My wife ordered the house bread and wedge salad as appetizers. The bread came with a garlic butter that melted very quickly and the bread was soft and fluffy. The wedge was great with extra cracked pepper. For our entrees my wife ordered the appetizer meatballs which were large enough to be a full meal and I ordered the Bone in Ribeye. The ribeye was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I would order that steak again any time. Drinks- 5 out of 5. We had a couple drinks to start our dinner. They were great and we were pleasantly surprised by the wide selection of bourbon, liquors, and wines. Service- 5 out of 5. Our waiter was phenomenal. We visited Vince Young's Steakhouse with high expectations. Both my husband and I ordered filets cooked medium. While they arrived pink in the center, the exterior of my husband's steak was so heavily charred on the outside it was difficult to cut--and nearly impossible to enjoy. The biggest issue, though, was the overwhelming salt. Both steaks were so salty it felt like they had been soaked in ocean water. The asparagus side was equally disappointing, served in what can only be described as a pool of butter and salt. It wasn't just rich--it was borderline inedible. The excessive oiliness of everything even left a noticeable film on my glass of Malbec just from a sip. Sadly, the quality and balance we expected from a high-end steakhouse just wasn't there. For the price and reputation, we left more disappointed than satisfied. Our waiter was outstanding and that is the only thing that earned one star. I had the wagu burger and, sadly tasted like a typical burger. At the end of the night, I wish I would have gone somewhere cheaper because it was in my option overrated. The place had perfect lighting. Was very intimate, which is exactly what we wanted. Service was good too, very professional and accommodating. We chose a 5pm reservation so we would be in and out due to our baby bedtime and our waiter kept the evening moving along quickly which is exactly what we needed! Lounge area only and it's first come first serve but we got lucky and found bar seating maybe 30 minutes before the end and managed to order a few things. I got the burnt orange-tini and it was delicious and strong. For food I got the bone marrow, the pork belly and the steak frites. Everything was phenomenal and I especially loved the bone marrow. She did such a great job. Our waiter Armando was simply amazing. Management I want you to know these two are doing an exceptional job for your establishment and we had an amazing dinner. Food: I went with the perfect 10 and let me tell you what it was perfect! 5 ounces of Japanese Wagyu steak. 5 ounces of Texas Wagyu beef. What else could you ask for. They were cooked to perfection. The service was very slow I had to flag down anyone that came by for some water because I had no idea who our server the entire night. Server was knowledgeable and helpful - as anyone who has read a review of mine knows, there are food allergies I have to be concerned about. The server listened and made recommendations ultimately adjusting an entree to fit my needs. The table had the filet, pork chop, salmon, and ribeye all were cooked as requested. Appetizers included the lobster bisque and fried quail. Lobster bisque was good. Fries quail, while tasty, was difficult as the amount of breading made it challenging to see what you were biting into which as a result I bit off bone a couple times. I'll pass on that appetizer next time. Over all, service was excellent and the ambiance is exactly what you expect. I recommend highly for a good night out - date night or business meal. It's open seating for happy hour at the bar & the lounge, so you will be elbows locked with ppl and sharing tables. Park in the nearby garage for $10 if you don't want to valet. During happy hour the bar & lounge menu is half off. We ordered the steak frites ($10 deal at the time), bone marrow, and also the pork belly (I didn't get a pic of this). Steak frites hit the spot for the price we paid. Perfect medium rare we asked for and fairly easy to chew, but probably couldn't feed more than 1 person and honestly even for 1 person they might not get full. Bone marrow was heavy on the garlic and oil so don't recommend getting if you don't like that or health conscious, otherwise I'd say it's delicious with the bread. Our bone marrow was kind of lacking though with the actual marrow content and at some point we just had to eat the bread plain with garlic bits. Hands down the best dish we tried was the pork belly. I didn't know what to expect because I'd only ever had pork belly asian styles and hardly had a taste for bbq flavors. This pork belly came out soft and tender. What an incredible steakhouse for a night out! A great vibe, not too bright or too dark and lots of longhorns on the walls. If you have a cowboy hat, this is the place to wear it! The pork belly starter is deliciously rich and tender, while also a little crunchy on the outside. The drinks are strong but well mixed. The short rib chili is amazing, and elevated even more by the cornbread it is paired with. For main courses: the filet with the seafood trio is not your normal "filet Oscar". It has scallops, shrimp and crab meat , and the sauce has a Texas kick to it. Of course, the chef's Japanese A5 wagyu is absolutely incredible. You don't need a knife to cut it...heck I'm not sure you need teeth to chew it! And for dessert...if they happen to have the eggnog crème brûlée...order it. Trust me. There is comfortable seating throughout the restaurant, we arrived on bird scooters at 4:50 PM and waited outside as a group of eight. Happy Hour menu is the way to go! (For me) I recommend the Wagyu Brisket Beef burger, the flavor is on point and the texture is nice as well. It's a very satisfying and filling burger with a delicately meaty taste! The fries are great I wish they gave more! I ate mine so quickly Crab cake was delicious! Large tasty chunks of meat in the prized cake-shaped patty that doesn't dissolve or disintegrate when you try to scoop it up with a fork. If I had gone alone I definitely would've ordered 4 more... for myself! On a side note the Quail looked extremely delicious. I wish I could've tried it on my visit. The full menu offers an extensive array of delicious options. Including Porterhouse steaks and Tomahawks. This is something that I would would like to dive into during another visit. There's nothing special about it but it's just a good tender burger with fries. The quail was just bad. There was absolutely no seasoning, no salt, the meat was tender, but it tasted like nothing. And the sauce that comes with it does not even fit with the quail. It's like an Asian sauce and that combination just doesn't work well. The steak Frites was pretty good but the steak was a little on the hard side rather than being tender. The ketchup that was serve with the fries also taste, homemade, and it is incredibly bland. We sat at the bar- unfortunately the server took our order and we simply forgot so when food runners came we didn't think twice- but it was the wrong food It was fine, we didn't have an issue with the order or paying for it, but she was rude about it.
