I had a massage here the other day and I thought that it was great how quickly I was able to get an appointment, how accommodating they were of the desired length of my massage, and the prices are very affordable, actually competitive with prices in the city where I live. The masseuse was great at massaging out a knot and tender area, and that was great. I do feel that the pressure was too firm for me because other areas of my body were a bit sore for a few days. I did enjoy the massage, it was fun and enjoyable. At times, I felt a bit uncomfortable by the deep pressure and lack of communication as to the areas being touched. It was a rainy day on our vacation and, rather than visit the Basket Museum, my MIL and I thought we'd try a massage. Not even knowing if we'd be able to get in anywhere the day of, we first checked around for pricing. The pricing here is super reasonable and the few reviews it has on Yelp are positive, so I called but didn't get my hopes up for availability. The girl who answered the phone was very nice and told us we could come in. My MIL got the hot stone and I got the "personalized massage." My MIL had Jesse and RAVED about her. I'll preface with: The massages were AMAZING. But the service was TERRIBLE. We showed up 20 mins early to our appointment and were perfectly content waiting. The two girls started making annoyed remarks and talking crap about us in Spanish... slight hiccup... my fiancé SPEAKS SPANISH lol. So glad we found this hidden gem! It was a last minute idea to make massage appointments. The other full-service spas were booked...and over priced. I found Life Massage on Google. The service is 5 stars, but for me the decor a 3, so I averaged them together to come in at a 4. This small building doesn't look like much on the outside and the hand-painted walls and ceilings with scenes of birds flying and puffy clouds just aren't my idea of relaxing "zen-like" spa decor. My daughter and I both loved our hour-long massages. There are 6 therapists, all female. The team is warm and friendly and very professional. I thought their pricing was great $90 for an hour personal massage. My therapist was Claribel. I believe she is one of the owners. She and her team have been practicing in the Dominican Republic and the US for over 15 years. Their services included 6-7 different types of massages including a mother-to-be, sports and aromatherapy. Pricing ranges from $85-$100 for an hour and $120-$140 for 90 minutes. They also have got stone treatments and waxing services. So take some time for yourself and give them a try! read more

One of the best massages I've ever had. Intense but great. The therapists work hard to give you a deep tissue massage. I was impressed. The pressure was almost too much but the reward was fantastic. I felt great afterwards. And the interior is whimsical; very beachy. I would just recommend upgrading the beds a little bit. They were not uncomfortable but a fuller head rest and heated mattresses would go a long way. Also, need tables or dressers to put your stuff on. Otherwise, really great. I'll go again. Pleasantly Surprised. Booked a last minute massage on the morning of my husband's birthday (Life Saver!). Was so thankful they were able to accommodate a couple's massage on such short notice as my other special plans had fallen through. Everything in Nantucket is small and understated (no grand buildings, old architecture, etc) but it was in a nice neighborhood and we felt comfortable. The business must be a converted small house. It's set back on the street but it felt safe and comfortable. Our massage therapists were Yisenia and Carmen and they were AMAZING. I had low expectations but it's better than any massage I have had in expensive hotels, spas, etc. They were very skilled and thorough and not the "same ole." They were very affordable as well which is saying a lot since everything in Nantucket comes at a premium! I wish I had time to go back. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a little escape. It's not a palace...very small in fact...just a few rooms all together but very comfortable and clean. I would much rather come here than to a pretentious hotel or spa when it's all fluff and cucumber water but with a massage that is nothing special. read more
