OMG...That first bite I was not prepared for the zesty fresh tomatoes with a nice medium charred undercarriage and light crunch. I love garlic, so that was just an added delightful ingredient. I discovered this place during a Yelp event and fell in love with it. A buddy of mine was feeling down so I brought him here to have a slice. I watched him devour an entire pizza. Long story short, after months this place still is putting out a solid pie. The staff is just as wonderful as I remembered. It's easy to put on a smile during an event, but maintaining that smile day in and day out is a remarkable feat. Seating is limited. There are a few inside and 3-4 tables outside. I also enjoyed the Supreme Salad which was packed with lettuce, cherry tomatoes, chick peas, olives, red onions, cucumbers and pepperoncini. I stopped into Vincenzo's at approximately 7:50 PM and was not sure what to have as I have never been to this place before. I decided on a couple of slices of Sicilian pizza. They said they were out of Sicilian but if I came back in 15 minutes it would be ready. I came back and bought two slices. I took the slices with me and began eating them at approximately 8:10 PM. What I discovered was not what I was looking for. The pizza was over sauced, thus making it a little difficult to taste the cheese. The other thing I discovered was that the pizza was undercooked. Instead of tasting bready, the pizza tasted gummy. Their sauce is okay, but they need to do it in moderation. read more

My Sicilian pie was not bad and among the better versions I have tried in South Florida however the bar is low but at least this was decent. The sauce wasn't very good and it was too bready and dense and suffered from sugar overkill. Also there was an absence of olive oil which I remedied with EVOO when it was delivered. I really tried to like this place. I know people who know the owner, and he said it would be real New York pizza. As someone from New York, I had high expectations, and they completely missed the mark. I have given it three or four chances. Every time I order by the slice, it is cold, underheated, or burnt. Tonight was the last straw. I got a plain slice and a buffalo slice, and both were barely warm. The dough was pale, mushy, and undercooked. No char, no crisp, just bad. I did not even finish them. It is not just the slices. I have had a fresh pie before, and it was still bland crust, flavorless sauce, and forgettable cheese. Add in crazy prices, over ten dollars for two slices, and it just does not make sense. The staff does not seem trained or know how to reheat a slice properly. I called to complain and could not even get a manager on the phone. No one seemed to care. I live in a country club community full of New Yorkers who know pizza, and everyone I have talked to agrees this place is not it. If you want real pizza, go to Aunt Lulu's or Death by Pizza instead. I never leave reviews but something was definitely off when I ordered from this restaurant via uber eats. I definitely made my order correct, only to receive garlic knots. When I called the restaurant, somehow they knew exactly about my order and "found it weird" that it was only garlic knots. Further communication definitely could've been made. Vincenzo' is pretty darn close to New York pizza. The crust is great and so are the toppings. Right now it is pretty much a take out place as there is only a counter to eat.
