i was here for a wedding, the venue is pretty, the garden/fountain is neatly manicured and well taken care of. I wish i could say the same for the glassware, there were a couple whiskey glasses that had jagged edges, which is super dangerous; for an venue this expensive, I would hope there's attention to detail for this. Food was average (lobster roll/tomato bisque for appetizer, duck for entree - duck was cooked perfectly - skin was crispy, meat was tender, sorbet/tiramisu for dessert), service was very slow. read more

After all the beautiful weddings I've seen shot at Graydon Hall, it was on the top of my list to visit for my wedding venue search. When it got to my time to shop for wedding venues, I booked an appointment and met with the coordinator. The appointment did not disappoint. The venue is very beautiful, just like the photos with lush garden, beautiful fountain, and an air of dreaminess. The manor itself is very spacious and there is lots of photo opportunities. Even just coming here for a photo session is worth it in my opinion (and more affordable). The neighbourhood isn't as nice as the manor, it's stuck beside an apartment building which is kind of interesting but can easily be avoided in your outdoor pictures. read more

I'm perhaps the last person you should ask about reviewing this kind of venue... Only because I've NEVER been a guest. As my readers already know, I'm a thoroughly bitter and jaded working musician. I've played weddings both inside and out at this venue, and I even "pretended" to be a musician for the filming of a Nakita episode. It's beautiful. The little interaction I had with the staff has always been excellent. As for the food, I've seen a lot of plates go by, and have tasted NONE. The appys however are excellent. The grounds feature a lovely stone courtyard for parking of your crystal carriage or limo. The garden features a large fountain which provides plenty of masking noise for acoustic musicians like myself. (I often wonder if the guests can hear us at all during cocktail hour) As well as a long, yet intimate garden very suitable for outdoor processions. There are great stone walls and exterior features for bright airy wedding pictures as well as rich and dark wooden interiors for the same if your photographer is a master of his/her flashes. This was my first time Officiating a wedding ceremony here and, my, oh my... what an astonishingly beautiful venue! The gardens are simply spectacular, reminiscent of the gardens at Versailles. The outdoor ceremony was stunning set against the manicured lawns and majestic fountain. The staff were energetic and professional and Madison was very cheerful, helpful and friendly. I've been here twice now, once for a ceremony and another for a reception. Both times the service, food, and ambiance have been spectacular. I can see why this is a popular choice in the wedding crowd! The people here work extremely hard to ensure the experience is perfect. The ceremony had a possibility of rain, so they had set up both indoors and outdoors just in case. The reception was packed full with 13 tables, which is probably their max, but the meals came out quickly and still hot and still cooked perfectly. It's mind-boggling people, when your table is one of the last few served and your steak is still juicy and perfectly pink inside at a wedding reception. Now, the place isn't cheap, but for those looking for a slightly more intimate experience for their wedding, this is probably a good option. My husband and I got married at Graydon Hall Manor on August 9, 2014. The day of our wedding couldn't have been any better which wouldn't have been possible without the team at Graydon Hall. We were first interested in Graydon Hall after seeing photos of the venue on their website. Seeing it in person only confirmed what we had thought; Graydon Hall is stunning and just the perfect setting to get married in. From the grounds, to the rooms for the bridal party with their windows overlooking the gardens; everything about Graydon Hall is elegant and sophisticated. Luckily for us, they had a cancellation and we were able to score a Saturday in the middle of the summer. Although Graydon Hall is undeniably beautiful, it is the service that sets it apart. Right from the start we met Jacqueline Rogers, who became our Event Designer and day-of-assistant. She was always available to answer the hundreds of questions we had, and filled us with confidence leading up to our big day. On the day itself she did a fabulous job coordinating all of our vendors, ensuring that our needs were being met and solving any problems that had arisen. In addition, all of the staff were fabulous. The service provided on our wedding day was beyond our expectations. Everyone was polite, attentive, patient and truly professional. They even stayed behind late to help our vendors clean up the décor after the reception. No review or commentary about Graydon Hall would ever be complete without mentioning the Food (it earns a capital F). The Food at the venue was incredible. Chef did an amazing job preparing everything, and we had all of our guests, including about 60 New Yorkers, raving. It was even more amazing given that Chef made everything Gluten Free to accommodate me. The last thing I would say about the venue is that it has an amazing reputation among vendors, and all of the people we found were excited to be working for a wedding that was being held there. Graydon Hall and its garden is absolutely beautiful and elegant and I can't really imagine holding our wedding and reception anywhere else. It was the first venue we visited and none of the other venues we visited afterwards could compare. There are certain aspects of the manor that may require some repairs but overall it is a gorgeous gem that is tucked in around apartment buildings. We had a rough time with planning our wedding with Graydon Hall. From the time we signed the contract to the actual wedding, our event coordinator changed 3x over 14 months. It was pretty unsettling and people changing jobs can't be avoided but it definitely reaffirmed that we needed to hire our own wedding planner because we couldn't rely solely on the GHM coordinator to take care of everything. We also found the turnaround time for email responses were a bit slow and could sometimes takes weeks, and then response times were better closer to the date. GHM is also not very flexible in terms of negotiating anything. The food is delicious and the portion sizes are HUGE. All of our guests were impressed by the meal and we were pleased that everything was exactly the same as our tasting. The wait staff is also incredibly attentive and made sure lunch was served quickly and smoothly. While we had some hiccups during the planning process, the day itself was still executed perfectly and we couldn't be happier with how amazing our wedding day turned out. read more

