DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!!!!! Unless you want rude/sloppy service. I usually go to Tony, he is amazing and always nice. This time I tried someone different because he wasn't available. The tech did a sloppy job, therefore I asked for a soak off and a refund. The staff was extremely rude about it and argued with me about it. They made such a drama scene when I calmly and respectfully asked for a refund. Then after soaking off my nails they changed up and said "we can't give u a refund" Thank goodness a bystander spoke up and said it wasn't right, so they gave me a refund. They tossed a $50 bill in my face and mid soaking off my nails told me to leave I've never been treated so poorly and rude at the salon. Especially the front desk guy he ALWAYS has an attitude. For a $50 fill just go to a nicer salon and get better quality service. read more

Ok so I actually found out on the day of my appointment with Elly Tran (whom I found on IG and had an appointment with from a month ago) that she works at this place. She doesn't show the address on her page. When I finally found out this where she works, I looked up the location. I saw so many bad reviews about this business treating customers poorly but Elly didn't seem this way on her IG. So I kept the appointment. BIG MISTAKE! I came from out of state for a mani/pedi with Elly. Unfortunately, I never met her. I ended up leaving within a minute of arriving because of the nasty attitude of the gentleman that sat near the door. He spoke to me so disrespectfully, I was just shocked I should've known from the lack of phone manners when making the appointment, that this place would treat their customers awful This nail salon is run like a sweat shop. It is filthy, the workers look scared and overworked and the gentleman at the front was so rude when I arrived, I honestly didn't feel safe. EVERYTHING these other bad reviews are saying is accurate. I saw and smelled what I needed to see within 60 seconds and left. PLEASE BEWARE! read more

Very cheap compared to what I'm used to paying. Only 45 for tips and dip! They did a great job!

Overall I'm okay with how my nails came out but I was cut on the corner of each of my nails. My nail tech said that my nails would be $25 because of the cuts and then changed the price to $45 when I went to check out. read more

I came here on a Tuesday during my lunch break since I work close by. They were able to get me right in. The prices aren't too bad, however if you want to add gel polish it's an additional $20, which I think is a complete ripoff; but, I can say that this was a great nail shop. It was nice and clean, they were friendly and Lauren did an amazing job on my feet! I got the deluxe pedicure which was $35, but came out to $55 with gel (which is why I say this is a ripoff). Lauren did an excellent job on my feet, she is great with the massage portion as well, because I've noticed that a lot of shops have gotten away from really massaging like they say! Overall, I will come back because the location is convenient, the foot massage is great and they actually look good! read more

Spontaneous trip to the nail salon brought me in. I asked for a classic pedicure and acrylic set with gel. I was taken care of for quite some time. The staff did a great job. They did not rush and checked to ensure I was happy with each step of the process. It was busy and I did not feel as if I was being pushed along quickly. The nails came out great just like the picture o showed them. I will be back . read more

I've only been here 2 times, but this is the only nail salon I've been to in Tallahassee that I've been extremely satisfied both times!! Got a full set done in just under an hour and at only $55 you can't go wrong. Jon did my nails today and I'll definitely come back to see him again! read more

I wish I could give no stars but if you're of color this establishment is very racist. Tonight I experienced it and if I would had read the reviews before now I would had not came here. I came here for Elly but she's out of town so I tried someone else. The young lady wasn't friendly and had an attitude the whole time while doing my nails. I got rhinestones on my nails and a day later they were falling off. So I went back to get them put back on and the manager became very upset with me. He started yelling at me in front of everyone. He kept coming to the table I was sitting at saying I will remember your face and for me not to come back. I wouldn't dare come back. It's not a good vibe in there at all. read more

Now that I have graduated I am ready to share my biggest secret, favorite nail spot, and best nail tech. NIKKI is the BEST nail tech HANDS DOWN. I trust her with absolutely everything. I would travel miles and miles just to see her. She made sure every time that my nails were exactly how I wanted them. Design, shape, type she does it all and makes sure you're happy. I never left the salon disappointed when I went to her. She's extremely busy but if you can find a way to squeeze yourself into a slot please do it. I love love love her. I had a big dip phase and she would do the dip and paint over in gel if that's what I wanted. I switched to acrylic per her recommendations and they came out more perfect than ever. I would go into her completely blind and trust that I would get the best service possible. I love Villa nails and Nikki! 10/10 recommend every time. read more

