So this review comes after our 3rd time checking out Waterside Market! Every meal we had was A1. It does tend to get pretty crowded in the morning, but the service is still pretty quick. We really enjoyed their BLT and Breakfast Burrito. Their Italian sandwich is also very goood. read more

Nice breakfast and lunch spot. That gets pretty busy. There is a nice selection of cookies, cakes and other baked goods available while you wait in line to place your order. There are a few seats insides and more outside. There are stairs to enter the location which may be a concern for those with limited mobility. (I did not see a ramp.) I had the breakfast sandwich on a ciabatta roll. It was okay. The bacon was pretty crispy but was sort of rolled up into small pieces which made it a bit difficult when biting in the sandwich. I also tried their truffle fries which were really good. I would recommend this restaurant and plan to try them again. read more

I waited 25 minutes for a cold breakfast sandwich that was over priced and a tiny little portion. Plus I asked for avocado and it wasn't put on the sandwich. Awful. Then on my google review the owner replied to me SO rudely that this is a "fake" review. Why would I purposefully make a bad review of a restaurant? I actually made this review while sitting at a table on their porch. He claims they don't wrap their sandwiches in foil but mine was a gluten allergy so I'm guessing that's why...otherwise the owner is lying in order to get bad reviews taken down. I have added my receipt as additional proof in case the sketchy owner tries to get these ones taken down as well. We've gotten takeout from Waterside in the past, but this was our first time dining in, and wow, what a poorly run institution. The folks in the kitchen looked like they were hustling, but we saw several customers complaining about how long it was taking their food to come in. Something is not good with the work flow, and while the guy running around was super nice and professional, the girl who took our order was downright rude. Even though we ordered for dining in, our food still came out in a to-go bag. Why? So annoying. The kale chicken caesar was deconstructed, so you have to mix it all up yourself with limited space and utensils. The whole point of eating at the restaurant is so they can do it for you! We do love the harissa cauliflower sandwich that we always order, but every time that we've had it, it's always undersalted. Our daughter's tomato soup was good (if you like a verrrry heavy cream base) but parts of it had slopped over the side from being in the bag and the paper started disintegrating. Unprofessional. We tried a couple of their baked goods for the first time and they were OK. The chocolate chip cookie struck a nice balance between crispy and chewy, but we weren't fans of the pumpkin blondie. We're on the fence of whether we'd come back in person again since this was a pretty disastrous experience in the off-season. We can't even imagine during summertime! Three stars. Omg LOVE LOVE LOVED this place. We stopped in for lunch. We had limited time to catch the Alpacas before closing time and I loved that we were able to order ahead and save time. I also love the variety of vegetarian options offered but this did make decision making more difficult. I HAD to go with the Lucy Vincent with harissa roasted cauliflower, vegan garlic aioli, spinach, pickled red onions and smashed garbanzo beans. I requested they omit and onions and was very grateful that they complied. This was honestly one of the best sandwiches I have had in recent memory. It was such a treat to have something unique rather than a standard/classic sandwich. The cauliflower and smashed garbanzo beans provided an incredible texture and the flavors were out of this world. The contrast of the sandwich contents with crispy ciabatta was the icing on the cake. I am still blown away by how spectacular this sandwich was. GF ordered a lobster roll with a side of their hand-cut french fries. She enjoyed her roll BUT I have to comment on the sheer quantity of fries that was included in the order. It was absurd. Had the hot chocolate and we ordered the egg Benedict w avocado , egg benefit w lobster, breakfast burrito and Tex max breakfast. The eggs Benedict's cake with breakfast potatoes which was very good. YES! Yum. It may be pricey but it is worth it!!! My husband and I both got the C.A.B sandwich and even though I just ate it, I want another! It was so so good. I want to try and make it at home. Well worth it. We also got the ranch fries but they were really overcooked so to me, $9 for them wasn't worth it but you do get a HUGE bag of them. I mean HUGE bag. It could be split between a family of 4-5. The sandwiches are where it's at though. If you like smoothies, the ones they offer in the fridge are to die for. So so fresh. The coffee here is super; a nice dark roast was on tap. The breakfast I ordered wasn't quite up to par. I ordered the eggs florentine and the only hot thing in my meal were the eggs. The potatoes, spinach, English muffin and hollaindaise were all cold. I'm not sure if the hollaindaise was homemade or not. I brought the meal back to the counter and the chef heated up the potatoes. That was all. So I ate the eggs, raw spinach and some of the potatoes. I returned the next morning just for coffee. read more

The Waterside Market is a great place to come for lunch in Vineyard Haven. I've been twice for takeout and both times I had pretty good experiences. The first time I came here I got the John Alden Sandwich and a clam chowder. Clam chowder was very tasty! The John Alden Sandwich is basically a Thanksgiving meal on a sandwich. It was very tasty, although was a little light on the turkey and too heavy on the stuffing. Very yummy though. The second time I came here I got the Turkey Sandwich, which was delicious as well.
