The interior of the place looks recently renovated, and its beautiful with white and marble decorations everywhere. The other attendees were walking around taking photos of the place. As the name implies, it does have a crystal fountain. It's a little bit underwhelming, but it does make a great centerpiece. We had a buffet style continental breakfast and lunch, and food was served along the edges of the fountain. I read a comment on here about how the chairs were nice enough to not be decorated and I completely agree! Their tables and chairs required very little decoration as it's already really nice. The only thing that was a bit strange was that the main washrooms were upstairs, and they weren't particularly nice either. They do have washrooms on the main floor but they're quite small (two stalls each).

The venue itself was unique, easy to find on King Street, and had lots of space to move around in - there were two floors that we had access to. Loved the solarium area of the upstairs part of the space, which had lighted trees set up in it and overlooked a gorgeous little parkette with a water fall. They also had amazing pieces of art on the wall and had tables set up with various colour schemes for consideration. We were also treated to many passed appetizers they make in house while viewing the space. All were very good however my fave were the crispy wrapped shrimp, so delicious! The staff representing the venue were very friendly and polite, making sure we were attended to and answering any questions we had. A great venue to look into if you would like to throw a party in a unique space in Toronto with great food/drink options!

It was a nice venue, but definitely had some flaws…read more Venue: It definitely looks beautiful, and to be able to find a venue with a rustic feel right in the city is nice. There's affordable parking around the area. It was awkward to be told that the coat checks are at the back of the venue, because you had to walk down the aisle and basically walk all the way to where the groom is getting ready. The chairs were not the most comfortable, and they were wooden, so they were quite noisy. Also, there is not a lot of seating, so many people are standing in the front area, even thought it was probably a wedding of less than 75 guests. The upper dining areas is nice; the solarium was bright and beautiful. However, the shape of the dining area is a giant ring, which means there isn't really a central place for the wedding couple/family to sit. Staff: Friendly staff, however they need to work on their attentiveness. Half of the table I was seated at was served, coffee/tea and the other half didn't get served. And no one was checking in on us. When we finally got the attention of one of the people, he directed us to ask a server instead (guess he wasn't a server?!). Food: Very good food. Enjoyed the meal very much. Overall, it is more like a 3.5 out of 5.

As with most live events, there was a lot of moving parts involved but we were able to lean into their expertise, trust their guidance and pulled off something very impressive. In fact our event at Brighton was so impressive that it's lead to other opportunities for our small business. We hope to make our June show a yearly tradition at Brighton and look forward to partnering with them again in the future.

My office Christmas party was held at Maple Banquet Hall last Thursday. It started at 11 am and…read morelasted for a few hours. This banquet hall is located in the same plaza as Zauq, which is a couple of stores down. Parking can be extremely busy, so it was recommended to carpool with colleagues. I drove my intern over here. We had no problem finding a parking spot steps away from the main entrance. The banquet hall is pretty. Flowers in vases greet you. We had a check-in reception area a few steps away from the main entrance. Our office has roughly 200 people. We all fit in nicely at Empress Hall. It had huge, round tables that were nicely decorated. There were a couple of Lindt chocolates for each guest. Nice! Meals were buffet-style. I chose the perfect table. Ours was one of the first ones called by number to hit the food lineup. Yay! The food is mostly Italian. I enjoyed the penne pasta with veggies. I loved the roasted chicken with mushroom sauce. There were veggies. The round roasted potatoes were so good. There was also an eggplant parmigiana for folks who requested a vegetarian meal. Our manager said to the female server that he wasn't a vegetarian, but wanted one. She denied his request, which was kind of funny, but made sense. The food was yummy. I was stuffed, but wanted dessert. I went overboard with my plate of sweets. I got two freshly baked cookies. They were the best and tasted homemade. I also indulged in chocolate cake, a Portuguese egg tart, and carrot cake. To make it look like I was eating healthy, I got some cantaloupe slices, to balance my guilt out a bit. We had pitchers of water and Coke at our table. I tend to drink Diet Coke, as regular Coke is too sweet. This pitcher was watered down that I was good with it. I was probably the only person who drank it. There was juice, coffee, and tea behind us. I got this fruity juice drink that was yummy. We had games and raffles afterwards. This hall is roomy for all these activities. We were supposed to have a dance. I have a feeling that we had all eaten so much that we simply couldn't budge. There are two sets of washrooms for men and women at this banquet hall. They were clean and the mirrors were big. It was a perfect venue for our Christmas party. My team had a ton of fun. It's a good seven-minute drive from work, which is a bonus. (471)

I think the main attraction is that it is cheap to host an event. The food is ok and the service is meh. Washrooms I will not even comment! For whatever reason, I am at the banquet hall at least twice a year on my family's request. Yay for me. I would recommend other banquet halls in the area versus this one.

The main reception hall is quite large, with a ceiling height of at least 20 feet. The reception I attended had nearly 400 guests, and it didn't feel crowded at all. It had very nice lighting and fixtures and good ornamental touches. It wouldn't require very much extra decorating for anyone hosting. The built-in sound system was very clear and did the job well. On thing which doesn't necessarily affect guests, but they should still address is how incredibly slick and greasy the kitchen floors were. I was brining in some ornaments through the back and cut through the kitchen and I felt as though I could've slid through it like Tom Cruise in Risky Business. It's a big risk to the kitchen staff and a possible WSIB claim if they don't address it. I don't imagine the place is cheap, but it hits all the points one would be looking for in hosting a large reception.

The servers were quite rude in cleaning up the tables.

We made a call, and it was the best decision we've ever made. There are two numbers to call, both are answered promptly. I was given a quote on the spot, and let me tell you it was a deal. From beginning to end, planning was made a breeze as Jey made everything so seamless. It is stressful trying to plan your big day but Jey made this an incredible experience for not only us but our guests and vendors as well. The options he has for decor, food, alcohol, in house lighting and speakers, table numbers, and so much more are endless. You won't even need to book additional decor (did I mention he has a floral arch and a piano?). Jey is a busy man, but he remains attentive to your needs and wants for your event. We were amazed at his willingness to help and adjust if there is something missing. His staff are also top tier and can handle a CROWD. (Especially the bartender that night, he held it down) On our event day, not only did Jey help the floor manager throughout the event, he was also monitoring the event ensuring that everything is going as planned and really going the extra mile to ensure that the guests are satisfied. Our guests very thoroughly enjoyed their food and desserts, beautifully set up by the team at Claireport. Thank you Jey for everything and we will come back to you for more anniversaries, birthdays or any other event we'd need your help with. You and your staff are amazing.
