I love Villa grill. I am not sure how I went so long with out visiting this place but I will definitely be making it a regular dining option from now on! Now, like some other good family weeknight spots, respect this place for what it is. It is not claiming to be anything spectacular. It is extremely fair priced, good service, and satisfying food. I loved my meatball parm sub and can't wait to try their cheesesteak. Their flatbreads (their specialty) were awesome! I'm not sure I would pick this spot if I was craving pasta, it looked okay...but the rest of the menu looked much better! Villa Grill is a great place for lunch in the Clemmons area. It is a perfect spot to grab a bite before going to Tanglewood Park. Villa Grill is located in Tanglewood Commons Shopping Center right beside the Harris Teeter. If you are looking for a nice lunch outside, they have a few tables in front of the restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised with Villa Grill's prices. They had some good lunch specials and two people could get out of there spending less than $20 including tip. For my lunch I ordered the Pollo Panini. It came with a grilled chicken breast, roasted red pepper, and pesto mixed with a balsamic glaze. It was very good and the perfect portion for lunch. I also ordered the fresh roasted vegetables as my side and they bring out a huge bowl of them. The service here was great. Our waters were constantly filled and the waitress was friendly and attentive. Sometimes when you sit outside at a restaurant you get forgotten, but that was not the case here. I would recommend Villa Grill if you are visiting Tanglewood Park and looking for a lunch spot. The service is good, prices are reasonable, and they have some great options for lunch. read more

I stop in for lunch or dinner a few times each month. Villa Grill is great food and at a lower price than you'll get in any fast food place. For lunch I rotate through the sandwiches and burgers. Great burgers. For dinner I really enjoy the Creamy Parmesan dinner. The pizza and stromboli are excellent too. And just to be sure, it must be a good place to work. They stayed open during Covid with employees other than the owners (bonus to the owners) and every time I go the servers and hostess are always smiling and friendly. Go expecting a good, relaxed time with some good food. And if anything isn't right, the owner and her staff will make it right. They have for me. read more

The Villa Grill in Clemmons is located in the Tanglewood Commons shopping center. We were greeted right away when we entered the cozy restaurant and were seated at one of their tables (half of the restaurant has booths if you prefer). My parents wanted water to drink, so we decided not to partake of the beer and wine specials that evening. Mom had first pick of the appetizers and selected the Cheesy Comfort Bites, deep fried macaroni & cheese and cheese sticks served with marinara sauce. Dad unleased his inner gardener and went with the Veggie Sticks, fried green beans and zucchini dished up with outstanding tzatziki and marinara sauces. The green beans were my favorite starter of the night. Jerry preferred the Calamari. With only a hint of breading, lightly fried, and seasoned with an herb mixture we noticed on other dishes throughout the evening, the tender squid had a fresh, bright taste with a squeeze of lemon. Service throughout the meal was friendly and attentive. Our glasses were never empty. My entrée and Dad's came with a choice of soup or salad. I had the soup of the day, a creamy Tomato Basil. Dad opted for the House Salad (lettuce, tomato, cucumber, and mozzarella cheese). The kitchen was quite prompt with the main dishes, so Mom and Jerry didn't have to watch us eat. Jerry tried the Pork Souvlaki. Mounded on a bed of lettuce and sautéed peppers, the marinated pork was served with a tangy Onion-Tomato Relish, homemade Tzatziki, toasted Pita Bread, and a choice of side. He had the sweet, crunchy Onion Rings. Dad's Creamy Parmesan Dinner with Grilled Chicken was a luscious steal. Even with all of us sampling it, he had more than half left to take home. I had the Filet and Shrimp special of the day. Kudos to the kitchen. My steak arrived exactly as ordered, rare with a cool red center. Herbed plump shrimp and a bourbon glazed steak were a tasty duo. I picked the Vegetable of the Day as my side (zucchini, carrots, squash, cauliflower, and broccoli sautéed in white wine and herbs). Mom had the Big Shot Louie Burger. The hand pattied, juicy burger was cooked to order and topped with crispy bacon, sausage, grilled onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, Swiss cheese, and herbed mayonnaise. She elected to try the Rustic Orzo as her side. We all agreed it was fantastic and loved the addition of sausage on a burger. On another night we ordered takeout and tried the Villa Grill flatbreads and salads. Jerry picked up the Spinach Salad (spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, bell peppers, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries, and mozzarella), Old Country-style Salad (tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, feta cheese, and Greek dressing *no lettuce*), BBQ Chicken Pizza (chicken, bacon, red onions, BBQ sauce, and mozzarella), and a Super Special Pizza (pepperoni, beef, sausage, onions, black olives, green peppers, red sauce, and mozzarella). The BBQ Chicken Pizza had a terrific crust, bit of sweetness from the sauce and red onion, and plenty of bacon and cheese. All the veggies in the salads were fresh and crisp. Generous portions, prompt service, and a casual atmosphere make Villa Grill a fantastic choice whether you are picking up a pizza or dining in with your family. This is our go to place for takeout when we just need something to grab quickly for dinner. My husband LOVES their jerk chicken wings and I usually get the blanca (white) flatbread pizza so we can eat the leftovers for lunch. Another favorite is the spinach salad with grilled salmon. The salmon isn't on the menu but if you ask, they will put it on the salad. The owner is just the sweetest lady ever and always so welcoming. This seems to be a popular local Italian eatery. Had the lobster ravioli and spaghetti with meat sauce; they were good, and from the fact that there were no seats left when we arrived, very predictable. The service was excellent; they truly seemed like they cared about their customers. read more

