    Watermelon crush and a Transfusion
    Michele C.

Beautiful hotel on an incredible tip of Martha's Vineyard.... Edgartown. Shout out to Vuk, the bartender in the Clubhouse bar, for the tastiest drinks: watermelon crush and a transfusion; which we sipped while rocking on the front porch staring out at the Edgartown Lighthouse. Thank you for the good conversation as well.

    Amazing view from the room.

Amazing hotel, and fabulous staff. Had a weekend getaway with the family at this beautiful historic hotel and absolutely loved it. The food at the restaurant downstairs was delicious, the staff at the front desk, valet, and turn down service were excellent. Our waitress at the restaurant knew when to hang back and went to approach the table and was so pleasant. The views from both rooms were absolutely amazing! Looking forward to going back in the future!

If I could give it more stars I would. This is a Resort that stands alone. B4 my wife and I could open the front doors, there were 2 staff members each opening the doors as if we were royalty and thanking us for coming out in such terrible weather to stay here at this resort. I knew then and there that this establishment and its staff take pride in where they work and their job. We were checked in with such professionalism,I must say some of these chain hotels on the mainland can take some pointers from these people. After checking in the woman who checked us in Hannah said I'll show you to your room in the Roxanna area (this room is not in the main building but adjacent to the swimming pool and outside dining area. Then as my wife and I were about to roll our small weekend rollaway suitcases the woman insisted on taking my wife's suitcase and when my wife said she had it she said " oh girl I got you, my wife laughed and they walked off like besties, mind you as the hubby I bought up the rear. When we arrived at our room it was immaculately cleaned not anything we could find to complain about. Later this evening we went to the dining area for dinner but they were booked up, but they were willing to seat us at the bar ,we declined due to the crowd. But it is a very elegant restaurant which we may try another evening. We went to check the weather outside and met Staff member Steve from friendly and after speaking with him found out we grew up in the same neighborhood in Manhattan small world. All this day 1 of a mini getaway. Oh they also knew we were celebrating our belated 42 wedding anniversary and had a bottle of chilled champagne waiting for us upon our arrival. NICE TOUCH & a very nice day 1

We had an absolutely excellent stay at the Harbor View. We're leaving New England in a few months and took my birthday as an opportunity to visit some spots that will be much less convenient to get to after our move. Cue Martha's Vineyard. As a white upper-middle class person I somehow managed to grow up in the northeast and NOT make it to MV. Until now. Yes, I am a chain hotel bitch. No, there are zero chain hotels on the island. We expanded our horizons to perusing vrbo and airbnb but nothing was really grabbing us. I found another place in Oak Bluffs that looked cool but didn't offer parking. This place offered parking and was conveniently located in Edgartown and so won our business for our four night trip. We came over on the latest ferry of the day and therefore, arrived to the hotel on the later end, around 11pm. We were promptly greeted by concierge who was friendly and welcoming. We were checked into our room quickly and provided with the down and dirty deets of the hotel during our stay. Parking is free and pretty close by. At nighttime, we did struggle to find a parking spot but were always able to. Our visit at the end of April was off peak but the hotel still seemed full. I can't imagine what parking is like during peak summer months. The room was on the smaller side but we did ultimately have adequate room to maneuver freely, mostly thanks to a small walk in closet which housed our open suitcases during our stay. The furnishings were beautiful and the climate control worked perfectly. The bed was very comfortable, the linens and towels soft, and the shower spacious with great water pressure and a faucet that was easy enough to figure out. The TV was large and I LOVE that they have a guide channel. I'm not sure if I should share this with the world but I've spent way too much time in hotels trying to figure out what the fuck was on TV. There are a few bad things that I have to mention. First, the sleeping temperature was peculiar. The fabric of the sheets are such that when you first get into them, they feel frigid. They provide a very thin blanket, no big fluffy duvet in which to warm up and subsequently overheat. I was legitimately so fucking cold I had to spoon the fuck out of GF to obtain some body heat. When I eventually HAD to turn over, I couldn't get warm and HAD to turn up the thermostat. After a few hours of sleeping, the sheets become warm and then you're ROASTING which requires a further adjustment of the thermostat. Additionally, the walls are very thin and it's easy to hear other guests in the hall. There was no issue in the middle of the night because I guess nobody was naughty but if you plan to sleep in, good luck. The shades don't do a great job of keeping a significant amount of light out in the morning. The service was spectacular. Everyone we interacted with was extraordinarily friendly and warm. Our room was pristine upon our arrival and cleaned to perfection daily. Location is PERFECT. Many restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance. Views from the hallway and some of the rooms are absolutely gorgeous of the water and Edgartown Harbor Lighthouse literally across the street. I would absolutely stay here again on another visit to MV!

