After living here for about a year, my wife and I can confidently say that this community has become exactly that for us. From the very beginning, Shae and Alex made us feel welcome. What stands out most is not just that they are professional and helpful, but that they genuinely care. Whenever we have had a question, concern, or request, they have always taken the time to listen and make us feel that what matters to us matters to them as well. Over the past year, that level of care has remained consistent. It is easy to be friendly during move-in, but it means much more when that same kindness, patience, and willingness to help continues month after month. Shae and Alex have created an atmosphere where residents feel respected, valued, and comfortable reaching out when they need something. That makes a huge difference in everyday life and is one of the main reasons we are so happy living here. We are truly thankful to have found this community and especially grateful for everything Shae and Alex do to make it feel like home.

They ask you to sign a form that essentially puts you on the hook for anywhere between 3000 to 8000 up to $10,000 for the granite that is within your apartment. They try to make you feel like it is easy to maintain but the thing is that they use cheap granite which very easily stains over the years from minor water alone. Basically, you end up paying for poor quality granite that is bought in cheaper bulk by the leasing company contractors but then you end up having the granite staining over many years from normal wear and tear and get charged for very expensive granite. There have been a few people that tried to take the apartment complex to claims court when they were sent exorbitant charges upon move out but unfortunately, these tenants lost these cases . Although it is somewhat helpful to have pictures of the granite prior to leaving the apartment and upon initial inspection, it is inevitable in many cases that be able to maintain the granite long enough for you to not have even minor damage to the granite. To make matters worse the company will tell you that the bathroom and the kitchen as a set so even though you might have minor damage in one area you'll be required to replace the whole thing in both rooms which can cost many thousands of dollars please be careful and please do not sign those forms regarding the granites or consider getting a different apartment. Please stay away from this predatory leasing company.

Before Chambers Property Management, I honestly felt like I was on my own. I technically had a…read moreproperty manager, but actually getting help was another story. Questions would come up and I'd either get no response or something super vague days later. After a while, I just stopped asking and hoped nothing went wrong, which isn't exactly comforting when real money is involved. Once Chambers took over, that changed pretty quickly. Now when I have a question, I ask it and I get a real answer. Not days later. Not after following up multiple times. Just a normal, timely response like you would expect. It sounds basic, but it made a huge difference. What really stood out to me was how approachable they are. I've asked about lease stuff, tenant situations, random landlord questions, even things I probably should already know. I never felt rushed, brushed off, or made to feel dumb for asking. There were also times I reached out about things that weren't urgent at all or weren't technically their issue yet. They still helped me think it through and gave honest input. That was unexpected and genuinely appreciated. At this point, I don't feel like I'm guessing anymore. I don't feel stuck or unsure every time something small comes up, and that peace of mind alone is worth a lot. Thank you Chambers Property Management!

I live in the bay but own a property in Fresno. My experience with my previous property manager…read morewas a nightmare. Instead of managing and stabilizing my building, I lost money every month and my stress level was out of control. My priors manager's communication was terrible and to make things worse they were also unapologetic and unprofessional. I think the latter may have actually pissed me off more. After my frustrating experience, I spent a lot of time researching for a better property manager. After interviewing Kendra, I decided to switch to Chambers, and the difference has been unimaginable. Kendra and her team have been nothing short of amazing. They are incredibly professional, responsive, and genuinely make me feel valued as a client. Kendra's communication is excellent, she's quick to respond and always keeps me informed. The level of service she provides has given me peace of mind, something I desperately needed. I also appreciate having Chambers PM, specifically Kendra, to serve as a resource. My other properties are in Oakland and Walnut Creek, which is currently out of their service area, so I self-manage those rentals. And any time I have question about landlording or just need a second set of eyes on a tenant application, Kendra is willing to offer her expert advice, even though those properties aren't being managed by Chambers (yet! when/if they come to the Bay, those properties will be managed by Chambers.) My tenants are also much happier now. Kendra doesn't waste any time finding reliable tenants to fill vacancies whenever I may have one and her attention to detail has made property ownership stress-free. I feel very comfortable reaching out to her whenever any issues arise because I know she'll handle them promptly and effectively. The Chambers' team are a wonderful group who are truly engaged with their clients. Kendra's informative, has great communication skills, and goes above and beyond for her customers. She actually cares about her tenants and always answers the phone or calls back right away. If I could give more stars, I would! I highly recommend Kendra and her team to any homeowner looking for a reliable and trustworthy property manager. They have exceeded all my expectations and made a world of difference in managing my property.