Nice non-chain Italian restaurant. Oversized booths are great for bigger families, as are the large portion sizes. My daughter had the fried calamari, which was perfectly crisped and quite delicious. Her husband had the souvlaki; equal to what Clemmon's Kitchen serves, but accompanied by pita and uber fresh tomato and onion. My husband had a 15 in flat bread: BBQ chicken. Yum! Plus there's enough for breakfast tomorrow, lol. I had the baked ziti, also quite good with lots leftover. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, although he did mix up a sweet tea/unsweet tea order. Went for a late afternoon dinner. The place was empty and all the help were eating in the back seating area. Service was okay and I understand people need to eat but there was nobody in the kitchen area. Had to wait a while to get our order. My spouse ordered the Chicken Souvlaki. Her meal was normal, not particularly memorable. My soup was acceptable. Not so with the antipasto, the meats were about as Italian as this German guy from Virginia. Just very cheap stuff from Food Lion and worst of all were the vegetables, ha! They were obviously thawed recently and were very cold and tasteless. I honestly just come here to get take outs because I live right across the highway, but they always get my orders right and they are always ready when they say they will be. Very friendly staff and nice happy vibe in the place when I go inside. I'm probably weird but they have the best wings in clemmons, thats what I always get. I'm stuck on their Greek seasoned wings, I can't get enough of them. My wife loves their salads and their pasta dishes. Thanks for always coming through for us guys! Just giving 4 stars, cause 5 seems so over the top and we all have room to improve, but 5 works too, for several reasons........ The food is good. It's nice home cooking type. The location is great for Clemmons folks, so nice to have a 'mom and pop' place, rather than a chain! Georgia is a precious smiling face, all the time, nice as can be!! Staff seem happy and kind, a happy work place, I'm guessing, that's valuable and keeps them cheerful. They close on some summer holiday weekends, which I find incredibly wise, cause really, everyone is at a back yard bbq, I'm so glad they take time to rest, very important!! And nice for the staff to have off those times. I have eaten a lot of foods here, and go somewhat frequently, as well as all the many folks we have dined with; all is very good and reasonably priced. Especially fond of the flatbreads, they are excellent. I don't eat meat, so I'm usually improvising some menu items, and they are happy to accommodate (make some more vegan/veg. dishes please!!). The Italian dishes are quite nice and hearty. The wine choices are great, nice pour, and price. I hope you are all around for some time, it's great having you in our little town!! We live close by and love to come to this place. The food is consistently good. They serve beer and wine and have a decent selection. Prices are very reasonable. Their souvlaki is wonderful here. I can never eat it all. Their flatbreads are what we come back for though. The Islander (Canadian bacon and pineapple) is our favorite, but the Carnivore is my husband's favorite. I had take out tonight. A flatbread pizza and a side salad. First off, the salad was served in a Styrofoam container like the old McDonalds hamburgers used to come in. When I opened it, the salad was nothing more than Iceberg lettuce shaved to look like cold slaw. In fact, that is exactly what I thought it was. I hesitated a minute when looking at it. Had they given me the wrong order? Then I saw the one cucumber slice and one tomato. Oh Boy, I thought, this was a mistake. There were no mixed greens or anything green for that matter. There was Nothing that looked healthy. The Blu Cheese dressing was so refrigerated that it had to be spooned out onto my "slaw salad" with the constancy of cream cheese. I tried to mix it in, but it was futile. I threw the entire thing in the trash. Then I carefully opened the pizza. The pizza, or flat bread as the call it, was tough on the outside and soggy in the middle. I was so starved that I forced myself to eat it. But what an utter disappointed. So, TWENTY DOLLARS later, I am left with indigestion and regrets that I didn't just go to Chick-Fil-A. It was a terrible meal on every angle. Never again. read more