Very Racist! The owner or manager is very disrespectful and disgusting towards black ppl. I asked for one more coat on my pedicure and it was a problem, he even went as far as asking my sister why did she bring me there. You can tell he really wanted to use the N word. The worst place I've EVER visited. If you are black or a minority PLEASE STAY AWAY! I've heard of many nail salons being racist but never have I've actually experienced this. Very disappointing! From my observation the workers are even afraid of him(Just my observation)Once I asked for another coat on my toenails he became very irritable. I told him that if the original person who did my pedicure wasn't available it was totally fine, not a big deal. He came and decided he would add another coat to my toenails. He was very aggressive as if he wanted to hit me. He even slammed the arm of the chair down in which I was sitting. Me being very afraid of his aggressiveness. I told him it was fine. My toenails didn't need another coat of paint. Had I said anything aggressive towards him I'm pretty sure he would've physically assaulted me. Women of color, please have services done where you are appreciated and not tolerated. His behavior was outlandish. He angrily preceded to ask was this my first time there, I responded and told him yes. It was like he wanted me to know my place, and as a black woman, correcting his employers work was out of line especially for a black woman. Now thinking back I think he had become irritable in the beginning when he asked did we want our nails done as well. We both responded no, he came and asked again. We gave the same answer "no thank you" I wanted to tell him we were nurses and couldn't have nails but we were in mid conversation, chatting with each other. read more

I love Nikki she is absolutely amazing. I have tried Pro Nails and Coco Nails with highs and lows. But Nikki here at Villa is a dream. I have had 100% great experiences with her. I do also come for pedicures and can say this place is wonderful and reasonably priced. I always leave with stunning results. Get an appointment if you try, and love Nikki. She books up fast! Everyone else has always been wonderful but full disclosure I've just not had anyone else work on them. I get the $45 pedicure. I sometimes add Gel which is $20. I've tried both the basic pedicure $27 and the next step up $35 all pedicures represent their price and you get what you pay for. read more

The manager over the shop is very prejudice. There is a disdain and perceived annoyance towards people of color as patrons. Today was the last day I'd step in the shop. I had a great experience. I got in right away. Tony was my nail tech. I had a badly broken nail with skin attached. Big ouch! Always professional & friendly.I am usually a Walk-in and we are always welcomed. Cost is reasonable.

Just came for a gel pedicure, originally wanted a deluxe but when I realized how rude the person who was taking care of me was, I told her I'll do regular pedicure... she also cut my cuticle to the point it was bleeding and when I flinched she didn't even apologize... wanted French but the lines were done horribly so I ended up just doing a regular color. I was recommended by a friend but sad to tell her my experience was not as good as hers.. read more

This was the worst service I've ever received at a nail salon. I came for a pedicure and Initially when I asked how much it'll be to add acrylic overlay on two big toes the gentleman told me $14. However, the lady shouted $25 (which is ridiculous) and a red flag. They obviously paired me with someone who was new bc he had no clue on what he was doing. He needed assistance several times and he put lotion on my legs as they were soaking wet and washed it off which made no sense. After attempting to do my French tip and showing him a picture of how I would like it, he needed assistance. The manager attempted which is better than what the other gentleman was doing but not the results I was looking for and he was rude about it when I tried to tell him. The other gentleman sat on the side to watch and was digging in his nose. As he was about to do my feet again I told him he had to wash his hands first and they acted as if they had no clue on what I was saying. He never touched me after but watched as the manager who rudely finished my nails. I do sense some racism but don't want to accuse anyone and wish I had listened to the previous reviews and went somewhere else. read more

