The interior is the same as always, while the available flavors are unpredictable, but a taste makes everything right in the world. Their flavor menu has been updated to indicate which flavors contain gluten and which ones don't. They also now have a protocol for those with strict gluten allergies. This time it was spring, so they didn't have my favorite Jalepeno Popper this time around. But they did have Lavender. For the second and third scoops we got Pistachio, followed by Butter Pecan. As a reminder, they use 14 percent buttermilk, and their ice cream emphasizes FLAVOR over sugar. Despite the high fat content, their ice cream doesn't feel heavy while you're eating it. Take that as a warning, since you might feel it after you consume too much. The Lavender was fantastically floral. The Pistachio was like eating Pistachios. Each flavor is exactly as described. Previously, I had also gotten my coworkers ice cream from here several years prior. Hand-packed into pints, you'll need a serious amount of self-control to avoid finishing them in a single sitting. They've also opened up a location in DeWitt Mall on the Seneca Street side of the commons.

I ordered pistachio, and there were a ton of pistachios in it, although it was green which to me means they put artificial colors in their ice cream, and it was a bit heavy for me. I was like that's kinda odd, strawberry and chocolate milk in a stand alone fridge? I ended up buying the strawberry milk and Holy Moses, this was the easily the best strawberry milk I ever had. I also noticed it was pretty expensive, it was a small container for around $4.50 but I bought it anyway and wow was it worth a buy. It was so good, it was so good it actually made me make my way to their actual farm and take god their milk was cheaper at the farm. I also asked since I noticed the employees were wearing very distinct clothing if they were Amish? The employee said it was similar but they were Mennonites. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=Y_iTTjKvV5hLy-880SZzlA&select=FJpVePPXalf0iGdM0UXSng The food: Strawberry Milk- This is a must get item. It was $5.75 for a half gallon. I loved the strawberry flavor of the milk and I love the creamy texture of the milk. Chocolate Milk- I think this was a great chocolate milk but not as distinctive as the strawberry milk. Strawberry Ice Cream- This very similar to the strawberry milk, but not as rich a creamy as the milk. I enjoyed this but the milk is my favorite item.

It wasn't just us, either; we overheard two other customers complaining about the exact same issue. When we brought this up, the owner became upset and defensive. He claimed he tasted it himself and completely disagreed that it tasted sour. Despite his attitude, he did offer us a choice between a replacement or a refund. I opted for the refund, but instead of simply processing it, he became judgmental and started interrogating me about why I had eaten some of the ice cream before asking for my money back. If multiple customers are telling you your product tastes bad, arguing with them and then guilt-tripping them for accepting a refund *you* offered is terrible customer service. I took the refund and went to another shop 3 mins north, which has better ice cream. To give them credits, they are conveniently located across the Trumansburg fair and the hard ice cream was decent.

Imagine asking, "What would an ice cream stand be like if it were crossed with a fine FLX winery in a beautiful farm setting?"--that's exactly the vibe here. Elevated, serene, and absolutely delicious. The facility and grounds are immaculate, with a peaceful, pastoral atmosphere that makes you want to linger. The staff was warm and welcoming, and they generously offered samples so we could explore the flavors before committing (dangerous, because they're all incredible). We ultimately chose three flavors: * Cookie Monster (Real Cookies & Cream) -- Their take on cookies & cream is next‑level. It's built on their handcrafted vanilla cream base and loaded with hearty chunks of their own legendary chocolate chip cookies. Think of an ice cream sandwich turned inside out--rich, decadent, and deeply satisfying. * Fleur Bleu -- A gorgeous blend of local organic blueberries, subtle French lavender, and their classic vanilla cream. It's delicate, floral, and beautifully balanced. This one kept us slowing down each bite just to savor the nuance. * Ditch Mint Chip -- Made with hand‑picked fresh mint and dark chocolate chips. Bright, refreshing, and leagues above the artificial mint flavor you get elsewhere. It was excellent, though admittedly overshadowed by the other two standouts. The frozen custard itself is among the best we've ever tasted--rich, creamy, and unbelievably smooth thanks to their signature use of local duck eggs. Even the vanilla base was a sleeper hit, with a depth of flavor you don't expect until it hits you. The setting is perfect for a Finger Lakes outing. Whether you're spending the day visiting wineries, hiking the gorges and waterfalls, or just exploring the region, you need to make this a stop on your route.
