We lived in this apartment complex for roughly over 5 years. Management was great while Kasey was the manager after that customer service went down. I can deal with poor customers service, but I can't look past the fact that we would pay $2,100 in rent. These apartments describe themselves as luxury apartments but that is not the case. Our apartment was a three bedroom apartment with two bathrooms. The bathroom in the master bedroom had black mold growing. I let management know, they sent in a worker to look at it. He explained to me that they usually have it cleaned and then paint over it. I was in shock because black mold you can't just clean and paint over it. They proceeded to get professionally cleaned, changed the fixtures ( which a month later still rusted), and replaced the fan. The problem persisted no matter how much you cleaned it. The appliances are the original appliances from when they built the apartments. The fridge spoiled my food in less than a week. The manager said it was because it was packed, lol I had only a few things in the fridge. My fridge in my RV works better than the one at the apartment. Not to mention when we were moving out, my friend's SUV was towed as we were inside packing to move the things into her vehicle. When we approached Connie her response was "I didn't know you were going to be moving and it's not my responsibility to tell you to have your hazards light on so you don't get towed." Look somewhere else.  There are a variety of problems with this place.  First, the customer service is terrible.  Connie, seemed more like a "Karen" to me, is horribly rude and unreasonable.  If you ever plan to have a guest at your apartment there is absolutely no parking within the complex.  The maintenance guys are great and agree to let you briefly park in the red because they understand there is no parking.  Don't let Connie catch you in the red because she will aggressively have you towed and then deny responsibility and treat you terribly.  I went to the office seeking an explanation for towing a car that was parked in the same spot maintenance had previously approved and she threatened to call the police, refused to speak to me, and kicked me out of the office.  Mind you, I was calm.  What a miserable human being Connie is.  Stay away, at least until they get a new office person.  Consider yourself warned. read more

The 3 bedroom apts are decent in size and pretty clean. The maintenance and their response time is also pretty decent. However, if you call them about a broken appliance that needs to be replaced, they might forget to give you a date/time for them to replace it. They went into my apartment without me knowing and replaced an appliance. I don't mind the new appliance, but it's not okay that someone was in my apartment without me knowing. Also, plan on only having one vehicle for your entire apartment (doesn't matter if it's 1 bedroom or 3 bedrooms). There is NOT enough parking available for a 2nd car. All the available extra parking spaces will be taken up before 3pm. If you have a 2nd car, you'll either have to park at the leasing office, or outside of the gates (on the street). read more

This complex is the best community I've lived in so far. The Property Manager, Connie, is a true gem. She does everything in her power to place you into the right home unit. The location is perfect, close to all major shopping needs and a moment away from the 168. When looking for a new apartment home, consider Marbella, you won't regret it! I've been renting for 15 plus years, hands down my favorite place ever. Love my apartment, amenities, but HUGE shout out to property management. Sam and the team take care of you here! Our dishwasher had a leak, with in 24 hours of speaking with Sam, she had our new (brand new..)dishwasher delivered and installed. I was amazed. It's so refreshing to have property management that actually takes care of you with out a fuss or fight. Definitely recommend! Love it here! read more

Woah! Seems like there may be some stressed out tenants. Perhaps they need to use the complex gym to burn some energy. lol I visit the complex often, as I have a few friends living there. They love it. They keep trying to get me to move-in so they can get the $250 referral bonus. lol The property also has a new manager, Kim. They seem to really like her. No issues there. I never met the previous manager, but saw Kim as we were all going to the pool one afternoon, she seemed chill and friendly. Anyways folks, don't be discouraged. This property is awesome, safe and friendly! I also like how it is right by the hospital as that's where I work often. Not to mention it's around the corner from the 168 freeway, which makes it super easy to get around Clovis and Fresno. Keep it up Marbella! read more

