I think the service here is the best compared to other coffee places I have tried. The girls here are so kind and good at what they do. I always look forward to my daily iced white mocha. Since I have come here so often, sometimes the girls have my drink ready by the time I pull up to the window without having to order! It's just a good feeling to know I am spending money on drinks that I know will be right every time! For whatever reason, if they ever forget anything or accidentally miss something in my drink, I feel comfortable kindly letting them know, and they are always happy and willing to do that for their customers! I recommend this place for any coffee lovers looking for a quick and friendly service.

However, my recent experiences have been consistently disappointing. Over my last five visits, I've had to wait anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes, often with no communication from staff. Today (4/15/26), I arrived around 4:25 PM. The open sign was on, and there was no note indicating a delay. I waited about 12 minutes total, even honking after 5 minutes and again after another 5, but received no response. When another car pulled in behind me, the barista (Sara) came out, but there was no acknowledgment or apology for the wait. Additionally, I've noticed inconsistent pricing when ordering the same drink I've been getting for years. For example, I've been charged different amounts on multiple occasions when Sara is working, and I've had to question and clarify the total more than once. Today, I was initially told $8.07, but after discussing it, the charge was adjusted again. At this point, the long wait times, lack of communication, and inconsistent pricing have made the experience frustrating enough that I won't be returning. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as this used to be a place I really enjoyed.

I've been wanting to try this place & finally went today. They have a large selection of donuts +…read morecinnamon rolls and also offer savory options that you could heat up: breakfast burritos, sausage rolls, empanadas, etc. I ordered a classic maple bar and what I thought was a pistachio donut (I asked and the employee confirmed it was pistachio). When I got home it was actually a full on blueberry donut inside with green frosting on top. I'm not a fan of blueberry baked goods so that was disappointing. The empanada somewhat made up for it. I got the Chilean pino since that was the only flavor left. I had never heard of the flavor (and neither did the employee). It was delicious...but over toasted. Next time I will just heat up the empanada at home to avoid this. I would return for the empanadas. It would be nice if the donuts had signage for the flavors and/or if the employees were knowledgeable on what they are selling so customers like myself don't go home with mystery flavors!

Crown Donuts - Maple Valley, WA…read more I stopped in and grabbed a half dozen and honestly... every single one hit. What I picked: 3 blueberry cake donuts 2 Fruity Pebbles raised donuts with white icing 1 cinnamon sugar twist The verdict: The blueberry cake donuts were fantastic. Not dry. Not crumbly. Not overly sweet. Just soft, balanced, and exactly what a cake donut should be. The Fruity Pebbles raised donut with white icing though? Exceptional. Light, fluffy, perfectly iced, and nostalgic in the best way. The kind of donut where you take a bite and immediately look back at the box like... okay, who's next? The cinnamon sugar twist was classic and comforting. Fresh, generously coated, and exactly what you want from a simple donut done right. Bonus points: The atmosphere was great. Bright, welcoming, and unhurried. The short-term parking out front made popping in easy (and felt brand new ), and the staff were kind enough to let me look-e-loo for a minute while I stood there happily overwhelmed by the choices. If you're in Maple Valley and craving donuts that are actually worth the stop, Crown Donuts is absolutely it. No gimmicks. Just really good donuts made well. Nothing like a sweet treat after a 500 + burn workout to refuel. No one is looking. Eat more donuts.

CHAYEN COFFEE: AN IDENTITY CRISIS IN CAFFEINE FORM…read more Let me start by saying their Vietnamese coffee is an absolute masterpiece - the condensed milk ratio is so perfect it could make a barista weep tears of perfectly filtered water. BUT CAN WE ADDRESS THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM? This is NOT, I repeat, NOT the wild west-themed Wyoming coffee experience my brain desperately wanted it to be. Do you understand my disappointment when I walked in, fully decked out in my authentic 1880s frontier attire, spurs jingling with anticipation, only to discover there wasn't a single piece of barbed wire decor or vintage Wyoming license plate in sight? I had practiced my frontier coffee ordering accent for WEEKS. "One black coffee, pardner" - WASTED. Their egg coffee? Transcendent. The way they blend the egg yolk creates a custard-like texture that's basically heaven in liquid form. BUT WHERE ARE THE HISTORICAL PHOTOS OF CHEYENNE'S FIRST RAILROAD DEPOT? I brought my great-grandfather's Union Pacific timetables for NOTHING. Sure, their premium tea selection would make an emperor bow in respect, but let's talk about what's really important: I came here fully expecting to learn about Wyoming's territorial history while sipping coffee from a tin cup. Instead, I'm drinking from elegant ceramic cups with actual proper temperature control. THE AUDACITY. The staff's expertise in traditional Vietnamese brewing methods is outstanding, absolutely. But you know what they CAN'T tell me? The exact date when Cheyenne's first saloon opened. I had an entire conversation prepared about 19th-century Wyoming coffee consumption patterns. My research about frontier coffee grinding techniques? USELESS. Their cold brew is steeped for exactly 18 hours to achieve optimal flavor complexity. Whatever. I spent 18 hours creating a historically accurate map of 1867 Cheyenne's coffee shops (there were none - it was all saloons) for this visit. Now what am I supposed to do with it? Five stars for their phenomenal coffee program - their traditional Vietnamese brewing techniques are flawless. But MINUS several imaginary stars for not being the niche Wyoming-themed establishment my geographically confused brain invented. I've started a support group for other people who came here expecting to discuss Wyoming territorial governance while drinking coffee. We meet weekly at the library's Wyoming history section, sipping their excellent Vietnamese coffee and coming to terms with our misplaced expectations. P.S. I heard they're adding new seasonal drinks next month. I'm trying really hard not to assume they're named after Wyoming landmarks. (But if they want my list of potential frontier-themed beverage names, I have 47 pages ready to go.) P.P.S. The pastries are amazing too, though distinctly lacking in sourdough biscuits and frontier trail mix. But seriously, their croissants are so good I almost forgot about my planned dissertation on the role of coffee in the Wyoming Stock Growers Association circa 1884. Note: To the staff who patiently explained that "Chayen" is not a misspelling of "Cheyenne" - I apologize for bringing in my detailed presentation about Wyoming state capitol architecture. But I still think your excellent coffee would taste even better served in a tin cup next to a replica stagecoach. Just saying.
