I tried the reopen and didn't taste great. Instead of riding of Villa Palermo's old client base they need to focus on actually delivering a good product. Fresh ingredients- the old villa p's had the sauce a little sweet not tasting like spaghetti sauce and not too much, the cheese needs to be good fresh Mozeralla and the bread needs to be between crispy chewey not cracker crunchy...or with spots of raw flour on the undercarriage And for god sakes clean the oven out I get black spots under the pizza everytime I order. Ordered a medium cheese pizza Monday night, as you can see in the photos it came in sloppy and poorly cut, that I can live with. What was shocking and absolutely unacceptable is the globs of raw white flour and splotches of raw wet dough underneath the pizza. Thats not a quality issue it's a Public Health Issue. Eating raw flour is dangerous. They need a serious quality check to be apart of the process. Not just reopen put a 'Halal' stamp on the logo and hope for the best. I've been going to Villa Palermo's for 20 years and was optimistic about the reopening. But this is extremely disappointing and concerning. Whoever made this pizza on Monday night needs to be trained properly and again management needs to establish some very basic quality standards. read more

This should be 3 1/2 stars but we'll go with 3. I was really hoping that this place would be similar in taste to the Palmermo's Pizza places on the Southside. It was not at all. I had a 1/2 Sausage and 1/2 Pepperoni Thin (Well Done) and Cheese Sticks delivered tonight. The thin was ok but the saving grace was the Sausage pieces in the middle! Cooked perfectly but overall the taste was bland and this pizza really had a lack a sauce. The Cheese Sticks were just awful frozen, bland sticks. There is no need to order them. I had hoped a better experience but I tried it and I'm good moving forward. read more

The new owners did not keep any of the same ingredients and you can tell they are trying to be cheap and give you low quality food I ordered and was very disappointed. Villa Palermo's just reopened, so I was really looking forward to ordering again, but honestly the pizza does not taste the same anymore. The sauce tastes different, the flavor is off, and overall something just isn't right. It feels like something is missing compared to how it used to be. was happy to hear when I saw it was going to reopen after a long time of it being closed. I ordered a pizza and was really hoping for the same villa taste but unfortunately I was very disappointed. The pizza tastes like a shadow of the old villas, very bland. I'm not sure if it's a different cheese or sauce but the only thing that seemed to taste like the old pizza was the crust. Not only that the prices seem to be raised up quite a bit. I paid $32 for a 16" half Hawaiian and half sausage when I used to be able to get an extra large 18" for that price. I've passed by this place for over 10 years, use to live 5 min away and never ate here. Recently, I came across Villa thru yelp trying to find some calzone. I ordered a customized calzone. I had fresh garlic, w/ extra cheese and spinach. I'll defiantly be coming back and trying their pizza. The down side is there is no parking and the phone are never answered. read more

The service over the phone is truly horrendous. I've tried calling multiple times to order and am being immediately placed on hold every time spanning 30mins, I am truly baffled that it takes this long just to make an order the food is good but the service is def lacking this causes you to looose good business fyi. read more

We ordered a pizza, fries and an RC cola. The pizza was supposed to be half sausage and half cheese. The sausage was on about 2/3 of the pizza, it was not cut all the way through, and it was cold, and the sausage looked very weird. The fries were also cold, not warm, cold! They sent us 7up instead of RC and didn't call us to see if we wanted something different because they were out. We asked them to come pick it up so they knew we were not trying to get something for free. We contacted Slice, the platform they require you to order through and the told us we would receive a refund. After 2 days they told us they would only give us a refund for the soda, even though we threw everything away. We wasted our money and ruined our New Year's Eve dinner. read more

