I couldn't wait for Villa Nail Spa to reopen. It's been 3 months since my last pedicure. I wasn't concerned about safety and COVID-19 because even before the pandemic, they exercised safe practices with gloves and masks. Since the pandemic, Villa Nail Spa has added additional measures in a very unobtrusive manner. Customers temperatures are taken and masks are to be worn. Customers are spaced at socially safe distances, technicians wear protective gear and plastic screens have been placed strategically at the reception area and manicure stations. I really like this salon, always very clean and staff do a great job. I usually get mani and pedi with regular and bring my own polish so I can touch up if needed. I am not a fan of gel polishes since it is difficult to remove and weakness your nails when taken off. My daughter usually gets acrylics and they do a good job and always nice. Do not recommend!! One of my nails broke off after 5 days. The design is not even, the tops of the nails were not straight, and the edges were rounded off rather than squared off. I asked for coffin, and these are barely narrowed in--they look more like square nails with rounded edges. When I asked the lady to shorten them, she dropped her hands down aggressively on the table, sighed, rolled her eyes, and tilted her head. If she is that inconvenienced by doing her job, then she shouldn't be doing it. This wasn't even my first design choice, but it was the only one that the lady could do! She told me that she "doesn't even know how to do that" to my first two design choices. This place clearly has a lack of experience and talent. I've been getting my nails done consistently for 12 years, and I've never experienced this much incompetence before. I FINALLY found a place close to my house that gets me, after trying so many other places. Tina had to get someone else to do my nails because the person I booked with decided not to show up for work so Julie came in to the rescue and understood the assignment! I went there 2 days ago (Monday) I did NOT enjoy my visit at all. The lady I had was super rushing and was rough on my nails. They don't even look good and they are bugging me to where I want to take them off. She went passed my nails onto the cuticles and skin. I told the receptionist that took my money that it was the fastest service I have even gotten and not sure of that is a good thing or bad, she was like well it depends on who you get. 03/28/19 Thursday 3:20pm. I am greeted promptly I pick out my color while she runs the water. She walks off to the back and I have no idea which chair I am supposed to go to. No one acknowledges me so I stand there waiting. Finally I spot my sheet next to a chair. So I go and sit down. My water is cold. The lady comes back and asks if i want Something to drink and she goes to get it. The gentlemen comes over and I ask him to please warm my water he does. I request that he clip my nails. He clips one with the little clippers you use for the cuticles not a true nail clipper and files them. Not what I requested. He seems to be a bit off his sequence. He does cuticles in 2nd foot and then goes back to 1st foot, as if he lost his place. The foot massage is no existent he just rubs the milk and honey on my legs. Spreading it but no massage just sort of a rub up and down my leg how disappointing! Last precisely 4 minutes I timed it. Next paraffin and hot towels. Nothing good or bad there. He applies and leaves for hot stones, which ended up leaving my ankle burned and angry red. I did tell him they were really hot! Lastly he applied more oil and lotion. Finally toward the end he somewhat massages my feet, my Achilles heal and my legs about 5 minutes per side. 50 minutes and 2 burns later. I will take Ms. Susie at famous nails she is older but she is serious in her craft! Lesson learned for $55 I will drive to excel in Crowley for a real pedicure. This is what happens when I am too tired to drive to Crowley. Save your time and money; skip this place. It is new but that is about all they have going for them! read more

WARNING TO ALL.... GOING WITH WHAT THE DOCTOR JUST TOLD ME I COUD LOOSE 7 FINGERS POSSIBLE MORE BUT WHAT TECH DID TO ME! Owner and manager refuse to say it's more than a reaction to chemical... Ivy was pissed when I got there and took it out on me and it got worse and worse from her asking me, Why would you ask me was College I go to? To her telling me she refused to fix my finger nail shape at the back bc she purposely bubbled them up and away from cuticle bc it makes them stronger and "It keeps "YOU PEOPLE FROM COMING BACK IN FOR REPAIRS!" If that's not bad enough... I told her I've had my nails done a Villa in Ft Worth for over 2 years and this is the 3rd time to Burleson one, they do good and don't come off no matter how thin the back part! Plus, it already is so far away from cuticle that it's going to look like a huge speed bump in one week! She still told me no. I went to emergency clinic and the doctor comes in thinking it's going to be silly I'm assuming by saying, "Let's look at theses Cut cuticles!" Then she sees my hands and GASPS!!! Saying, "GOOD GRIEF!!!! You're nails have been severed and CUT OPEN! OH GOOD LORD DO YOU KNOW WHAT KIND OF INFECTION YOU COULD GET? They don't ever have to clean that part of the file! Oh My God! You could not only get infected but loose fingers! How many are done this way???" She counts out loud... "1234567... 7!!! If not more good Gosh you good loose all of your fingers! This is unbelievable!" I'm panicking now!!!! But I know that's why I'm freaking out too!!! So that was two days ago!!! I send them all a photo up close too... And tell him I had to go to doctor and I'm freaking out... He replies back... in short... "Yes your fingers look red but we've seen that before several times and it's an allergic reaction and you need to take nails off right away and get antibiotic cream after you see the doctor"! I told him... you don't understand... I DID SEE THE DOCTOR AND SHE WAS EVEN FREAKING OUT! GAVE ME A SHOT, antibiotics, And told me do not hesitate one second to see regular doctor bc an infection could make me loose not just all nails but FINGERS OR WORSE! I'm so upset right now my stomach is quivering just typing this! Slowly too bc that's how bad they hurt still and it's been two days! Anyways he's refusing to fire her since that was her 1st offense and he said she warned me about filing the nail and having it lift before hand and he'd like to see proof of what the doctor said