The wedge was great with extra cracked pepper. For our entrees my wife ordered the appetizer meatballs which were large enough to be a full meal and I ordered the Bone in Ribeye. We visited Vince Young's Steakhouse with high expectations. Both my husband and I ordered filets cooked medium. While they arrived pink in the center, the exterior of my husband's steak was so heavily charred on the outside it was difficult to cut--and nearly impossible to enjoy. The biggest issue, though, was the overwhelming salt. Both steaks were so salty it felt like they had been soaked in ocean water. The asparagus side was equally disappointing, served in what can only be described as a pool of butter and salt. It wasn't just rich--it was borderline inedible. The excessive oiliness of everything even left a noticeable film on my glass of Malbec just from a sip. Sadly, the quality and balance we expected from a high-end steakhouse just wasn't there. Lounge area only and it's first come first serve but we got lucky and found bar seating maybe 30 minutes before the end and managed to order a few things. (For me) I recommend the Wagyu Brisket Beef burger, the flavor is on point and the texture is nice as well. It's a very satisfying and filling burger with a delicately meaty taste! The fries are great I wish they gave more! I ate mine so quickly Crab cake was delicious! Large tasty chunks of meat in the prized cake-shaped patty that doesn't dissolve or disintegrate when you try to scoop it up with a fork. There's nothing special about it but it's just a good tender burger with fries. The quail was just bad. There was absolutely no seasoning, no salt, the meat was tender, but it tasted like nothing. And the sauce that comes with it does not even fit with the quail. It's like an Asian sauce and that combination just doesn't work well. The steak Frites was pretty good but the steak was a little on the hard side rather than being tender. The ketchup that was serve with the fries also taste, homemade, and it is incredibly bland. They were all incredible value for the happy hour prices though I was really only impressed by the bone marrow. The quail came with a spicy, citrusy sauce I didn't like much so I dipped it in the house made ketchup that the fries came with and found that tasted much better. Best food happy hour I have ever been to! $10 steak frites, and everything else on their bar and lounge menu was half off. We also got the salmon tartare and bone marrow. The salmon tartare was delicious, and the steak frites was pretty good too. It wasn't the best steak I've ever had but for $10 I really can't complain. The bone marrow I was slightly disappointed in though because I felt like they could have left it in the oven a little longer to roast. It wasn't very spreadable and I feel like the fat of the marrow and the butter/fat on the toast was too much together. I ended up taking the bone marrow home to roast more in my oven. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend coming here for their happy hour! It's Mon-Fri from 5-7 PM if I remember correctly. read more
