As a long time Vinchi's fan, I haven't had it since it moved from The Sandcastle to The Bubbler. We walked in to a PACKED bar (Brewers were playing), so we decided to sit in the back restaurant area. We were greeted & seated immediately. We decided on a large Vinchi's special-just as delicious as I remember! The one & only server handled the food orders very well. I complimented her hard work & she informed me this was her first server job! The pizza is perfectly thin with a savory sauce-not sweet at all. Toppings were plentiful & served tavern style. Update: Owner called me back and said the next time I ordered it was on the house. Louise was very sweet and I really appreciated her doing that. Got to try the Vinchi's Special, Sausage, Mushroom, and Onion. It was delicious and the sausage was very good. Will definitely be back! __________ I called and ordered takeout. This place is inside The Bubbler bar, which is not advertised outside, nor was I told on the phone. Don't stop at the bar; just go straight to the back to get your pizza, and again, it's not obvious. Oh, and cash only! I waited an hour for it to be ready, drove there, went home, and my order was wrong. Didn't notice until I opened the stapled pizza sleeve when I got home. Ordered a medium peperoni and a large sausage, mushroom, and onion. My picture shows the order receipt. But what I got was two peperoni pizzas. Tl dr: some of the best thin crust pizza around! This place is CASH ONLY and is hidden in the back of The Bubbler bar in Bay View. My husband is so in love with this pizza, we got it late night on our wedding night! The thin crust is the perfect ratio of crunch and flaky and the pizza sauce is zesty without adding too much as to make everything soggy. We usually get ours with extra cheese which gets things pretty greasy, but that's our own fault! You have fairly basic toppings there, so no arugula or pesto-based pizzas for you here. Just good, traditional, thin crust slices of goodness. I don't know who Vinichi was, but he was masterful dough dude. We usually always get the cheesy garlic bread as well and do a simple takeout order where we socially distance, grab and go. I've seen some mention about less than impressed reviews of the sandwiches - I've never tried them because it's CALLED VINICHI'S PIZZA. They know what they're good at. I stopped here for a sandwich for one reason and that is that the menu says char broiled sandwich's and I love the flavor of char broiled meat. Ok I drove past this place two times and I couldn't find a pizza place and only a bar called bubblers so I'm completely confused so I call and ask where are they located and I was told inside of bubblers. I sit at the bar with a beer and ordered my cheesesteak sandwich and I'm sitting there and sitting for 35 minutes for a sandwich, seriously because its basically a dam cheeseburger. I order the steak and cheese that is $11 but I juice it up with garlic bread spread, onions and mushrooms that got my sandwich up to $14 now. The sandwich is big weighing in at 1 pound and 9 ounces by the way so your warned. For char broiled I thought that I don't smell it like you do when you open a whopper sandwich with that grilled smell, you smell the grilled odor. I taste a nibble of the meat and no char broiled flavor so I open the sandwich up and no grill marks either so the menu is a lie and the only reason that I stopped by, seriously. The cheesesteak sandwich is really just a beef patty and not a real cheesesteak in any way so don't let the menu fool you. The cheesesteak sandwich has tons of mozzarella by the way. As I'm eating the sandwich I thought it was ok and just a glorified cheeseburger for the most part and in no way a $14 sandwich at all but the garlic spread did make it better. Been wanting to try their pizza for a year since I read an article on best pizza in Milwaukee. I live in Chicago but was here for the weekend so ordered a couple of pizzas for pick up on Saturday. It was a 45 minute wait for pick up and parking is street parking only. Nice people but found out the hard way they don't have boxes so had help getting 2 pizzas to the car. Located inside the Bubbler is a pizza you will truly enjoy! The sauce is a deep thick red sauce, with just the right amount of spices. The crust is crispy EVEN in the middle!! But the cheese... Wow! It's by far the most cheese we have EVER enjoyed on a pizza and garlic bread. Also wanted to add this is the first pizza we have ever eaten and neither of us got heartburn! True story! Delicious thin crust pizza! I've heard lots of good things about Vinchi's pizza, and I'm glad to say it lived up to the hype! If you like thin crust pizza you should check it out. The crust is thin and crispy all the way through. The sauce is slightly sweet with a spicy zest. We had sausage and pepperoni toppings. It was perfect! If you're looking for "fancy" toppings, this may not be for you. You may have heard or read... Cash only! They're in the back of a bar called the Bubbler. That pizza is dangerously hot when they bring it! They warn you! I'm not a fan of cheesy garlic bread, but theirs is good and I'm sure it saved me from painful burns to the roof of my mouth from the molten pizza. There isn't a clear separation from the bar and we watched a trio take a table thinking they were going to be able to order drinks, which they were, but they were told they had to order food or move to the front. Why didn't you tell me? I thought we were friends.... Don't come here looking for fancy toppings. Don't come here looking for that limited release craft beer (though they do have a decent tap list). Don't even think of using that credit card, son. Cash only. Vinchi's is a place to order up the Milwaukee classic cheese, sausage, mushroom, onion and pair it with a pitcher of Miller Lite. Pizzas can take a bit (30-45min) so get some garlic cheese bread to nosh on. While you'll wait, you'll be able to "enjoy" the jukebox selections of fellow patrons. In fact, you'll have no choice because they crank it to 11 - seriously, please turn it down a bit. When your pizza arrives, it will be piping hot. They will warn you, and you will be tempted to disregard those warnings because your pizza is a thing of beauty. Don't do it - you don't want to burn your tastebuds off. Give it a few, and then dig it and discover the ample toppings, fresh fennelly sausage and perfectly crunchy crust - even in the middle. Vinchi's has some of the best pizza in Milwaukee! Located within a bar called The Bubbler, it is literally a hidden gem. Every pizza I have ordered from Vinchi's, whether in-person or for pick-up, has been great. I give it four stars for a few logistical inconveniences. First, their hours aren't always consistent. Prior to the pick-up schedule they established in response to COVID, it was hard to predict when the kitchen would be open. Sometimes we would drive out to the bar assuming they would be open because they were on the same day last week only to find that that wasn't the case. Pizzas are usually ready for pickup about an hour after ordering, which is pretty reasonable, but they can take that long or longer to come out on evenings when they are open for both dine-in and carry-out, likely because the size of the kitchen staff is always the same. I wouldn't recommend eating here if you have somewhere to be after. Lastly, note that Vinchi's only takes cash, so be sure to bring some with you! read more

Vinchi's is like the Safe House of pizza places. You have to know that it is hidden in the back of the Bubbler bar or there is no tasty pizza for you! Also, just like any good "hidden" gem they don't take credit or checks so bring your greenbacks. You can opt to have delivery (which can be slow), take out, sit at the bar or sit in the little back area by Vinchi's. Personally I opt for the bar and have a drink while I wait for my tasty 'za. It is much better when you have it piping hot out of the oven vs. waiting until you devour it at home. The crust here is a typical Milwaukee thin cracker crust. The sauce is on the sweeter side piled with the right amount of toppings. There are no artichoke hearts here just your typical Milwaukee special with some typical toppings..nothing too exotic. If you asked for something fancy they would probably ignore you and laugh...this is a pizzeria tucked in the back of a south side bar! If you aren't feeling pizza I highly recommend the pork chop sandwich. For $10 you get a HUGE sandwich which you could share or devour it all by yourself and be a little piggy. The pizza and garlic bread is solid but nothing life changing. If you are in Bay View and find yourself at a bar without food I recommend calling them for a pie delivery. I used to live in Bay View and have always loved Vinchi's. I was in the Milwaukee area and decided to stop by. Vinchi's opens at 4:00pm. We arrived at 4:05pm. The owner (?) asked us what we wanted so we ordered a cheese pizza before we sat down. At 4:35 a nice employee who had just got to work came by and gave us plates. She asked if we ordered the cheese pizza to which we said yes. Ten minutes later the owner sat at the table next to us and proceeded to eat a small pizza. At 5:07pm, over an hour after we ordered, the employee brought out our pizza. Twenty minutes after the owner sat down and ate his pizza! Our pizza wasn't started until the nice employee came in and confirmed our order. When I lived in Bayview Vinchi's would deliver pizza to our house in 45 minutes to an hour on a weekend. I was soo disappointed. I gave a 2 stars rating because our server (the nice employee who made sure our pizza was made for us) was great and took excellent care of us. She gave us superior service. I've only had Vinchi's Pizza while dining in at the Bubbler so I can't speak to how well it travels. If you sit at the bar, you can pay via credit card for drinks but you will still need cash for the food as it is prepared and served by the restaurant in the back of the bar. If you sit at a table, pay cash for the whole experience. If you order a pizza, be prepared to wait between 30 minutes to an hour because I'll bet they follow stringent perfect pizza preparation practices. Proper. Dixie paper plates and napkins will be delivered to you along with a rack of parmesan and pepper flakes in jars and you will think "is my pizza on its way??" But no, it will still be a bit longer. This pizza comes to your table smoking hot. It will stare at you suggestively and say "what are you waiting for, big timer?!" We burned our mouths, you know...the little tender flap of flesh right behind your front teeth, the first time we ate it, and as such I don't think we had the full appreciation for how good the pizza was. But we went back. The thin crust was uniformly cornmeal dusted crunchy all across the bottom. The sauce was peppery and savory. The meats were meaty. The cheese was buttery. Pizza perfection in my book. While waiting for your pizza, you can listen to some jukebox tunes or watch some sports on several TVs. The Chicken Parm is different but great. The chicken is not deep fried but grilled, sesame seed bun, and heavy on the chicken. Fantastic. The pizza is one of the better I have had in the city. This is a great little place in the back of the Bubbler Pub. They have a couple of tables in the back just outside of the kitchen or you can sit in the bar area. My wife and I have been here quite a few times and are never disappointed. The pizza is one of the best around town and the Italian sausage sandwich is fantastic. However getting them to answer their phone, even when they first open, so you can put in a carry-out order is next to impossible. The phone rings and rings and eventually disconnects you. I would go there even if it was on its own. But hidden in the back is Vinchi's, one of the best pizza spots I have ever experienced. Now, about that pizza. Simply terrific. Thin crispy crust topped with premium ingredients and cooked to perfection. Nothing more needs to be said. Just awesome. (Oops, I guess there was more to be said). Be patient though.
