring way, and has helped me through a very difficult neurological crisis. The office staff at the front are efficient in checking in and out. The office runs pretty much on time and here my only complaint would be having that infernal television noise. It was explained to me that it creates "white noise", thus giving those checking in and out an "additional layer of privacy". Something is either private or not and in this world, the only thing that is private is the thought inside your brain and which you have not uttered. Unfortunately the ubiquitous television is in all medical offices so I will wait in my car until the medical staff are ready for me.

After trying a different neurologist (who was touted as a great diagnostician, but who deserves to work only on corpses in a morgue), Simovic was not only a breath of fresh air, but seemed more competent as well. He has a wonderful "bedside" manner, making my wife comfortable for a series of not-so-comfortable tests. He kept her laughing and unstressed. We can't say enough how much we like Dr. Simovic. We recommend him without hesitation or reservation. His business is called EMG Laboratory.

I went to Dr. Simovic. I have severe nerve damage that I incurred in a car accident 25 years ago…read more I have developed Fibromyalgia. Recently, was diagnosed with 2 herniated discs in my upper back.Pinching my nerves down my arms and giving me sciatica in my legs. I live in pain everyday. When I went to Dr. Simovic, he did not listen to one word I said. Gave me the tests and said I was totally fine. Then proceeded to tell me I had a very low tolerance of pain. (I've had 9 major surgeries). I don't think he gets what pain is. If your going to him for some minor problem, he's your doctor. But, for a real chronic problem, he just plain doesn't give a crap as long as he gets paid. I have experienced my share of ignorant doctors, but, he rates right up there. Especially, when he said I had no nerve problems. I was diagnosed by one of the top doctors in Mass General in the Neurology dept. after my car accident , In which he stated "you came as close as you can get without being paralized. As I still suffer in major pain everyday. But, I guess he knows it all. Yes, I'm angry. I didn't find out about my herniated disc until another doctor sent me for an MRI about 6 months after I saw him. I already live in enough pain, but , because of his "diagnosis", I had to beg for my primary care to get more help. So, I lived about 6 months ,plus, a previous year with sciatica and my arms being pinched as my nerves in my back were being crushed by my spine. What a great medical community we have.

The night crew feels like(Mostly) folks who don't want you to be there, younger/maybe newer in their field and someone is playing video games because it's quiet, and one night there was me and 1 other old man their. ALL the rooms were empty from what I could see, but I think they had one other patient. NO one was in the waiting room. And the desk dude was complaining that the old man was here at 3am. And then said "Well I GUESS your heart rate is a little high." I was polite and courteous as i went in and in the central area like right in front of me I heard them say something about why they need to keep people over 80 alive. I was like wtf did I just hear??? I was like maybe they had a bad day but saying that out loud is crazy. No one with that attitude should be working in the ER, I'm sorry. But the MORNING people are not like that. Unfortunately, a lot of times I've had severe emergencies in the middle of the night, I have a lot of different medical conditions. And I know, the ER is for 'if your dying' but it's also for 'to make sure you aren't dying' because sometimes not going you can die if you don't get it checked.

Very unpleasant staff especially aone name Angela. The Xray tech Maggie was nice though.read more

I was trying to get things in place to be seen which my treating Dr urged to have the EMG testing done. Not only was this office worker Kathy rude to me, she hung up on me and refused to answer the phone to resolve the issue and have me seen, so long story short, she gives this business EMG laboratory in Hyannis a bad name and I am very disappointed because the Dr. sounds like he has very good credentials, yet when someone is as unprofessional as this woman Kathy, it gives his business a bad name. I wonder how many other people Kathy has either hung up on or been rude to?