I would not recommend renting an apartment at this location. Be very careful when moving in and moving out. Document and take photographs to prove the move-in and move-out condition. I've lived here for 4yrs now. The main reason I renewed my lease was because of the manager- Kasey. He is by far the kindest, most caring and understanding manager this apartment complex has had. He cares about the community members like a family and makes sure any issues are addressed promptly. He is always respectful and calm when addressing residents. We will truly miss him! read more

Never had a bigger regret in my choice of living. This could be a great place to live but the person who runs this complex, Heather Wolfe, grossly lacks customer service or customer care and I've created and developed such services for major companies. The first experience you'll come across is you'll notice they'll find every possible way to get that very last penny from you because they will charge you for everything and anything and I have yet been able to see what justifies my $1500+ rent. You're happy with the shiny and new at the beginning but it doesn't take too long to go away. The renewal cost are significantly high so you may want to think about that if you don't want to move right away. The one positive that I can give them is they have a quick response with their maintenance and they are friendly. The problem is it appears you have to call on them all the time. I don't know whats left that hasn't broken down and I've never had more than one thing break down on me before. They say they replace your bulbs but they go out within a month so you're constantly having to have maintenance in your home. Fridge went out on me twice causing several hundreds of dollars in loses. They upgraded their complex and i tried to work with them so that I can maximize my work and they responded with we are coming in if you like it or not and it was absolutely a manageable situation. One things for sure, they have no problems invading your space. Its great that they will allow pets but they will charge you rent per pet, they will draw blood from your dogs, and they will make threats against your animals. My heart functions at 31% and we also have a new baby in the household so the cat has been getting out a few times (let alone maintenance will let your cat out from time to time which is how it got accustom to getting out in the first place). We immediately got a letter talking about court fees and lawyer cost if it saw my pet again, you know, that pet they charges rent. I actually have no clue as to why they allow pets because nothing about Marbella says 'welcome pets' other than their advertisements. The one thing I hear every tenant complain about is parking. I actually park in a handicap space so parking isn't an issue for me. But i see the struggles day in and day out people fighting for parking. Marbella fired back by threatening to go into everybody's garage, again, they don't care about your personal space. So if you like to throw parties at the clubhouse, and it is a nice clubhouse, or have friends and family over, buyer beware. That's just to mention a few things, but the bottom line is the place is cold and lacks customer care, its design to get you in and out so if you don't want to move your family around, this may not be for you as well. Maintenance is great but through my personal experience is they will be in your home a lot. You will get a smile from Heather Wolfe, but she does not have your best interest in not even an afterthought, and she will threaten you and your family at first opportunity. I would recommend this complex to anyone looking for a great place to live in Clovis. The complex has very clean grounds and offers a lot of great amenities. The interior of the apartment is very spacious and very roomy. The community itself is very quiet and has a great family like atmosphere. The maintenance team is great and is always super fast at handling all my requests in a timely matter. The manager Kim is an absolute sweetheart and is always very helpful when I come to her with any questions or concerns. If you had any reservations about renting here I would stop second guessing yourself and move in! This is one of the best decisions my family has ever made! read more

Since my last review, I've moved out of Marbella. It was still a great place during the time I was there, and I didn't experience any of the problems I've read about with the security deposit. To the contrary, I was treated very fairly. I left the unit with no additional damage (only a few minor things were pre-existing upon move-in) and I cleaned the place, but not thoroughly. I was charged a reasonable housekeeping and carpet cleaning fee, and the rest of my deposit was returned within a week. The staff ensured that my experience when I left was as positive as when I moved in. read more

