My favorite pizza in the area. Chewy and crispy crust, melty, stretchy cheese, tasty sauce that isn't super chunky with tomatoes. Nice spread of pepperoni. Reminds me of NY pizza. Not the friendliest delivery guy, but he finds our place every time (other delivery people constantly get lost, and give up!!). Stopped in to pick up the pizza instead of having it delivered the other night. The place is sort of old and needs a good paint job, maybe new flooring but I don't really care that much - food is delicious. We ordered delivery tonight via Uber Eats and were so happy with everything we ordered. The cheese pizza was Italian style with the perfect amount of cheese and sauce; my kiddos ate the entire pizza. Chicken broccoli Alfredo with ziti was so good, had enough Alfredo sauce and the chicken was a large piece (very good price too!), and the tuna melt sub that my son got was on braided seeded sub roll and really stuffed with tuna, cheese, lettuce and tomato. First of all, delivery was great - prompt and the food arrived pretty hot despite our location ~12 minutes away. The eggplant parmesan + pasta was a large portion, but overall, it was pretty soggy and bland and not very interesting. Some garlic, Italian herbs, flavorful cheese, crispier fry on the eggplant...this dish just needed something to make it more appealing. Perhaps it was the red sauce that was lacking flavor, as the mushroom and spinach pizza was also pretty bland. I did appreciate the relatively thin and crispy crust. Next time I would opt for more flavorful toppings - like sausage or pepperoni - to punch up the flavor. read more

Horrible. The owner completely screwed up a whole order for an entire family. We called to ask for a refund or the correct order, and he raised his voice over the phone, essentially gas lit my family into saying we didn't order what we did (we all know) and told us that we were wrong. He told us the only thing he could do was to send us a new order, and actually take back the wrong order. I've never heard of any restuanrunt or food service industry to take food back. Best NY style pizza in the area. We were so excited to find this gem near us for good pizza - it is pretty close to what you'd get in NY.

I'm not sure what NY style pizza people from the reviews are used to but this pizza was awful. Maybe I got pizza from there on a bad night? Growing up in the NY/NJ/Philly area, I know good Italian pizza. This is definitely not it. Because it was the first time I was ordering from here, I decided to keep it simple - I ordered a cheese pizza and a margarita pizza. I thought they gave me the wrong order because the margarita pizza looked nothing like it was supposed to. As you can see from the picture the fresh mozzarella is pretty much missing and there are only a few fresh tomatoes. It's basically a cheese pie with some cut up basil thrown on it. Both pizzas are way overdone and the crust is tough and flavorless. My son ate one piece of the margarita and said how disappointed he was. My daughter and I each ate one piece. The crust is normally my favorite part but the dogs got that because it was too overcooked and crunchy to eat. The cheese pizza is at least passable but still tough and tasteless. I was so hopeful for this place after I read the reviews but I will NOT be going back there again. read more

RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE This place has gone down the tubes. most recent order was almost 30 min late and the food was ice cold. Tried working with the restaurant to get a refund since we order from them all the time. They say they will refund if we return the food. 2 starving kids were waiting for food. We reheated the pizza in the oven and the mozzarella sticks had to be put in the microwave. The bbq chicken on the salad was cold when it is usually hot. "For a crappy area on the corner of a busy intersection, it's a good place to go." The people who own it are very pleasant which is appreciated when trying out a new place. We ended up here by attempting to find a pizza place with a name, not for example "town of "..." pizzeria." And for the fun 40 minutes we drove, this place was a nice little diamond in the rough. Based on some reviews saying this was a great NY style pizza place, I tried it because I just moved to Shrewsbury and didn't know a delivery pizza place for a post-Christmas fat lazy day. Now I'm convinced everyone else who reviewed this place favorably was either drunk or has never had good pizza before. Not only was the crust horribly tough and chewy (almost like a frozen pizza but I'd still prefer freschetta), it was bland and the sauce was just off. It took a lot of salt and basil to make it somewhat edible. It also didn't help that the pizza arrived looking like it went from an oven to a salad spinner on the ride here. There are so many restaurants that this one doesn't even come up in the first few pages on Yelp- that's too bad. It's really so much better than the other pizza/salad places around here, so just give it a chance! I have never been there- just had things delivered to work. I ordered the small sausage and mushroom pizza. Good pizza! Great tasting sauce with fresh sweet Italian sausage and fresh mushrooms. Good ratio of cheese to sauce . Crust was a little thick for me ( I think NY pizza style should always be thin) but really tasty . My was a cheese pizza ($6.99 + 2 toppings at $1.10 each) They also offer numerous 10" gourmet pizzas starting at $8.99 . I now have tried a few mixed salads and they are really good! Lots of fresh crisp romaine and iceberg lettuce, shredded carrots, red/green peppers, black olives, tomatoes, cucumbers. The antipasto salad was huge, and the tuna was good- also a lot of it! Lots of dressing to choose from, and you get a big fresh 1/2 pita bread with each salad. Big mixed salad is only $4.99. Add 2 big scoops of fresh tuna salad for only $2.00 more. Same with other salads- they range depending on what you want. They do have a full menu, but I can only write about what I have tasted. However, I will keep exploring the menu with time. I was having one of those days - I was lost, Maps wouldn't work on my phone, I finally found route 20 but the sun was blaring in my eyes. I pulled into this complex before I hit something and saw this small pizza place. I was running late, no idea what to do for dinner, and thought to myself - perfect, at least I'll come home with food. After my - no good very bad day - this pizza made me forget! It was so good. My family inhaled it and asked if I would get it again. They actually wished I had gotten more. I got a cheese and also I think it was called Tuscan - garlic sauce, pesto, and the primavera pizza. So authentic, really nice crust, just awesome. Yes, a bit of a hole in the wall but I think our new go to! Ya for failed technology! Vina's is pretty good. Does get about as close as you can to NYC pizza living in the middle of MA. The dough actually has good texture and nothing is greasy like you get with other pizza places around here. Calzones are solid ... the large ones are great as a pizza alternative to mix it up a bit. You can feed multiple people off one. Wouldn't recommend the desserts, but everything else is great. read more

