They also have the haunted bathroom which is fun although I have to say I've never experienced it. If you need a new shop for unique gifts you should definitely check it out.

Well, actually it is, because it's full of cool stuff. Think gift shop + art shop + boutique curio, and maybe that *starts* to describe the space. There are plenty of keepsakes, art supplies, and gift ideas that will run your tab up very quickly. It's all good stuff, mind you, but it's almost like they should have an "I'll take one of everything package". The front of the store is mostly boutique-ish and has a small up and downstairs. You can find gifts for just about anyone, and this is the kind of place where you can stuff stockings or get something unique for that special someone. If you need ideas, then ask one of the staff who are always willing to help. If you need specifics in the art department, then there is a station in the back to help you with various items such as paper types or other supplies. The unique nature of some of the items leads to perhaps some higher prices, but the value is spot on. You're finding gifts, not clipping coupons, so enjoy and shop a little. For everything that you think might be marked a little high, just remind yourself that you probably aren't going to find that in very many other places. And that's the fun of shopping: just browsing when you have the time and maybe the resources, looking at things that you didn't know you were going to find, and in this case, helping a great small business thrive.

There's something for everyone from gemologists to astronomers at Wild Territory. I think of it as kind of a Discovery Channel store with a little more emphasis on real science and some kitsch throw in for good measure. Purely science-minded individuals probably disapprove when time pieces and the musculoskeletal system are combined, but if you think skeleton clocks are cool Wild Territory will be right up your alley. Personally, I don't think learning is ever a bad idea. After all I'm no scientist so I must have picked up the word musculoskeletal somewhere! If you can pick up a gift or something for yourself at Wild Territory that expands your mind - even a little bit - it could replace some of those dendrites you killed down the street at Free State, or the Granada, or Jackpot Saloon ...

I still have that one. I think next time I'll buy earrings that match the ring. I stop here every time I visit Lawrence. I like this store. It has not only bugs enclosed in plastic to wear as jewelry but it has sterling silver bugs as well, for earrings, and rings, and charms keychains. Infact, it has all kinds of stuff, not just buggy things. They have human parts, as well, like the brain jello mold I bought here. While I like the fossils and rocks, and body parts and some bugs, I also enjoy the oddities such as a cricket sucker.I'd never eat a cricket sucker, but I suppose it has protein in it. It's really a cool store, no where else like it. I visit this store if I had work in Lawrence, or if I happen to visit Lawrence, on Mass street. Mass. Street is my mega shopping extravaganza, and this is one of the awesome stores available.