Just came back for a great wedding at Graydon Hall and wow easily one of the best Food & Service experiences I've had this year and I'm not comparing this to other weddings, I'm comparing to a fine dining experience. Kudos to the chefs, cooks and servers here.... Impeccable. Salad on point. Ravioli dish decedent, my main with beef on beef: sirloin topped with braised beef with potato galette and cauliflower croquettes was ridiculous. Out of this world, never once did I feel my drink was low, timing of courses was perfect and the taste, flavourful, temperature all perfect. My first time here and hope to return soon. read more

Beautiful venue for a wedding if you're looking to go the classy, upscale route. This is a restored mansion, so it's got a little bit of a creep factor. The main washrooms are on the second floor so that was a bit of a bummer. The food was so-so, but I think it's catered in, so I can't really judge based on the food here. The service was only so-so as well. The bartenders were a tad smug. Our table was situated at the back and I only got my wine topped off once - and I had to ask. Our table had to be cleared immediately after dessert to make room for the dance floor which is slightly annoying because then.. when the latenight stuff and coffee was served, we had no where to sit.. We are so glad we picked Graydon Hall for our wedding! The food is excellent! They even knew we would be really busy on the day and sent food to our rooms so we wouldn't go hungry! The staff at Graydon Hall did everything they could to make our day perfect! We had a long list of small tasks for them and they executed each one! They set up our candy bar the way we asked, they got our table seating chart and actually cut the edges so it would fit into the frame we had. The most amazing thing about their service was, when at the end of the night, I went over to start packing things up, the staff told me to go back and enjoy my night. When the night was over, they had boxed up everything and packed it into our limo (Yes! Everything was accounted for when we got home)!!! People may tell you that the venue is expensive, but you definitely get what you for and it ends up being worth every penny! If you are thinking about getting married here, ask for Jacqueline! She is an amazing event designer!! We didn't have a wedding planner, so we sent her 1,000 emails with so many small requests and she was just on it! She even did research for us when we were looking for specific things for the wedding! On the day of, she got down and was running everywhere to make the day go smooth! She even helped the boys put on their boutonniere and fixed their pocket squares for them. She will 100% make your dream wedding come to life! Graydon Hall made every little detail go so smoothly! Graydon Hall Manor reminds me of when I designed...The room we ( Michael Batterbee and Associates ) did was their conservatory/greenhouse, rounded at one end if I remember correct with arched transom over every window on 3 sides, French doors to a terrace) a very abused, rough marble floor we had to have ground down and re-polished. This place is heavily OVERRATED! Honestly the pictures are incredibly deceiving on the graydon hall website. When I first saw it online I thought 'wow this place is stunning, I must have my wedding here.' That Immediately changed when I met with one of the coordinators. I believe that her name was Ashley Yim or Yin, I cannot recall exactly. But the tour that she provided my fiance, my two bridesmaids and myself was rushed and appalling. The information she shared with us was very crammed; it was basically the pamphlet she was reading from of graydon hall which I could have read myself. We also felt like she was going through the tour session rapidly in order to get rid of us. She was aware that my fiance and I were on a budget beforehand ( at least we thought she was, we outlined this when we made our appointment on the phone for a tour and as all couples are on a budget, this is naturally considered a norm). She gave off the impression that we were cheap/poor. Because she gave off that vibe I think she did not even want to try to sell the place to us because she felt that she would not earn a commission or what not. We had told her that we wanted to have a wedding for a budget of 30 K (which I find more than generous, many people won't even spend that much) and she told us that it would be "tight" but yet when I spoke to the person on the phone to arrange a meeting with a graydon hall coordinator they said it can definitely be done and many of their clients request this, without the emphasis of it being "tight." She constantly used the term "cheap" numerous times when describing alternatives to accommodate us, this really turned me off. I thought to myself; I wouldn't want my big day to be regarded as cheap and insignificant. That is pretty much how she outlined it the whole session with her...cheap and tight. I wish I was exaggerating but my two bridesmaids who were there with me felt as strongly about the way she worded everything as I did. Just her demeanor and tone of voice said a lot about her character. She was very condescending and standoffish. As a business professional she failed to market a service and regardless of a client's budget there is always potential to earn a client even if they have their eye set on something else. Perhaps if she was more approachable and humble we would have potentially given it a chance? Maybe convincing us could have worked and we may have arranged a wedding here by perhaps extending our budget if we fell in love with it. We shall never know. The actual house is not as large as I expected. It only looks this way from the outside. It's definitely more squished and small on the inside. It is divided into several small rooms which makes it for an unappealing venue for a large group of people. That is the aspect that I found to make it appear miniature in size. Way too many rooms for many insignificant uses. The actual venue itself does not capture the classic vintage Victorian feeling like I had imagined through the photos. It reminded me more of a outdated pioneer home. Yes it was supposedly classic, but to the point where it looked like it needed tweaking and renovations. Probably the only upsideof the place was the front area of the house, it is spacious and represents that castle-like feel. What the pictures also failed to deliver is that the back of the manor house is a fairly spacious scene with grass but it hits what resembles a grey school steel fence. Almost looked like a penitentiary fence to be honest. Which to my dismay faces a public sidewalk, eliminating that segregated private feel. At the time of this viewing, a dog was being walked by their owner with what appeared to be his daily ritual of defecating on the grass on the opposite side of the fence. Although graydon hall is situated in a quieter region of residences, the fact that any one could pass through to allow their dog to defecate on the grass nearby may as well be observed as defecating on your big day. I recently hosted my wedding at Graydon Hall Manor, and could not have been more thrilled with the entire experience. From our first meeting until our wedding day, our coordinator Madison Winters was a joy to work with. She artfully helped us to execute our vision and guided us through the planning process. Her expertise and professionalism was especially appreciated on the day of our wedding. I felt so confident that I could approach her with any concerns knowing that she would be available to provide a solution. I also realize now that there were a few glitches that occurred behind the scenes and she managed to sort through it all without me having to know at the time. I am so appreciative of this. Madison also corresponded with me in the weeks leading up to the wedding when she was away on vacation - I think this is the definition of going above and beyond! Throughout the whole experience I felt confident that Madison understood our vision and knew how to help us bring it to life in the context of our venue. The service and meals were exceptional. Several of our guests commented that they felt the meal was the best they have ever had at a wedding. This means so much to us as hosts. I truly can't recommend Graydon Hall Manor enough. just went to a wedding at graydon hall the past month. i would have to say their food is one of the best in house catering i've been to. cod was amazing, service was great. excellent venue for banquets. their in house dj as well, man he was on point with the music selection and transitions, the dance floor was occupied from the get go. didn't get to ask for his card, but i know some other guests did. the crowd was hyped and rowdy. great evening throughout. just a minor comment, some servers were clearing plates when food was half done and the guest wasn't in their seat, probably would want to wait and ask before taking it, we've loved to finish the food all the way! read more