So happy we discovered this place. We're from East Boston and there is great pizza everywhere. We have been in Shrewsbury 3 years now and tried a zillion pizza places which ranged from mediocre to horrible. We drive all the way into Boston sometimes just for pizza. I'm Italian and it drives me crazy how bad the pizza is out here. This is the first pizza place that has Italian pizza like Boston. We also convinced the very sweet Italian that owns the place to sell us a couple of his sub rolls and they were wonderful. I haven't been able to find an Italian bakery out here that makes Italian rolls - and no the supermarket doesn't count. This was our first time but looking at the menu I can't wait to try their subs. The Italian has the correct cold cut combination, another sandwich I have not been able to find out here made correctly. I hope we continue to like it. Never in my life have I met a more incompetent group of people. Genuinely in my life I've never been around such a disorganized bunch I'm astounded. Worst customer service. I called early to ask if they made SHEET pizza (the giant ones for parties), I asked in a few different ways stating I really needed a very large pizza, not just a size large but a SHEET PIZZA. I said the words sheet pizza and really big so many times it lost meaning by the time I finished asking- they assured me after I spent about a whole minute asking. I get there and all they have is a large pizza I say I asked for a sheet pizza, the super helpful man behind the desk says "we only have small and large" AWESOME then why did no one say that on the phone after I asked about 12 times if they had sheet pizzas. They tell me they can give me a discount on the pizza I say sure, nope lol. I also ordered wings. They say "we don't have any wings" oh really??? Cause I have the receipt AND it was already paid for. They find the wings after telling me they didn't have them. Honestly crazy there was like 4 people there and I guess they don't talk to each other or something because it was so disorganized and I still can't get over how dumb the whole experience was. Wish I could give a negative review. Also the wings are bland and the pizza meh as well. Excellent Pizza! We decided to try 4 different small pizzas and it was $40 well spent. We got a meatball, a Milano (Olive oil, sliced tomatoes, prosciuto, oregano, romano and mozzarella cheese) with added spinach, a Hot&Sweet (Sweet Italian sausage and hot peppers rings piled on top of mozzarella cheese) and a Margarita....all of them were fantastic! The Milano is an excellent flavor combination. The peppers on the hot and sweet were perfect. I had never had them on a pizza before. Their house meatballs are tasty...The margarita had a lot of cheese on it with big tomato slices so if you love that you'll love it! All in all we all loved all the pizzas. The crust was also very good. Not too thick and a little chewy with a good flaky crispness to it. We have never tried Vina's before and now we have a new favorite in town! read more

This is by far my favorite pizza in Northborough, which I know, is like being the worlds tallest midget. However, it is a true Italian style pizza not the Greek style of everywhere else in town. Nice crisp crust and just the right amount of sauce for my likes and allows for the NY fold while walking down the street. I ordered a pizza, salad, and a slice of tiramisu from Vina's Pizza and the delivery came within 45 minutes on a Sunday. The pizza was great, Italian style, thin crust and not too much oil or cheese. I loved it and it is the closest Italian style pizza I have eaten outside of Europe. The Cesaer salad was good and the tiramisu was amazing! read more

I'm so thrilled that I've found this place. Ordered a large calzone for work and didn't know that it was huuuge. You definitely get your money's worth here. It's run by some really nice guy; you can tell they REALLY care about the product they put out. Everything that I've had since the calzone has been hot, delicious, and made with love. The desserts are (majority) in a freezer but they're all kind of unique and worth a try. I'm actually waiting for food here now as I type. Their advertising really worked- - I found their flier tagged to my door one afternoon and saved the flier on my fridge/ collection of take out menu's. Last night was definitely a pizza night with no time to cook, and we decided to try Vina's- - esp because they deliver. The pizza was good, and will definitely try it again.
