Third time coming here and although I like the coffee and the ambiance is cool, the customer service threw me off. I stood at the counter for a couple of min until the girl noticed me and when she did there wasn't a greeting, she just went to the register and looked at me. When I got my coffee she just put it on counter and said "here you go". Just wish there was a little more of a greeting when I visited. read more

Great little local coffee shop, nice amount of seating. Cool local T shirts and hats. Cool surf vibe. Good tunes. I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but it was hot and good to me. I don't use cream or sugar any flavors. I've had just normal coffee and espresso and their cold brew. All very good. Better than the big chains to me. They have home made healthy snacks. The very nice (looking and personality) young Lady that was working here this afternoon was making oat protein balls when got here. read more

Went on a Saturday at 10 am, completely closed down. no sign saying why they were not open, no website posting. went 30 minutes out of the way to try their coffee and were left confused and disappointed. I understand having to close early for an emergency etc. but some kind of warning or explanation would have been nice. we also saw three other customers do the same thing as us. read more

OK, I wanna start this off by saying I've been to the location in downtown Melbourne and it's a great location this location however needs to get it together respectfully and I have a couple things I would like to note. Please keep this review in mind as it is coming from a paying customer. From the second, I walked through the doors. I was cut dirty. Looks from the two staff members at 9 AM on Thursday morning. I thought OK my bad I just want a coffee I'm so sorry and then there were about two people in there at the time and they seem to both be friends with the people who were working given the way that they were casually,and rudely talking to each other. But the employee was looking past me talking to her friend (who wasn't placing an order) for about 5 minutes ignoring me and not making any drinks or taking any orders, literally chatting with her homie. then when I went to order she was monotone and rolling her eyes and I really don't appreciate that seeing as I just wanted to get a coffee also the dude that was working literally wasn't helping I witnessed it because there were people waiting and he decided it was time to hang up some signs instead of helping with coffee or helping to take orders and I just think that their business approach needs to be looked at because the girl was doing everything and she was being rude, so I don't think she should be at the face of anything if you don't like what you do get a new job don't make it my problem at nine in the morning because you hate me for ordering a coffee I don't understand that logic. The coffee itself, I got one of their seasonal apple pie lattes, and it does not taste like they put love into it. In fact, I feel that they put hate in it but unfortunately, I cannot prove that. Also, the seating that was available was very not conducive to studying, which is typically what I like to use a coffee shop for the seating in the downtown. Location is much better. Please go to the downtown location. The one on Beachside is lazy rude and their coffee actually taste bad and I'm not just saying that to be mean like their coffee literally tastes bad. They also made me feel too awkward and uncomfortable to sit there and study that we decided to leave and go to Foxtail coffee for much better service and atmosphere. I have personally toured thousands of coffee shops across the world and Villon is my favorite. The black cold brew is unmatched. Jayden especially is what I would consider the "Michael Jordan" of coffee. She is to coffee what Steve Jobs is to computers. I look forward to my morning coffee at Villon whenever I am home. There is no second best. As a seasoned traveler often away, this is the home I long for and can't wait to return to. read more

they need new staff, not nice or friendly even if you are. their mood was already sour, but it became even more so after i didn't tip because of it. you're better off going to the downtown melbourne location, they're SO much better and i actually WANT to tip them :) tips come based off of service provided, maybe try that and you'll get some. coffee was mid at best, again villons downtown makes everything so much better read more

By far my favorite coffee shop around. I drive farther just to get it because no one else brews such strong coffee! They have something for everyone too; My kids love their protein bites. Service is typically great even when they're busy. I love getting their creative stickers too! read more

WOW WOW WOW !!!! My favorite hidden gem coffee shop how has officially opened their storefront next to where the food truck used to be! Upon walking in I could not wipe the smile from my face! This is one of our favorite coffee stops not only because their banana almond milk latte is to DIE FOR!..but also the vibes of the staff. Inside the coffee shop they have skateboards , clothing, surf boards, and more for sale. Onto the coffee and food. They have the same menu from their truck with a few new additions of quick bites. Once again, I HIGHLY recommend their banana almond milk latte. I've been to multiple coffee shops in Melbourne and no one has come close to their delicious lattes, especially beach side. That's my personal opinion though. Whether you're a local or visiting on vacation, make sure to stop by for a visit and give them a try. They have seating at the counter and then a large open center bar seating table for those who would like to sit and enjoy their coffee while reading or working. You'll find a few outside picnic tables where you can enjoy the beach side breeze. Support the local businesses! read more

I can in yesterday with my small dog, and my service was a 20/10. I asked if there was any kind of Bonded vanilla drink with caffeine.. WHEN I TELL YOU. It's my favorite coffee I've ever had! I actually don't like coffee but I really really needed some. It was delicious, did what I needed it to and was honestly my favorite coffee I've I've ever had. We were looking for an espresso coffee place after a couple hours paddling in the mangroves and around the Thousand Islands. This cheerful coffee truck Villon Coffee was exactly what we were hoping for! My hub had the mocha breve cappuccino, and I had a Dirty Chai. Yummmmmmm! SO happy to have discovered this groovy place. It's just overpriced and over hyped also hold the political views to the side. I was initially drawn to the edgy and fun DIY-looking exterior but this was a total disappointment: the employees were noticeably unfriendly and did not greet us nor did they let us know when our drinks were ready- they just silently placed them in a window while we looked around the shop & when we finally saw them the ice had melted and they were watery. I'd forgive if the drinks were good but unfortunately this was the worst and grittiest matcha latte I have ever had :( I wanted to love this place but they have some work to do! read more

My two sisters and I came here expecting a nice environment with good coffee. Despite having a negative experience with the employees last time we wanted to come again to give it another chance. Unfortunately once again we were disappointed with the attitude of the employees. They made the wrong drink for my sister (and made it hot when it was supposed to be iced) and when we asked them to remake it they dumped the wrong drink into a cup of ice and handed it back, telling us that if we wanted it iced we should've just ordered a cold brew (which is what we ordered - they made a latte.) And was upset when we asked for a remake and refused to do it. We wanted to to give the place another chance but after the same type of service the second time I had to leave a review for others looking to try a new coffee shop. read more
