    Strawberry rhubarb pie.
    Monica A.

Great place for a gluten free pie. I had the rhubarb! I think it was vegan too which is a great extra! I like that you can buy it by the slice. Although my friends and I got the whole pie and argued over who got the last slice (me!)

    Gluten free crust. Raspberry/Apple

Friendly service, great selection, delicious pies. We picked up the key lime and blueberry pies - both were good. Life is short, eat the pie

Since my friends and I expected more offerings, we only had drinks, oysters, and salads. It wasn't too busy when we visited so the service was fine. I would recommend visiting if you're looking for a great view and patio. However, be sure to check the menu first!

3.5 stars over all - go for the view and ambiance. Don't expect exceptional food or service. To be…read morefair the service staff was extremely nice but just inattentive. Our waitress forgot to tell us the special. We overheard another waiter explaining the specials and my husband was quite upset because he would have ordered it. The actual food was not bad just not exceptional (it's kind of expensive but that's expected for the area and the location on the water). Once we got there I realized there is a lot on the menu you can't eat if you can't eat raw/undercooked fish. We got a few second courses to share - the goat cheese and carrots, lobster burrata, and beet gnocchi. Overall they were all good - felt clean and fresh. We got the halibut to share as well and the mushroom and garlic something side (recommended by our waitress). The sides were really good! Halibut was okay. Our water was not refilled until we asked. The first course dishes were not cleared until the next course came. Felt a little forgotten. But anyway can't regret the dinner cause the view was phenomenal.

My friend and I decided to try out Black Dog Bakery and Cafe as big fans of the clothing brand and of coffee. We are both Celiac so we didn't get any food, but our coffees were really good and well made. I believe it helped that we went so early in the day too, literally right at opening. If you're looking for a cute beachy cafe on the cape, this is a great choice.

We love the relaxed atmosphere and delicious food, and our children have always enjoyed dining at the outdoor tables on a lovely, warm summer morning. Since their renovation, we have noticed a few changes! It was really exciting to see how the café has been able to expand, and I'm sure it will be able to cater to additional clients with the addition of a larger bar set up with plentiful stools, while not sacrificing indoor seating. Although the pastry case looked smaller, the ordering setup for food and coffee was pretty nicely designed. The food items we ordered were delicious, from the avocado toast to lox on a bagel, and the coffee was fine. Our frustration came with a lack of respectful service. As a group of three black women with one teenage girl, we were met with lackluster service at the counter from the second we walked up to place our order. Although there were other larger groups ahead of us, our order somehow frustrated the cashier, and after us. When we had straightforward items to order, upon asking if everything was okay, she shared that we had caught her off guard by ordering for four people all at once. I can't imagine this isn't the norm with the number of families and groups that come into the establishment regularly. Still, we were 'disrupting her,' and it seemed to be an inconvenience to the point that some items from our order were never brought out, and a few mistakes were made on the order. Furthermore, upon her bringing some of the dishes to the table, we did not appreciate her demeanor; it was just shy of flinging the plates onto the table at us. It was an inferior example of the service environment we are used to at this location. The negativity from this interaction has tarnished this experience for us, and I can't say I will return. The cashier/server's demeanor was rough, abrasive, and straight-up rude. I hope they can find opportunities to improve because the food is usually spot on.