When I first did my…read morewalkthrough there were bugs all throughout the apartment and they apologized for not cleaning it before but that should have been my sign to leave day 1. However the lease was already signed and they insisted this wasn't an issue but that the apartment had been sitting. They have pest control but I've lived here three months and have called pest control three times and the issue still exists. You even see the water bugs dead outside your front door often. Waking up to use the restroom in the middle of the night to see big bugs on your floor or in your cabinets is not comfortable. No matter what I do, these bugs are showing up everyday. You also have to pay for pest control now. If you don't care about bugs you'll be fine. The appliances in the kitchen are old for these being luxury apartments. The gym is old and lacks equipment. I only lived there for 13 months, and it wasn't long enough to do any considerable damage to the apartment. Be careful when you move in and nitpick at everything that could possibly be wrong. The communication from the leasing office at Northbrook is pretty much nonexistent. You can call,…read moreyou can text, you can email, you can message from the portal and even show up and the office if you're lucky that someone is there, and little to nothing. That's where I can start off at. I was going to write a huge review on the status of our unit upon move in, but I'd rather provide photos and let them speak for themselves. The unit was filthy. There's an ant, spider and worst of all stray cat problem here. The first week of move in, we had stray cats spray on our patio and patio door, which had the whole unit smell like cat urine until we found the source and spent hours scrubbing it. The cats still visit the patio each night and continue to sleep and urinate around the unit each day. We reached out to maintenance about some of the issues with the unit that we were unable to clean on our own. One of them being the mold and mildew they painted over on the restroom ceiling leaving massive bumps poking out of the ceiling. Once the maintenance individual showed up he said "yeah they always paint over everything like that". And proceeded to spray paint over it some more. I asked about the vents that had massive amounts of dirt and dust that were painted over as well, he said "oh you can just unscrew those and they come off." And of course left those as is also. Other than finding a bullet in one of the parking lots on the first night moving in, the parking isn't bad. You're provided a stall even if it's across the property, but there's also empty stalls and the street to park on that's close by. Theres some type of prepaid system that the laundry facilities use on the property but we don't know too much about that because it wasn't explained to us by management. There's also mailboxes nearby somewhere but we don't know much about that either because management neglected to show us where they're at as well as failed to give us a mailbox key. So far, the complex has been pretty quiet besides the homeless that ride their bikes all throughout during the day and night and a few loud couples arguing here and there. Also, we have to be very mindful of the added fees they slap on top of the rent. Some things we never signed up for and had to find the corporate number to try and figure out what they were. I have so many praises for an employee from a sister property that was so responsive and so helpful. Unfortunately that's another property and not this one. This has only been month one so updates will be provided as they come.

We needed a place to live while our home was being built. We signed a six month lease. The unit we…read morerented had been leased to a corporate account. We came to learn the complex rents out numerous apartments as 'corporate' leases. Think Airbnb for apartments. The apartment we leased was dirty when we arrived. We leased it sight unseen due to living out of town. We took it on faith the apartment would be clean. It wasn't. The kitchen sink had numerous deep chunks across the surface. We asked if they could repair it but was told the sink could not be used for 48 hours if we chose to have it fixed. How come they rented us a dirty apartment in disrepair? We documented the condition. The apartment upstairs was one of the Airbnb type rentals. Fresno police visited that apartment at least two times. Police visited two other apartments in our block of apartments over the six months we lived there. If you choose to live there on 4th of July get out of town for the night. The manager Kelly should have been on the premises that night to temper the fireworks chaos that lasted past 2:00 am. The complex claims to have a security service but we never saw it. The parking lot is gated but the gates are open all day. They are closed at night, thankfully. Maintenance when called was quick and Sam the maintenance supervisor is top notch. He is polite and very good at his job. One other good thing about the Shires 'Luxury' Apartments is the low deposit. You won't see it though. They charge $230 for carpet cleaning and another $200.+ for cleaning. Tenants cannot opt out of that. We left the place cleaner than we found it, by far, but were charged anyway. They also claimed it needed paint which it didn't. We received $140 back from our $700 deposit. The problem with the corporate Airbnb type setup is the noise by transient tenancy. Car doors slamming at 2 am, screaming couples at 4:00 am. It was horrible. Short term rental in an apartment environment is irresponsible corporate policy. Overnight and weekly guests have no investment in the complex so permanent residents can't evade the feeling they are living in a noisy resort. I gave The Shires two stars generously but the outstanding work by the Sammy the maintenance guy deserved some recognition. The 3 bedroom unit we were paying $2,300 per month for is listed for rent for rent up to $2,800. You should expect much more for that price.
