Grabbed a quick dessert here while walking through. I'm a sucker for Nutella. The girl working was very nice. This tasted really good. If you like Nutella, try this.

Not to be confused with the more popular All'Antico Vinaio. This panini joint is much smaller and uses conspicuously similar font to its competitor. However, the paninis here were pretty legit. The focaccia tasted fresh and was slightly oily. There's a very cramped interior where you can eat in peace as opposed to mandatory eating out on the street for All'Antico Vinaio. Overall, the paninis were solid and especially good considering there was no long wait.

    Today's lunch spot.

So our guide says, 'this place is pretty good'. It was a casual mention, she wasn't raving, but we paid attention and we were glad that we did. There's a line, wait. The sandwiches we got were so big that we ended up throwing one away. It was a true shame. If you get lucky, like we did, you can sit in the restaurant on one of the four bar stools and enjoy your sandwich. It was very nice. So, what more could you want? You've got a big sandwich, a nice glass of wine, and 50% of the bar stools in the place. The guide was right, this was a good spot to eat lunch.

Really good service! The lady speaks some English and Spanish and Italian (duh) and she's very nice. We had the pork sandwich which was soooooo good. It has greens, pork, grilled egg plant, grilled zucchini and green salsa. It was 7.95 € It was delicious! It's a plus that she doesn't charge you for sitting and eating here :)

Food 4 Value 5 Service 4 Décor 4 Pros: Super tasty panini with fresh ingredients Convenient location by Palazzo Vecchio You get to watch them make the panini in front of you Cons: long wait Only about 5 seats inside; cramped space After climbing the tower at Palazzio vecchio, my family and I had worked up an appetite. There was a line of about 10 people in front of us who had not ordered their paninis yet and about 10 people already waiting for their panini. It took about 10-15 minutes for the queue to finish and for us get to the cash register to order our panini. They are all 5 euros each which is a steal considering how large these paninis are. Luckily there were 3 people leaving as we were paying so we grabbed their seats which were right in front of the counter and we were able to watch them efficiently make the paninis in front of us. All of the ingredients are SUPER fresh. There was 1 person assembling the paninis and 1 person expediting and dealing with front of the house. It's a small space that won't allow for more than 2 people working though, so there's only so much they can do. Ergo, long wait times. We had to wait about 20 minutes for our paninis. The entire time the team of 2 were working extremely hard on the backlog of paninis, so it was not for lack of effort. Rather, just lack of space and lack of panini grills! The bread was a bit too crunchy for my liking but the ingredients inside were fantastic. They don't put enough meat in the panini though-- only about 1- 1.5 layers which is quite sad. Would I come back here again? Only if the wait time is less than 10 minutes total. Panini Toscani is much better and worth a 30 minute wait.

My husband and I got the grotto. The sandwich is huge! The server offered to cut it for us. I also tried the spritz. All in all it was good. I thought sandwich was too crunchy. Its a small little place. Most time people take their food out.

Some of the best sandwiches around, good wine, and excellent service. A hole in the wall, but a great one! My girlfriend asked for a coffee, which they don't do, and the person serving us literally gave her his own!

Just do it! Don't wait in line for some of the other big name panini shops. This one is just as good if not better!

My bread tastes freezer burned and there were sparse toppings on my sandwich. It's tourist food, not real Italian.

There is seating inside for maybe a dozen people but we chose to sit at one of the 3 small tables outside to enjoy the nice weather. Draft beer was $6 euro and the mixed drinks varied from $8-12 euro. We met Alycia who is one of the owners. She was very pleasant and friendly. We stopped for a drink and stayed for 3 hours. The owner and staff were fantastic, very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. The wine bar itself is a small quaint little place. Probably seats about 12 to 15 people total and has plenty of windows so you can see passersby and people watch. The cheeseboard? Get the cheeseboard. They do a fantastic job of pairing everything together to really bring so many flavors to your tastebuds. Their house wine is phenomenal and they take great pride in finding the grapes/different varietals to make it come to life. They have a both a red and a white house wine option. The second time we went - and yes, we went more than once in the four days we were there - we enjoyed one of the sandwiches and it was absolutely amazing. The bread, I can't even explain, the bread it's so flavorful and so good and so light. That paired with the delicious meats and cheeses were 100% worth it. I definitely recommend this location to anybody who is visiting Florence regularly or for their first time.

They both were so gracious and knowledgeable, but also friendly and super funny. We didn't get the wine tasting but I heard them giving the people behind us one and I actually think I would have enjoyed it as well. The cocktails we did get were strong and delicious. November 9, 2024 2:30PM…read more It does appear they have two stalls on the same street that you can order from. One side seemed to have more alcohol on display and the side I was on was more sandwich focused, but I'm pretty sure you can order the same things from both windows. Initially I was going to get the 21 - Fresh Sausage and Eggplant because I'm an eggplant lover... the lady at the counter was kind enough to let me know that the fresh sausage is actually rare, uncooked sausage and gave me a small piece to try. I was getting ready to get on a train that day and didn't want something that might not sit well with me, so I moved on to number 27 spicy salami and cream cheese. My partner got the number 1, ham, cream cheese and rocket salad. Both are very good sized and oh so delicious. The line moved quickly, so many options for decision paralysis. This is the place for schiacciate Florentine as recommended from friends who used to live here. Definitely would recommend to study up their menu before coming so it's easier to pick what you want. This is more of a stall and you grab and go, we stood around the sidewalk and inhaled our sandwiches. Watch out for the pigeons getting ready to take your crumbs too, you can see them on the ledge of the building getting ready to attack. A must visit for Florence.

Racist owner randomly took my table and chair while I was eating on it to give to a Caucasian European couple. l'm an Asian female by the way. I showed him that my boyfriend was waiting in line to purchase food and constantly assured him we were using them and that we were buying food. He still took my table and chair and said I'll give you another one- to which it down graded to eating off 3 short chairs. I told the European couple that it wasn't fair that the server took our table to give to them and they just smiled and dismissed me. Racism at its finest. Their sandwich is not good. Actually the sandwich shop across the street I' Grone De Ghiotti is way better with service and sandwich taste. Sadly I don't think this post will change the attitude of the owner.
