Here is the review: "Tour was just okay. We didn't stop at things people clearly wanted to stop at and there was a lot that no one cared about. The driver (my wife said his name was Richard) was anxious to get through the tour because there was so much to see in 3 hours... I'm like, okay then let's stop at the stuff people want to take pics of and blow off the rest of this crap. He also zoomed by and barely slowed down long enough to take a photo of something other than the back of the hand of the person sitting in front of you... the hand that was still there because they didn't have time to take a pic either. The driver also talked about Obama and Clinton the ENTIRE tour. I lost count at 8 stories. (This is not an exaggeration.) I planned it because of how much she enjoyed Elin's books, andI have never read a book but Heather made the tour absolutely wonderful with all the facts and stories about the books and the island. In addition it was just fabulous seeing so much of the island in such a relatively short time. Additionally, DelRose was an amazing driver on the tight streets and navigating the bus like a small car, and she as well added stories which was so informative. I loved the Chicken Box stop because I wanted to go there, without knowing about the books and it didn't disappoint at all!! It truly highlighted the beauty of Nantucket. We met another couple celebrating their 25th anniversary and it was just so neat to see how much it meant to Elin's fans. Heather made this tour very personal and you could truly feel her and Elin's passion about Nantucket. I would highly recommend this tour, you will not e disappointed!!!! We are then walked to the bus, 5 minutes later than are scheduled start time (although we did go about 20 minutes past are scheduled end time, which almost made someone be late for the ferry). Delaraose was out tour guide. And don't get me wrong, she's nice and full of energy, Ibut just didn't like her style. It was along the lines of "There are 3 cemeteries in Nantucket and 1 Elementary school...." and then a couple minutes asking questions about what she just said and expecting everyone to shout back the answer, over and over. It just got annoying after a couple times. The rest of the group seemed into it though. So mileage may vary. This little museum opens during the tourist season, early to mid-June. If you are on island in early June, I'd ask the staff at the Whaling Museum if the Old Gaol (pronounced, "Old Jail") is in fact staffed and open. The museum is about a fifteen to twenty minute walk from Town. Enjoy the beautiful house, homes, and gardens that align the streets of Town as you walk your way. Worth going to, and you will see some eye opening displays of how criminals were treated back in the day. Easy walk, and enjoyable.

I kept missing it, as it was a crowded Friday afternoon, but then later realized that it is exactly where it needs to be: fronting the entrance to the dock where the ferry leaves. We were able to change our departure (to go back to Hyannis) from 8:40 pm to an earlier 6:10 pm on Friday, and there was no charge since we did it before the original time elapsed...we just needed to show them our original invoice. Unlike the other Hy-line offices, there is no indoor seating, but plenty to pass the time since right in the middle of a busy tourist area. By taking the earlier return, it was a different crowd...more older and a lot less crowded. We got back to Hyannis in under an hour, and offloaded pretty easily. There were shuttles waiting in the nearby road (to avoid the heavy congestion in the pickup area), and we got the last two seats. We got dropped off at Lot 8 offsite in 10 minutes, and were on our way. Probably wouldn't recommend trying to see both islands on the same day, but it can be done via Hy-Line.