My husband Mark and I got married here on April 23, 2016. Graydon Hall Manor is by far the BEST venue to have your wedding at in the GTA!! My husband Mark and I were beyond pleased about having our wedding there. There are certain aspects to planning your wedding where you try to "cheapen out" with because it can be quite expensive, but cheapening out on your wedding venue should not be one of them! The venue you choose really sets the tone of your wedding; you should not settle! My husband and I checked out other venues, and almost settled on a couple because of their price; however, in the end, we realized we would be settling and that did not sit right with us. The minute we stepped into GHM we knew it was the place we wanted. Madison Winters was our wedding co-ordinator and we just completely lucked out with her. I love Madison to pieces! The minute she became our wedding co-ordinator, it was lights out, just so awesome from that moment on. She was so attentive, accommodating, kind, fun, and just plain helpful. I'd like to think of myself as a chill bride, definitely not bridezilla quality, but in this one moment I remember where I got stressed (especially since I was own my wedding planner lol), I remember Madison comforting me and saying she would help me with such resolve and sincerity that I remember just calming down immediately. And she totally delivered I must say! I loved my wedding so much! Aside from Madison, the staff was AMAZING!! They are wonderful people who bend over backwards to make your experience a great one! They are so nice, so please treat them well if you choose to have your wedding here. For those who tend to stress out over the details, you most likely will not if you have your wedding at GHM. They are beyond exceptional. Oh, and did I mention the food?? OMG!! The best food EVER!
