I give this shop a zero, they lied about repairing my car charged me over $400 and refused initially to refund me my money . Vince left the air intake valve on my car detached I noticed once I looked under my hood to find out why it stalled. My engine sucked in foreign material. My car lost power and once I looked under the hood, I found Vince just threw the valve in there contributing to the problem. AAA towed my MB-E350 here for a broken belt. Vince took the initiative to explain and offering a repair solution (they replaced a coolant hose, belt and over temp sensor for $1,000). Canceled a cheaper oil change appointment at another shop to come get the AAA service (oil change, tire rotation, and inspection) from this place. They told me I'd be done in about an hour, so I'd be able to make it back to work on time. When I show up to the appointment, they asked if I'd be able to leave the vehicle? I said "no, I need to wait for the vehicle". He said, "sorry, but I had two guys call out of work today, but would you like to make an appointment for tomorrow"? So not only would I not be out of there within an hour, but I also couldn't even get service unless I left my vehicle! I get it, things happen! But I made an appointment, they knew my time line, and they had my phone number. If they would've called me to let me know the situation, then I wouldn't be writing this negative review. People are busy and have lives, guys! So next time pick up the phone and communicate! Luckily Valvoline was next door, and I got an oil change within 20 min. read more

Honesty and Integrity is hard to find in a auto repair shop. Well look no further. The people at Vince's are honest and up front. They are very friendly. The prices are fair. and the cleanliness of the shop rivals the nearby restaurants. We took our car here after the warranty expired without recommendation, just an Auto Club referral. After years of going to dealers we tried a couple of other independent shops and felt like we weren't getting screwed (at the dealers or the independent shops). Vince was friendly, helpful, and very up-front. He told us what we needed to fix, and how urgent it was. We couldn't afford much at the time, so he said fix "this one thing" today, try to get this fixed within the next six months or so, and "this other thing" will probably be fine for a few years. He gave us reasonable quotes, and tried to save us money where he could. For example, he fixed a part rather than replacing it, which saved us several hundred dollars (and is still working fine after two years). He also pointed out how the fuel filter had never been changed. He showed us some markings from the factory original filter to the hose that had never even been disturbed - which was clear proof. despite having paid to have it replaced as part of the scheduled maintenance at the dealers throughout the years. And to top it off, he likes to steam clean the engine before working on it. I don't blame him, it makes it easier for him to work on, but it is a nice touch to come out with a clean engine. read more

I took my 2002 Toyota Camry here to get a water pump changed. They told me they were putting top quality genuine OEM Toyota parts on so I paid top dollar thinking I was getting what I was told. Not even 10,000 miles later the water pump goes out again so I took it to a different shop for a second opinion and the mechanic at the new shop said the water pump that was installed was a GMB aka POS $40 pump that I paid almost $700 for. This shop rips people off and has a smile and no problem doing it. I would never recommend this place to my family or friends. If only I could give this mechanic shop zero stars I would. My husbands car needed repairs as he was on his way to work and an animal got into the highway and damaged the car. We called AAA and they recommended this Shop as they are a verified/ certified shop from AAA. Therefore we felt it was a trusted mechanic. They ran a diagnostic and gave us a quote. We went forward with the repairs. We picked up the vehicle and paid over $1800. My husband drove the car for 1 day after picking it up and the car stopped and the check engine went on. We immediately took it back to them on a Friday night. They offered a rental for my husband as they close on the weekend. come Monday they ran another diagnostic and the additional cost for repairing Would be another $2400 for something completely irrelevant from the first issue and because they didn't do their labor right this new issue came about. Of course We declined the new quote and the mechanic called back lowering the cost to offer us some help cause he felt bad. To $1700 and hours later to $1000 and hour later to not paying anything at all but just for us to pay the car rental. I waited a few days to write this review because I didn't want to write out of anger and frustration. We work hard for our money and covid has taken a toll on our expenses. This whole experience has been a rough one to get by. What's even more sad is that they lost a customer. Had this experience been a great one we would have continued to go there and referred it to many. We called AAA to file a complaint and let them know our experience so they stop referring this company. We are out of $2000 almost and about another $2000 or more to fix their damage with a different mechanic. read more

Took my Toyota Avalon into this place on July 3rd. I asked to have the car looked at for a check engine light and coolant leak. I was quoted for a $75 diagnostic and my car wasn't even looked at beforehand, but I handed the keys over, whatever. I got a beefy handshake and a smile. It was hours later and I just dropped by to see if it was almost ready and I was told "you can go home." I was honestly planning on skateboarding around the area. I left and came back. I was told I had a leak in the radiator; this was true. But the engine light diagnostic took hours. When it was done, I was told "I have nothing good to tell you" and I was given a diagram that said my evap canister was bad. I asked, stuttering, if my car would pass a smog test. He said, "well, no." When I told him, "It's expensive," he told me that "not everyone can afford to repair their cars." It's not that I can't afford it, it's just that I would rather pay a more decent amount. I paid for the $75 dollar diagnostic and took my car somewhere else. I had my valve cover and oil leak fixed, which Vince's Automotive did not catch. Of course, they were only doing the diagnostic for the engine light and coolant leak, it appears. I saved about $80 on my radiator getting it done by another mechanic (definitely not a radiator guy but knowledgeable). The engine light went off and I passed the smog test. I definitely wasn't told anything about a gas cap at Vince's. I got a new gas cap just in case. Not sure it was the problem with my Toyota's check engine light, but whatever. I would not recommend Vince's Automotive. read more

Found my new forever auto shop. Took my '99 Toyota Tacoma to Vince for 100,000 mile maintenance -- had a few concerns and Vince and his crew thoroughly addressed them all. Vince went beyond the call of duty in tracing the age of the fan belt he thought looked a bit worn, among myriad other details he checked. As it turned out, he recommended that I not replace the fan belt. I was given a complimentary ride home while Vince worked on my truck, and was picked up when it was ready. They even cleaned the engine so that it literally sparkled. The price was more than fair and my truck was purring, as I expect it will continue to do. I drove away with a smile on my face -- a rare occurrence for a new customer taking a chance on a new auto shop. My initial reaction is not to trust auto mechanics. It's because I don't know enough about cars to know if I am being taken advantage of. That being said, it's stressful when an issue arises with my car and I am forced to call the service dealership. And this dealership has tried to rip me off in the past (long story which ends with catalytic converter). So my car was having issues starting and required its scheduled maintenance. I found Vince online and he quickly took care of the ignition starting problem (battery) and my scheduled maintenance. He provided a future service recommendation without ANY pressure. Vince will not scare you, unless he has to. It was painless and less than what the dealership quoted. My fuel sensor was acting up and I ran out of gas. AAA dropped me off at Vince's. First, they told me that they'd have to change my oil in order to diagnose the problem which didn't make sense. They said the overflow bottle was cracked so they replaced it and flushed the cooling system. They could have easily said the thermostat was bad too but no... they are honest.