DONT COME HERE . The service was actually terrible . The paper says 30 for a fill , and I asked them how much a full was and he said 40 . I pointed out that on the paper it says 30. He didn't have anything to say. I think he was the owner was talking shit about me the whole time. Today was my first time visiting Villa Nail Spa and I'm was very pleased with my experience. I usually go to another nail salon in Tallahassee, but my nail tech couldn't fit me her schedule this week. The salon itself is really pretty and spacious. They have plenty of gel colors to choose from (regular colors and glitters). I made an appointment and when I arrived, my nail tech was ready for me. Additionally, the prices for services are listed at the front counter. My nail tech's name was Ely and she did an amazing job. I got an acrylic fill in with gel polish and a nail shape change from almond to coffin. My total was $40 (I was charged an additional $5 to change the shape), which is average price for what I get in Tallahassee. Ely was very quick, thorough, and friendly. She checked with me along the way to make sure I liked the shape and polish color. The only negative I could possibly think of is their UV lights (or whatever you call the thing that dries gel polish) are kind of small, so I had to be super careful when putting my hand inside. Other than that, everything was perfect! I will definitely be coming back and I'll be trying their pedicures. read more

i've always had a good experience with this salon, though one of them made it my last. i came in with my boyfriend to get my nails done for my birthday. i was greeted at the front and showed him what i wanted, then he handed me the nail colors and gave us about five minutes to pick a color. sounds good, right? well i go to sit down and he starts prepping my nails. he was extremely harsh especially considering how thin my nails were. i was surprised he didn't make it to the skin. he constantly nicked me with the file and when i pulled away he looked at my like i was an idiot, and i felt like one. in the end i didn't get nearly what i asked for and they ended up just being a plain nude color and he never added the pink. don't get me wrong, they were pretty. but not what i asked for at all! i paid, left, and don't plan on coming back. read more

I have been a long time customer of this Nail salon and it is so disheartening to say that this will probably be my last visit. The quality in nails that I have been receiving these past few sets have been so disappointing (I usually get dip and they have been breaking/cracking, falling off, lumpy, uneven tips, glitter in the dip topcoat (ruining the set because most of the nails have glitter specs), etc.) the glittered specs really solidified it due to my bringing it up to the woman who checked me out and saying "I'm sorry, you can't really see it though." Not offering to fix the nails which is so frustrating. I have tried giving them benefit of the doubt when I come back each time but I just leave disappointed, having issues with my nails, and wishing I went to a different salon. Please look to going to a different salon if your in the search for one. read more

Really great service! The nail tech constantly asked if I liked how they looked, confirming if there was anything that needed changing for my liking. Also, took 30 minutes to be seen for my full set but pedicure got taken care of asap. Despite having gone in the AM on a Saturday. Worth it after seeing the quality of their work. Got dipped full set, design & tiny bling on two nails totaling at $50 (not bad) then $27 for the regular pedicure. Not bad at all! Even offered a drink when I first wa walked in and sat down. Loved this place absolutely redommend!!! read more

Visited this salon for the first time after hearing about it from a friend. I walked in for a mani-pedi around noon on a Friday. I was greeted when I first came in and didn't have to wait long before being helped. The pedicure was very relaxing and Miss Tammy was very gentle but also attentive. My feet and calves haven't felt better! Miss Elly took care of me for my gel manicure and she was also lovely, I told her the kind of color I was looking for and she found me a perfect match! The place itself is also very clean and well kept, decor and atmosphere are both inviting and tranquil. My gel manicure and regular pedicure together were $55, a fair price in my opinion considering the fabulous result. Definitely will be coming back! read more

The owner can be very rude at times which is why I've stopped going here. Today, my Mom is on an outing for Seniors and they went here; last time Mama got sick during her service so he told me next time, I have to stay. Today, I arrived just as she did and he immediately shook his head and mentioned what happened last time. I said you told me to stay with her last time so I am here. He refused service for my Mom so I informed him, our dollars will go where they are respected. Done. Done. This is a PSA for all who use the salon. They won't even upgrade the waiting chairs where the cushions are just about done for. If you have not experienced the owner being rude, it's just a matter of time. read more