A beautiful property on Martha's Vineyard worth checking out. This was my first visit & it was super special. The rooms are spacious, clean and newly renovated. Everyone was very friendly & accommodating to us. The sunset views were perfection. The hotel overall reminded me of the White Elephant in Nantucket. Walking distance to town for restaurants & bars. The perfect summer weekend getaway!

Edgartown excellence. Incredible grounds, amenities, service and stay. Mercedes Benz partner- you can request to be on the list to drive a complimentary car- great way to see the island and have excursions. Location is lovely, use complimentary bikes or walk 10min to Main Street. Restaurant is top tier, great for a night out or special occasion. Rooms are spacious and well kept. Real fireplace in suites. If you're wanting MV luxury, stay at Harbor View.

Pros: Quiet area Beautiful setting Elevator Good toiletries Fruit and water complimentary in the lobby Free parking (limited. First come first serve) Free WiFi ( worked 98% of the time) Beautiful porch with rocking chairs Heated pool Ice machine available Cons: Room old and weathered. Shower leaking Staff not friendly Pricy for what you're getting We had the opportunity to stay at another hotel on day one which was cheaper and overall better than this place and that is why I have given it a three star. I expected more. I think if the staff made us feel welcomed and cared about what was going on, it could have gotten a four. The hotel is a 10min walk from restaurants, stores and bars. We stayed in the main house. I can't vouch for the other rooms. First the good stuff: We were able to check in early. They did hold our bags while the room was being prepared for us. The lobby is beautiful and always has a fire in the fireplace going. They have water and fruits to snack on. The porch is perfect for afternoon tea or even to read a book. The area is pretty quiet, so can definitely have the peace you need. The rooms are big. The bed was comfortable. The room had a fridge and a keurig. The bathroom was clean and had great toiletries. There's an iron and an ironing board. The closet is spacious enough. The Parking is free. Even though it was limited, we never found a problem finding a space. The not so good: Our room was on the second floor facing the parking lot. What threw us off is the little things that could be done to make it look presentable. The plate around the sprinkler was dangling. Same with the one around the vent. The door trims were either stained or cracked. The paint was peeling. The shower leaked all day and night. We did inform the front desk and it still leaked when we returned. The toilet lever must be held down for a prolonged period of time in order to flush. Staff never acknowledged us. One day it was pouring and we came in wet. At any other hotel, you would expect someone to ask if you need a towel or something, this didn't happen here even though there were at least 5 staff members around. For over $500 (depending on what deal you get) a night to stay at this hotel, I expected better rooms and customer service. I would say to look around prior to booking this hotel.

Having never been to MV, I asked friends and did some research. The Harbor View came highly recommended, especially with the newly done updates. I booked a historic room with ocean view and linked up with concierge, Darlene. Darlene is amazing! From the minute I booked until we took the ferry back from the island, Darlene was there. She helped me arrange a surprise 40th birthday golf trip for my husband in which I had secretly taken lessons. She went above an beyond booking every detail. When we arrived she had arranged for a driving tour around the island that dropped us off at the hotel. Darlene was right there to welcome us when we arrived and wished my husband a happy birthday. The room was ready early, had a perfect view of the ocean (and sunrises), newly renovated and immaculate! Darlene arranged a dinner at the Terrace for us that was bar none the best dinner ever. She must have called before we arrived as they sat us early, drinks in hand and the chef was sending out a few special pre-dinner samplers. The next morning Darlene arranged 18h at Farm Neck Golf course along with a driver to get us there. We were early, they were already waiting for us and ready to go. We had an amazing time and ate lunch there. Back at the hotel we checked out the pool, so perfect! They had fresh pink/regular lemonade and ice water there; and, there were tons of towels and chairs. Absolutely breathtaking venue and the pool was perfectly cleaned! That night we grabbed an early dinner in which the hotel went up a little birthday treat before we headed out; and, then had drinks and dessert at the hotel out on the front porch. Darlene checked on us again as she had arranged another perfect tee time at the Minks Meadows 9H course, along with transportation. Again, the next morning was perfectly done with the ride being early, and Minks Meadows ready and waiting for us. Darlene/they had us back on the ferry and home with time to spare. The island is full of wonderful warm inviting people and phenomenal service. I wouldn't stay anywhere else and we plan on returning with our children. I would recommend calling and asking for Darlene ASAP as she makes the stay worth it, worry free with impeccable service and kindness.

