Guy boasts 44 years of…read moreexperience, doesn't think to call me with an estimate or warning so I could decline the work. Went to pick up the bike, he tells me it's the "trickiest" flat repair he's ever done and he's going to "hit me hard"--writes down $89.00 for labor--$115 all in to fix a flat. Labor is $10.37 for the same thing at the local bike shop--I watched a kid in his 20's do it in under 10 minutes. Avoid this guy.

First read ALL the negative reviews here. John, the owner, is one of the most unpleasant people…read moreI've ever met. I had just had a fender bender in the Stop & Shop parking lot and was shaken up. I told him this and that I just wanted to drop off the bike for two new tires and tubes but he proceeded to lecture me for 20 minutes before he ever started filling out the intake slip. I told him I had run a bike shop of my own selling electric bikes in order to slow down his constant posturing and bragging about his skills, but it set him off. "Electric Bikes aren't bikes! They're glorified scooters and I won't touch them!" He proceeded to insult my intelligence, shamed me for not coming in February, when tuneups were discounted (although I told him I'd just gotten the bike the day before), tried (HARD) to sell me 5 or 6 unneeded items and insisted that I also get a "tune for safety" service. When I asked the price for that he said, I don't know till I get into it. When I asked him to call me with an estimate he said, "I don't do that." I really wanted my new tires, but mostly to get home and deal with my car accident. Every time I opened my mouth he was off on a negative rant, so I just shut up and waited for him to run out of steam. Fortunately another customer came in and I was able to escape. Once home, I read the reviews and all the people with similar experience whose bikes had been held hostage for hundreds of dollars. So I brought my big, pumped, hunk of a husband back to the store and we got the bike back (John hadn't started the work yet). We discovered that he hadn't even written "new tires and tubes" on the slip! He would have delivered the bike without the things I wanted done but with a tune up I hadn't requested. I dodged a bullet. So should you. Many other good shops on the island without being insulted, shamed, and manipulated. If you don't live on MV, ask an islander. He has a bad rep.

TLDR: Don't pay upfront if you book this company!…read more I had booked the All Star Tour company for a private bachelorette tour on May 17, 2025. Not only were we left stranded at the ferry stop for hours due to a "van issue," but the backup tour companies that were allegedly sent over never showed. My group of 9 girls was left to fend for ourselves - we ended up finding a very nice taxi driver with a van to take up around instead. I had paid the full price of $450 upfront on Venmo, and afterwards the owner Jeffrey C. refused to issue a refund, even after weeks of texting. I would absolutely not recommend this company.

There's a shark on Martha's Vineyard and his name isn't Bruce, it's Jeffrey at All Star Tours! I…read morehad a tour booked (and paid in full) for June 12th, he backed out last minute due to an accident. Of course I was understanding, car accidents happen. BUT the backup company he promised to send didn't show and we were left stranded at the ferry dock and had to pay for a second tour. Now he won't refund my money and has stopped responding. Martha's Vineyard was beautiful and the people were great but DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY. I have found others who have been ripped off this month alone. I would give zero stars if that was an option. I want my money back, money that I saved a year for to celebrate my mom's 81st birthday. Im hoping honest reviews, a police report, a letter to the Chamber of Commerce, BBB and the MA Attorney General will do the trick.