This had to be the worst experience ive had with a nail shop. I had asked for a similar look to the blue nails but in black. I was seated with one of the guys and he just starts doing ALL ombre nails, i kindly told him (like i had stated before I wanted my nails to look similar to the picture but in black) he looks annoyed and one of the other girls steps in and says she can do it... fast forward she is filing the nails down and i ask her if the way the ombre looked was how it was going to be and she said yes so i KINDLY asked if she could blend it more LIKE THE PICTURE so she does the pinky nicely and then just starts rushing hence why now the nails look all uneven, unblended, and messy. At this point im tired of asking for a redo(2 times) that i just take them. When im getting ready to pay(65) the first guy is ringing me up and i tell him im only paying 55 because of how they look. He starts getting rude with me and tells me to not come back anymore. I tell him thats fine and he continues to yell that at me (a pregnant woman) as i walk out the door at this point i come back and ask for a full refund bc A) customer service is terrible and B) these nails look awful. He proceeds to yell at me and refuses to give me my Money back! Finally the nail tech who did my nails gave me some of my money back and im walking out and this MAN is still yelling at me. SO DISRESPECTFUL WILL NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE!! read more

witnessed them being SUPER racist to a woman of color. Me and my three friends walked in (who are all white) and were told we'd be taken immediately. A young black woman who was there way before us asked about her manicure after getting a pedicure and he told her a full hour???? After all arguing about why she should be taken first, they finally relented and told her it would be 15 minutes??? Proceeded to tell her they did "not do powder" and when my friend asked if they did powder, said yes. Also told her they couldn't do that she wanted even though it was from the website. I was cut four times between my pedicure and dip set. When I told the lady who was doing my dip that she hurt me, she became frustrated. Additionally, when I told her that she didn't properly dip my nails, she got angry and called over the owner. He dipped my nails once and walked away. She continued doing a poor job on my nails. When it was time for me to pay, I asked for the owner again and showed him my nails. I told him that I hated them because she didn't clean the dip up around my nails properly. They look like something a beginning nail tech would do. He looked them over and passed a nail file around them and asked me if they were better. It was demeaning. I will never go back. read more

Visited there today for the first time after hearing about the place from a coworker. He said that they had a really nice and luxe setup. Villa definitely didn't disappoint! I walked in, and despite them having a decent crowd, I was greeted immediately and sat at a table for my gel manicure. They seem to be adequately staffed because there were about 10 or so people inside getting various services prior to me walking in. The options for gel colors are great and they do have the matching toe polish for those who care (like myself). My gel manicure was done great, no nicks to the skin or cuticle. My pedicure was awesome as well. Their massage chairs seem to be more roomy than the average, which was nice. They offered me something to drink and took really great care of me here. I will definitely be back to Villa Nail Spa! read more

They treat you like a princess, best pedicure I've had in years..clean, quaint space, timely as well, no complaints

I visited the Villa Nail Spa for the first time yesterday. The lady that worked on my nails did a good job, but the atmosphere in that place was oppressive. The staff was unfriendly, especially my nail technician and the male manager. I don't know if it was a language barrier or a racial or cultural issue, but something was off. When the store manager told the technician to do my nails, she frowned and said something to him that I could not understand. She remained silent the entire time she worked on my nails except when she had a question about my nail color. So, she could speak English, but I'm not sure how much. When I tried to initiate a conversation with her because I noticed we had the same shirt on, I was met with complete silence. So, I looked around the business several times to see how the other customers were treated. It seemed everyone else was receiving the same type of treatment regardless of their race. However, the store manager (owner?) was unfriendly too. He paced up and down the aisle, monitoring the nail technicians the entire time, especially the lady working on my daughter's nails. When my nails were finished, I sat in the front of the store, the farthest away from the racks of nail polish on display, so I would not be accused of stealing. When the manager realized I had not left the store, he plopped down on the seat next to me and sighed loudly. I was waiting for my daughter, and he knew it. So, if you don't mind having your nails done in a hostile environment, the Villa Nail Spa is the right place for you. I don't know about you, but if I refuse to patronize a business that treats me like I don't exist, I'm less than or racially profiles me. I want to enjoy the experience, which is why I no longer visit the privately owned beauty supply stores around town, and my daughter and I will never revisit this establishment. What bothered me is as I read through the various comments left on this Google Review, most people who were dissatisfied with their experience at this spa mentioned that they continue to visit this establishment. WHY??? There are other nail spas in Tallahassee. Why patronize a business that treats you poorly or that has jacked up your nails? Whatever happened to service with a smile or "when in Rome, do as the Romans do?" read more