Been ordering pizza from this place for yrs since I grew up in the neighborhood but as of recent the people answering the phone have become more rude. E.g. today I tried to order and the man taking my order seemed in a rush and kept cutting me off as I tried to ask a specific question about their beverage selection. He just kept assuming he knew what I was gonna ask and he was so wrong so I kept trying to ask my question anyway I finally reached my limit with him and I finally had to say sir u keep cutting me off and his response was, ok well what do u want because I have customers waiting?! At this point I realized I have plenty of other great pizza options that would love to treat me with respect and Villa Palermo didn't deserve my money or my family and friends money anymore. A friend (who owns a restaurant!) recommended this place, and we immediately thought "THAT place that we've been driving past for years?! Huh." Figuring that she knows food, we opted for a delivery pizza one night. Okay. This place is ON THE LIST. The pizza was hot, fresh, gooey cheese GREAT. Crispy crust - my review sounds generic, but seriously, it hit all the standard pizza requirements, and more! Very good. It was so good, my BF wanted food from here for his (pandemic stay at home) birthday dinner, so we ordered an absolute *embarrassment* of food. Ribs, pizza, RIB TIPS (so juicy, saucey and tangy!). . . we were eating for DAYS on this order, and everything was on point. Very good, delivered hot, fresh and well packed. Having recently moved to the area, I was overwhelmed with pizza delivery options. After asking my roommate where his "go to" was, I placed an order online. The pizza arrived far sooner than expected... as if that's a bad thing? It was hot & made to order. The crust was a bit thinner than I'm used to but the ingredients & overall quality made it a solid pizza! I thoroughly enjoyed my leftovers the next day as well. They also have specials during the week, which is why I decided to give this place a shot, & I can't say I was disappointed. I've been ordering from this wonderful pizzeria, for about 10 years. They are consistent, always keeping the quality high & ingredients fresh. Plus their portions are rather generous. Price is good too. They make a great thin crust, with a flavorful sauce & generous amount of cheese. Their bbq ribs & wings are delicious as well. Ordered food from there expecting to be delivery on app. Wait hour and a half. No update or status on food that was paid for. Then when contacted the business to deliver like expected they say there's an emergency and can't deliver even though they close at midnight. Kinda crappy service if you ask me. My wife and I were in the mood for some pizza and, unsatisfied by other places around us that we previously ordered from, decided to order from Villa Palermo. We decided to throw caution to the wind despite some of the negative reviews, and placed our order for a pepperoni pizza. The driver arrived right on time, which was great. Things were off to a good start. I put the box down on the counter, opened the lid, and discovered one of the most poorly topped pizzas I've ever seen. Seriously, look at the accompanying picture. How could any one look at that before it went in the oven and think that was a well put together pizza? Honestly, my 5 year old does a better job of putting toppings on the pizza when we make it at home. I called my wife in to look at what was in the box, and neither one of us could stop laughing, which is not the reaction any restaurant should want first time customers to have when looking at their food. After the laughter subsided, we ate some of the pizza and were not at all impressed. It was just okay. Not bad, but nothing special, either. The pepperoni was also much too salty. At least the liter of RC that came with the pizza was fresh and good, so the experience wasn't a complete disappointment. All that said, I doubt we'll be ordering from Villa Palermo again, unless we're really desperate for some pizza. read more

I don't like Caesar salad but their Caesar salad is so good with amazing dressing they use all I can say is I highly recommend it and put grilled chicken on it. There's something about these old school Italian places which have been open since the 60's, 50's, 40's etc., that attract me. Especially if they're family owned and non-chain. Villa Palermo, not to be confused with Palermo frozen pizza (I've taken Palermo's Wisconsin factory tour by the way), is that type of place. They've withstood the test of time and the changing neighborhood but have managed to maintain a steady clientele. I've catered and ordered, multiple times, their Palermo special thin crust. Why haven't I written a review sooner? I'm not sure but after having 8 pieces of pizza, I'm highly motivated to write this review. I love the smell of the cheese as it permeates the interior of my car. I also appreciate the free Pepsi with the 18 inch (feeds 5 to 6 people). They provide a generous amount of red pepper and Parmesan cheese. The perfect blend of green peppers, onions, mushrooms, sausage on my Palermo special is awesome and the crust is not buttery but crispy. They're really generous with the cheese - have you ever had a pizza and felt like they skimped on the cheese? That's not going to happen here. I haven't eaten at the restaurant so I can't comment on their decor. I tend to pick up and have my pizza at home. read more

Well let me start by saying I've ordered here a few times. Probably like 2 times a month maybe more. I don't know I don't keep track. Tonight I was completely disappointed. My order was pizza with extra sauce well it clearly said extra sauce because they never put enough. Well there wasn't extra sauce. Than I ordered wings. Bbq Wings at that. I asked for extra bbq on the side but no where in there did I say no bbq on the wings. So they Gave me wings with the skin no barbecue on them and no bbq on them. I get extra bbq night have cost more ok that's fine don't include it in the order at all I wouldn't have been mad about it but you didn't put bbq on the wings at all! I have my own pizza place but my daughter likes the pizza there and so does my husband and I see our pizza everyday so I need a change too. I like villa parlemos bbq sauce as well not wings with skin. I called the man said I was yelling and believe me I wasn't yelling I was explaining in a professional manner what was wrong. He said "I have other customers" and click. I take take my time and call people back when they have an issue and I call back from my cell phone to make sure I accomodate all complaints as best I can so this just made me mad that I was completely blown off.