bc it looks like what he said! So my reply was... Heres my freaking proof... Copy of docs bill meds and Walgreens dated paperwork and you'll be seeing it in detail as soon as I tell the lawyer tomorrow! As on now... They still have her working there and I'm wondering if she's family and had been in an argument before I walked in as to why she was mad and the lady came be more than 6x to check on me! I've been coming since they opened up this past Fall and I haven't been disappointed yet. I think I get a new nail tech every time because I usually just walk in and they have all been great. I've never had to wait. They have a nice selection of colors no matter if your getting gel, polish, or dip. It's very pretty and relaxing inside. The fact that they offer wine is a big bonus for this busy mom. I've been very happy with their pedicures as well. It's an all around great place. I was nervous to try them because I had finally found a great place but this was so close to my house I thought giving them a chance wouldn't hurt and now I've never been back to my old place. read more

I would NOT recommend! Go elsewhere save your money! I went in to get a pedicure and dip ombré nails. The pedicure felt rushed but my toes nails came out looking good. Now let's talk about my nails, they are thick and uneven and I honestly don't think they look ombré at all. I mentioned it to the tech doing them and I feel like she just rushed to get them done. If y'all don't know how to do ombré nails just say that and don't make it an option. I will be going back to the nail salon I usually go to even though it's a drive. Never again! I have been a customer since they opened. Service has steadily gone down hill. The last two times I have gotten a gel manicure the polish has peeled off within two days. I have tried calling, no answer. I also emailed them and messaged them on Facebook with no response. Went for a mani/pedi today. Nail polish all looked old and well used. Finally chose one. Terrible polish job. Nail tech got sick to stomach while doing my nails. Someone else took over then she came back and finished. When done and I was waiting for nails to dry she crawled in another pedicure chair and put a blanket over her and fell asleep. Prob shouldn't be at work not feeling well. I did touch my nail after about 40 minutes is sitting and it was still very tacky. Asked guy at front desk if he could please have her touch it up. He had to wake her up and she came back and painted another thick coat on top of messed up coat. Very disappointed. Toes look ok. Nothing special. Nails looked terrible. This was my first time going there, I only went due to other nail salon having such a long wait. I walk in having high hopes due to it being such a nice looking place. They get me in as soon as I walk in the nail tech proceeds to do my nails (acrylic set) then when we get to part where she files down my real nail and she's gets my skin with the file not once but twice. I came with my sister to get our nails done. I honestly had just had them done and was coming to spend quality time with her. We walked in together were told to choose our colors and were seated. A technician quickly began working on my sister. I didn't have a problem waiting for an available technician until I noticed a lady and her daughter who came in about 5 minutes after us was quickly seated for appeared to be a pedicure. And her daughter was given a bowl to soak her hands. I'm waiting however. My sister asked the receptionist why no one started on me and explained we wanted to do our services together. There receptionist then states "he doesn't do hands", when someone opens up that does hands you will be next. Now I could have sworn the man had just finished a mani before he went to her but I just nodded and thanked her for her explanation. Mind you no apology or concern for time was made. Luckily instincts kicked in and when another tech was available I politely explained that I would pass because I didn't want to hold up my sister. Glad I did because about 2 mins later, I look over at the man that doesn't do hands and he he doing a manicure for the lady! It's hilarious how blatantly we were lied to. Disappointed. This was my second visit as I thought it was a great salon. I requested the basic manicure. The tech only filed, buffed and polished my nails. No chance to wash nails, no scrub, no mask, no lotion, and no top coat. When checking out, I mentioned this. They had the 20% off offer for M-W and all he would offer was 25%. Astetically the salon is great. The gentleman working he front desk was very pleasant and helpful. I had an appointment that didn't begin for at least 20/25 minutes which was fine, it was rather busy. I had two different techs, one for my nails and one for my feet. Neither seemed to listen to any critiques I had. My previous polish wasn't removed very well so you can still see it on the edges and the gel polish on one of my toes was chipped and she kept trying to ignore me when I ask her to fix it. On the third request she did fix it then she sprayed some oil on my toes and walked off, didn't even rub it in. The oil literally was dripping off my toes. I didn't even know she had finished. I opted to try the dipping technique for my nails, which I absolutely regret. A drimle was used to "buff" over my nails. I asked prior to it being used if it would file or just buff and she lied saying it was to buff, she absolutely filed over my nails which I did not want. I wasn't getting a set of nails I was getting my real nails painted. While doing the dipping she was not applying the clear polish evenly so the powder was not sticking evenly and my nails just kept getting thicker with powder. I kept asking if she was going to fix them and the lady would say yes and brush it off. I had her fix a couple but it didn't help much because my nails are so thick with powder they look like bad acrylic nails. She used so much clear polish the skin under my nails were stuck to the nail and under the nails were caked in wax because the lady didn't bother cleaning my hands up very well after using the paraffin wax. I pretty much paid $138 for my extremely healthy nails to look like I went and got a bad $30 set of nails and subpar pedicure. I haven't decided if I'd go back, I'm trying to chalk the experience up to me not liking the dipping technique. I may go back and just do basic manicure and pedicure because for the more expensive spa pedicures/manicures you definitely don't get what you pay for. read more
