I contacted several caterers for a small gathering, but one thing let me know this catering company was THE ONE: When I called to get a quote, the owner - on his own accord - physically visited the site to get the lay of the land before I even signed the contract. He stayed in contact with me throughout the ENTIRE process and handled every curve ball with a smile. To boot, the services were reasonably priced. We began with the goal of having a clam bake. Then, I considered the fact some people might be allergic to shell fish. Little Rock allowed me to have a hybrid menu to appease all my guests. They came from far and wide, from Memphis to India to China to Chicago and New York. I knew I had a tough crowd that has eaten at some of the best restaurants across the globe. Our experience with Little Rock was absolutely PERFECT, from my first phone call to the last morsel I put in my mouth. The first course was clam chowder. Really?! The clam chowder was out of this wooooorld!!! Every single guest I spoke with commented on its deliciousness. My guests said the clam bake was also absolutely perfectly delicious and that they were stuffed after the meal because the plate was so full of food. We also got a beef tenderloin option, which melted in your mouth. The BBQ chicken option was stupendous. Peter and his wife brought a family feel to my reception, but their delivery was beyond professional. When I called Peter after the event, he said he enjoyed our work together, met wonderful people throughout the day and that he wished the hubby and me a lifetime of bliss. What an incredibly personal touch. I am dripping with accolades for this amazing company that made my day beyond special. I couldn't have pulled this off without Little Rock. Glowing review!!!!!! Take a bow, Little Rock. Take a bow.

After gaining access to the solids tank, we again used the CCTV and confirmed that the flow was coming from "25 Beach Road" and was consistent with a sump pump. After Searching for approximately three hours of searching, turning on and off breakers try to stop the pump. TM felt that the floor was different under a rug he was standing on and pulled it to the side which revealed a hatch cut in the floor and once removed, confirmed our suspicions.

There is a lot of produce here that doesn't exist anywhere else on the island. But the markup on their products makes the bulk of what they sell inaccessible to the average person. It's beyond the classic healthfood store pricing, we're talking $20 for a jar of almond butter when Vineyard Grocer (under five minutes away) sells the same thing for much less. I mean, it seems counterintuitive to be focused on eco-friendliness and then to price out the majority so only some can afford it, right? Like, if you want people buying non-organic/fair trade/etc, why make it so most of them can't do it at your store? The counter argument I usually hear is that you get a discount via the Island Club Card, but that's going away soon and it's like $90. So it's still a problem. Sometimes you'll need to go here to buy something you want and in all honesty if you're visiting the island it's worth checking out. But always look at the price tag before you buy anything, you never know when something that should be $7 is $30.

The store isn't even that well stocked or clean. I literally saw a pint of cherry tomatoes for $10. The yogurt I buy is $1.25 at Wegman's and $2.49 at Cronig's. Soda that's often 4 two liters for $5 in Boston is $3.99 each. I walked out with some drinks and snacks for the beach and it was $100. Checkout people are nice. It's sad because I would love to support local businesses and I'm not a Stop and Shop fan but it's better than this.

The folks in the kitchen looked like they were hustling, but we saw several customers complaining about how long it was taking their food to come in. Something is not good with the work flow, and while the guy running around was super nice and professional, the girl who took our order was downright rude. Even though we ordered for dining in, our food still came out in a to-go bag. Why? So annoying. The kale chicken caesar was deconstructed, so you have to mix it all up yourself with limited space and utensils. The whole point of eating at the restaurant is so they can do it for you! We do love the harissa cauliflower sandwich that we always order, but every time that we've had it, it's always undersalted. Our daughter's tomato soup was good (if you like a verrrry heavy cream base) but parts of it had slopped over the side from being in the bag and the paper started disintegrating. Unprofessional. We tried a couple of their baked goods for the first time and they were OK. The chocolate chip cookie struck a nice balance between crispy and chewy, but we weren't fans of the pumpkin blondie. We're on the fence of whether we'd come back in person again since this was a pretty disastrous experience in the off-season. We can't even imagine during summertime! Three stars. Do better.