Josie was simply a highly professional and accommodating person. She truly understands what it means to make people feel special and was able to handle a few of our requests with ease! We stayed in a top floor suite with two awesome deck areas overlooking water street. The room was clean and well appointed, bedding was overly comfortable . There are no elevators , so be prepared to get some great exercise if your lucky enough that access the third floor. The property is very well maintained. Great location too. Very central access to waking Edgartown - and easy access to the many island highlights. Side note : Being a huge fan of JAWS, I was so delighted to determine this property was shooting location along Water street it was shown in the scene where Brody walked to the hardware store across from the bike store which now houses a great coffee shop. So close to the Chappy ferry as well. Highly recommend this property -

Me and my fiancé just had an intimate wedding in Edgartown. Our family and toddler stood at this hotel since our hotel did not allow kids. Never had I felt staff lack hospitality, common sense or courtesy like the staff at the Kelly House. One example, my dad (who is blind) had just checked out at 11 am and he left his bags at the lobby. At 12 noon he wanted to use a restroom was denied access since "he checked out". Was told to "find somewhere outside that has a bathroom". Never asked to help with luggage. Never opened doors. Never made eye contact or a hello, or a good morning. Continental breakfast normally consist of more than two items. In this case it was burnt coffee and some sweet muffin for which you have to ask for one by one. If your in a group of 4 or 5 and one person asks for a muffin don't you think you should ask if others from the group want any? So let's say you're an introvert who doesn't care about courtesy or a false advertised continental breakfast, or any form of hospitality. You just want a clean/nice place to sleep and leave. Well this place is not it. You have to tell the staff to clean. They only cleaned our room once during a 4 night stay.

I was a bit hesitant afterwards, as their location in Edgartown is several miles away from the ferry terminal. However, after our stay, this was not a concern. Edgartown is somewhat quieter and a bit less 'touristy' to me (though the town largely caters to tourists). One thing that drew me to this property also was the expense vs. ratings. Many other similarly (or lower) rated places were much more expensive. It is all relative on the island, but this, to me, was a good value. I was a bit apprehensive also about getting checked in, as our ferry reservations were such that we would barely arrive by their 5 p.m. front-office closing time. They confirmed that they could leave the key in an envelope for us, but that always seems slightly problematic. However, it all worked out and we did arrive at 5 p.m. The innkeeper was assisting other guests so our key was in an envelope anyway, but she showed up about 3 minutes later to ensure everything was fine and took time to explain anything extra about the room. The site is about 1 block from the edge of the town's commercial district, so walking anywhere in town is easy. Parking is not expansive, but you just need to park parallel to a fence adjacent to your room. This was never a difficulty while we were there. The area was quiet also; not much noise to disturb you. The room itself was well equipped. There was a small kitchenette and a dinette table, along with a sitting area (with a fold-out couch). When the couch was folded out, the room was a bit cramped (but that is when you're sleeping, mostly). The couch-bed involved an air mattress that was easy to inflate. The adjoining bedroom was also a bit small, but adequate. Everything was clean and appeared well-maintained. In all, the only limiting factor here was room-size, but I was also unwilling to pay $100 (or more) a night for more space. It was a slight compromise, but worth it. If I returned to the island, I'd consider staying here again.
