At Neurologists of Cape Cod you will find one of the best and most understanding neurologists: Dr. Ahmad Abokhamis. Caring and gentle, he listens, a rare commodity these days of five minute visits with a hastily written prescription being the norm.
His diagnostic skills have lessened my neurological difficulties, which in turn has enhanced the quality of my life.
My only criticism of Dr Abokhamis is he speaks very quickly, and often I need to tell him to slow down. For those from the vinyl age, he is a 78 and I am a 33 1/3.
His assistant Alessandra, whom one sees first, is gentle, understanding and takes excellent notes. She has a very reassuring way, and has helped me through a very difficult neurological crisis.
The office staff at the front are efficient in checking in and out. The office runs pretty much on time and here my only complaint would be having that infernal television noise. It was explained to me that it creates "white noise", thus giving those checking in and out an "additional layer of privacy". Something is either private or not and in this world, the only thing that is private is the thought inside your brain and which you have not uttered.
Unfortunately the ubiquitous television is in all medical offices so I will wait in my car until the medical staff are ready for me. read more
