$17 for toilet paper....what a nice little "community" grocery store....didn't notice until I got home....never thought to even glance at price....I thought only the lowest of the low on eBay were doing that aaaaand they were stopped...won't be setting foot in that store again....bye bye Village Criminals

Well-built and visually pleasing entrance.

Usually when you go through Scituate Harbor, you will always see it. This is our local grocery store. Indeed from the outside it looks average. Like any other small town grocery. Its when you walk inside that you see that it is something special. The Village market has everything you could ever need from a grocery store. Note that i said need. There are plenty of what i call leisure items (chips, candy, soda, junkfood ect.) that might not be there, but there is plenty to satisfy your wants and needs. There is even a salad station. They have a large area specifically for alcohol. They have all kinds. Plenty of beer and wine for everyone! The staff is friendly and the prices are average. If you are from out of town, this is a great place to shop for things on the go.

Great selection of foods. Meat always good. Helpful staff. The only time I go to Shaws is when I need the particular cat food my cats need.

Rude customer service. I called to ask a question and the lady on the phone was very rude.

So happy I don't have to drive all the way back to the mega grocery store to grab things I forgot.

This is without a doubt one of the oddest Stop & Shop's I've ever been in. It's small - not as…read moresmall as the former S&S in Manomet, but smaller than most. But that makes it fairly easy to navigate - except that they've been renovating bit by bit, so I still can't find anything without staring at the ceiling signs. And the reno has widened some aisles, made other areas appear bigger & brighter while simultaneously shrinking the area contents - it's sorcery, I guess. Their parking lot is now shared with the apartments and retail opposite the store so there are fewer spaces but there are also fewer customers than there used to be in years past. I guess that's why I find myself checking every single sell-by date since I've brought home way too many stale cupcakes, squishy tomatoes and questionable deli purchases from this store. And I do stare at the ceiling signs while wandering through, because most of the employees roam the store acting as if the few customers are invisible. Which in itself is fine - except I'd love an acknowledgement from one employee when I'm trying to get someone's attention to ask one question. I know they're employees because they speak to each other, just not . . me? High marks for cleanliness in this store, just not 5 stars because it's very off-putting that the employees are so detached. That seems to be the norm though in other S&S's as well, so maybe it's just a thing they learn to do? And the deli lady isn't as mean as she used to be, so that's a plus too.

Their delivery service is awesome! I've been injured awhile…read morenow. They carry my groceries up for me, and are just so nice. I've never had a bad experience here.

Tree Berry Farm is near my in-laws, so it was a quick trip down the road. Thankfully, parking is in a grass lot off the main road, and you aren't expect to play Frogger with fast-moving cars on RR 123. There's lots of signage showing you where to park, where to pick up a bucket, and which sections are open for picking. Even at the height of blueberry picking, with lots of families around, there was still plenty of space to spread out, and lots of blueberries to go around! Jamie and I picked for about 15-20 minutes. If you're going to be there longer (i.e., if you have small kids), bring sunscreen and water! You pay at the same place you pick up (and return) your bucket. At $4 a pound, it can't be beat! We got about 2 pints worth of blueberries for that price. And the wonderful thing is, the flavor is far superior to that of the produce department at your local grocery store. They lasted a long time, too! For tourists and locals alike, blueberry picking is a must, and I can't recommend any place other than Tree Berry on the South Shore. It's the most organized and has the best blueberries anywhere!

A neighbor recommended their house made dips, one is feta/cream cheese, the other bruschetta/tomatoes, and both are great. My lovely wife said of the bruschetta, it's the perfect thing to always have in the house in case someone drops in! I'd say it's a specialty food shop that has a little of everything. Prepared sides, full deli, tons of sandwich options, cooler of fresh local meats, curated desserts they ship in, great wine and beer selection, and more. Have been in several times now to supplement dinners with their sides. I didn't realize I had been talking to the owner, Mary, and she explained how they came to select the dessert vendor... and we've been back three times to try as many desserts as possible! My wife and kids love the mud pie (so skip that - more for us), tiramisu is my favorite. She explained their selection process and care extended to everything on the shelves and in the coolers! Spot checked the wines and several of our favorites are there, but they'll order whatever you like. Great service, and love that's it 5-minutes from home!