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this apartment by accident. We were apartment seeking to move into our first place together and we fell in LOVE with the layout of the units, along with it meeting all of our requirements. It was more on the expensive side, more than what we wanted to pay, but it is in Clovis and the amenities that came with the unit made up for the monthly rent. We rented a one bedroom and one bath apartment. Pro: It's spacious, has hardwood flooring, plenty of windows for sunlight, ceiling fans, walk in closet, balcony, two door bathroom (One entering from the living room and one from bedroom.) In-unit washer and dryer, swimming pool (3-5 ft only), 24 hour small gym with treadmills, bikes, few arm and leg machines. We loved the idea that we didn't have a neighbor underneath our unit. Our attached garage along with two others were beneath us. It was a gated community and we were able to park legally behind our garage for a second car. The maintenance crew was excellent! After putting in the work order, the maintenance guy comes the next day or two to finish the task. In some nights, I would see the CIS security car drive around inside the apartment. Con: Until we moved in, we didn't realize how loud the garages were when it's opening and closing. The dryer collected a lot of lint and it was difficult to get rid of the lint trapped inside, so your clothes will end up with plenty of lint on it. Parking is bad if you don't own a garage, because there's limited guest parking. Every time you have a guest over, there's really no parking for them unless they're parked outside the apartment. Theres a pet deposit along with a monthly pet fee and it requires renter's insurance too. There's about 8-10 doggy stations located inside the apartment that provides doggy trash bags to clean up after your pet. There's a large fee if your dog's feces is found on the property. I know, talk about money right? There were only bad reviews about this place regarding the manager Kim, but we took the risk and moved in. I believe that if you obey the rules that are laid out to you from the beginning, you will stay on their good side! We only had Kim for about 2-3 months or so and Casey replaced her. He is an amazing manger! He communicates with the tenants, friendly and didn't raise our rent if we continued to live in Marbella. Unfortunately we did not continue our stay there, because we wanted to save. I am very satisfied with this place and would recommend it to anyone who can afford to live there. read more

Whatever you do, Stay Away From Marbella. The manager Heather is one of the worst humans anyone could ever come across. She sets the standard for passive aggressive. You will never see one cent back of your security deposit. Parking is non existent. The security gates rarely function properly. An example of managements pettiness; I pay 50 dollars a month for a 5lbs dog, I was dog sitting for my parents dog and happened to take both dogs for a walk..cost me an extra 50 dollars once "management saw me walking two dogs"..I tried to explain this other dog was only with me for 36 hours...management could careless..50 bucks.. This is only the tip of the ice berg. I could write a novel in this places pettiness. Marbella's slogan should be: Sorry For The Inconvenience. This place is a fucking nightmare. Property Manager will turn on you the second you take your keys. Read the other reviews. I'm a Combat Veteran, so when I say I've encountered a lot of horrible people...I mean it.. this property manager is right up there. This place is a total shit show. I have had a wonderful experience living at Marbella. I've been extending my lease for 4 years now.

The apartment complex itself is pretty nice, but there are some things to consider before you move here. First, people leave the sidewalk gates propped open and management doesn't do anything about it. Second, I lived on the second floor, and since the person below griped about my "heels walking across the tile" above, I was asked to either keep my shoes off or keep quiet. Being a good neighbor, I moved my living room rug to the tile dining area. What a pain. Third, when there was a stray cat roaming the complex, management called me to ask if it was my cat. What?? I didn't even have a cat. I never had seen a cat. But somehow they thought it must have been my cat that I was feeding at the downstairs neighbor's door. Most importantly, be aware that these people will rip you off when moving out. They charged me $550 of my deposit to "clean my carpet" when I had only lived there for seven months. They claimed I had "protein stains" in the carpet and it cost extra to clean the carpet. I didn't have any spills, food, pets or any other stains on the carpet, but that's what they claimed and I had no way to prove otherwise. In fact, the carpet wasn't very clean when I moved in. My apartment was so clean when I moved out the manager said "I wish all our tenants cleaned the way you did" and "you should be getting all but a hundred dollars back on your deposit." I wonder now if they thought I actually had a cat (based on the complaint of a neighbor) and just charged me for that out of their own volition. Then it took three months to receive the remainder of my deposit back. What a rip off and an insult. I'm so disappointed in this place and the people who work there and Manco Abbott. Had I followed the previous Yelp posts about these apartments, I wouldn't have leased here and I wouldn't have been out so much money. I should have listened. Good luck. Be careful here.
