I am recovering from surgery and my daughter bought Italian Wedding Soup for me from Rocco's. It was delicious!! I called them a few days later to order more. I told the young woman who answered the phone that I was recovering from surgery. She very kindly offered to bring the soup to the car for me so I didn't have to walk in myself. What a pleasant surprise! The entire crew at Rocco's is always great...and this gesture was more proof that they care about their customers. Thank you Rocco's!!! read more

Pizza was ready for pick-up at the designated time I've ordered Rocco's Pizza for many years. Last nights order 1/2 pepperoni , 1/2 mushroom & peppers was SALTY beyond belief. It made the pizza uneatable.. Disappointed is an understatement. I have no idea why so much salt was used in the preparation.. it ruined the pizza and required us to trash the pie...each half was SALTY... Is Rocco still an owner? The two male preparers were not Rocco. A refund is required before I ever consider another pizza. I'll have to order from Anthony's in Oak Bluffs. I've always preferred Rocco's however, last night's culinary performance was a major letdown.. J Nash (ordered at 6:25 pm and pick up time 25 minutes later).. You have my phone number... call me and let me know when I can get the refund I've requested.. This is our favorite "by the slice" pizzeria on Martha's Vineyard. The crust is SO good! We usually go on our way to or from the pos office, and it makes that chore a little more fun. I usually get a slice of cheese, and my husband gets the pepperoni but there are always 2 special slices a day. Fun combos like feta, banana peppers & sausage, or ground beef, roasted red peppers and garlic. One day they had a Big Mac slice, and it tasted exactly like a Big Mac! They also have good meatballs and onion rings. I keep wanting to try other things on the menu but the pizza is too good. The service is friendly and quick. read more

You apologize and offer maybe something different. That's just a good customer service tip was disappointed when the host didn't even care i still wanted something else so I ordered again and of course she charged me instead of saying I'm sorry for your inconvenience this is one of us. Very disappointed in my $32 plus $3 Tip pizza. Absolutely no flavor from the four extra toppings of chicken, peppers, onion and burnt mushrooms. The cheese didn't look or taste like mozzarella cheese. Something was definitely missing. Frozen supermarket pizza is much better at a third of the cost. Will never go back there again. read more

We visited Martha's Vineyard during the winter and Rocco's Pizzeria was one of a few pizza (and shops in general) that were open. Their slices are huge and only $3.75, so my friend and I opted for our own slice instead of a whole pizza. That was a good call since I couldn't even finish my piece. I prefer a saucey pizza with less cheese and this hit the spot. I was really, really impressed with this place!!! One thing lacking was their service. The lady at the counter was a bit rude. She clearly didn't want to be there and was not helpful and had a slight attitude when we had questions regarding the menu. They do have a separate seating area inside and their own (shared) parking lot. read more

I stopped by here this past Friday with my wife for a pre marathon dinner. We arrived to Rocco's Pizza at right around 6 PM and the place was absolutely hopping. The front area here has a place where you can order along with a display case that was full of food like cannolis and then a cooler which had soda and different drinks in it. There was also a back room that you sit in if you are dining in as we were. It had 5 tables (1 6 top, 2 tops and 2 4 tops and a small bar (beer drafts only)) with no seating that wasn't being manned and a TV above it which was off. The decor consisted of some paintings and pictures of Venice along with an area behind the bar having some Pats, Celtics and Red Sox photos. For dinner on this evening my wife and I decided to split a cheese pizza and I also decided to order my wife a cannoli since those are one of her favorite desserts. After placing our order we headed to the back room where we waited for 15 minutes until our food was delivered. Like all pizzas, the pizza at Rocco's can be broken down into its three major components: cheese, sauce and crust. First let's talk about the cheese here which was melted nicely and had a really good flavor to it. Up next is the sauce which was definitely present and helped with the cheese but I feel like didn't add much to the pizza. Last but certainly not least was the crust which was my favorite part of this pizza. It was thin and super crispy which made for a great texture and it tasted good too! My wife also really enjoyed her cannoli here and noted that the filling did not have chocolate chips. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I enjoyed the pizza we had here so why not? read more

Its a decent pie. I think it's a generic vineyard pie. Most of the pizzarias don't curate their pies. They all seem to use the same purveyors for their meats, cheese and other toppings. That said I have never gotten a bad pie. It would be great if Rocco's crust used a preferment of some kind. Maybe one other spot on the vineyard does. read more

We decided to try this place while vacation after looking at reviews on Yelp. The restaurant had a very small eating area inside and outside on the porch. Staff was super friendly and attentive. The pizza was very good. We an ordered one pizza 1/2 meat lovers and 1/2 mushroom and pepperoni and the 2nd pizza 1/2 meatballs and 1/2 margarita. Both were cooked perfectly and loaded with toppings. Horrible! Stay away. I ordered a sub and took 2 bits and had to throw it away because it was entirely soggy and the meat smelled rotten. I ordered it 5 minutes before eating it. Inside the restaurant was a dump and no lights on, and the canned sodas were warm. Do yourself a favor and drive a little further to a different sub shop. read more

Great pizza, good sandwiches. But Rocco's - maybe tell your customers that your mayo us actually Miracle Whip. Some people have some strong opinions about that sweet, unnatural stuff. Growing up near NYC, we have high expectations when ordering pizza. Little did we expect this island place to create such flavorable pies, NYC style thin crust, of course. Great pizza, pepperoni on one, sausage on the other. The sauce was very rich, crust well done but not burned, very tasty sausage, etc., but suffice it to simply say this pizza stands up to any comparison to its NYC brethren. What's great about this place? Open year round. Plenty of parking. (Unless it is August.) Lots of places to sit. Really decent pizza. (Note that I am not a pizza connoisseur these days unless I get it without cheese, but spend time with many people who are. Pizza professionals of the highest order- teenagers.) Special requests do not phase them. Short walk from 5 Corners, VH. On the bus line. What's not so great about this place? You could be anywhere in any little small town pizza joint. They do not sell beer or wine. (Maybe some day.) Cash only for smaller orders. It never quite feels clean. They close before we get the munchies. No atmosphere whatsoever. They do not deliver. You come to MV for the seafood, not for the pizza. But sometimes all you need is a greasy slice with the kids. Come to Rocco's. You may regret not going for the lobster roll at the Net Result nearby but they are open year round, too, so you can always return. read more

Handsome Chris baking pizzas! His pizzas are almost as good as Pomodoro's. And, it seems like all kinds of people like it here and come to pick up their pizza. Conveniently located behind the Net Result, it is a good place to have your own cheesy moment. The downside is that they do not take a credit card and you should go somewhere else to have cash and there is no ATM nearby. And, tonight, I learn that it closes before 9:30pm. read more

The service here was totally lame! I feel sorry because it looks like a nice place at first approach. Be warned there is a ridiculous $15.00 credit card purchase and there is no ATM machine. No changes to the menu whatsoever to accommodate patrons. Oh also they have this lame-o tag line on their t-shirs that says "Attitude is everything". read more
