We've been eating as much bruschetta as possible; it's been amazing at each of these places. Loved it here as well. The bufalo mozzarella is what I enjoyed. It's chopped in cubes here with the fresh tomatoes and makes it easy to eat. We also had the lasagna. We were not super hungry and it was just enough between both of them to fill us both; we enjoyed it. This can be as quick as you need it. I think we were in and out in 30 minutes but we could have stayed longer if we wanted. I took a picture of my wife here too so you can see. We were essentially up an alley way but it was perfect and tucked in; you would never notice it's a restaurant if you weren't looking for it.

You can tell that every item is hand selected from the olive oil on the table to the house wine selections. Nothing is unintentional & everything is chosen to enhance the menu. The family that runs the restaurant made us feel at home, the portions were generous, the service was so personal & the homemade limoncello was a divine way to end a spectacular meal. The baby squid on pumpkin puree was the best squid preparation I have ever had, the salads were excellent, the pastas were perfection, the fish was so fresh & the preparation with tomatoes & potato was delightful. My daughter had a "complaint" in that she wanted to see the fish head of our flounder... I told her that they cleaned the fish for us, but somehow, the papa heard her in a way that only a papa would & appeared with the fish head on a plate for her to see... she couldn't get over it! It's a smaller menu with each item perfected. I'll be dreaming of returning as I can't imagine coming back to Amalfi without dining here again!

We started with the Fiori de zuccha ripieni and it was phenomenal. It was lightly fried with a slight crisp outer crust and the cheese was creamy. A delightful starter. We also had the Provola affumicata e salame calabro crostoni. The salame was spicy but delicious. The dough had amazing flavors of garlic and cheese. It was simply delightful. My husband had the sea bass in a lemon butter sauce with potato's. The potato's had a nice crisp on the outside. I had the special of the day, which was the ragu with sausage, meatballs and short ribs. The pasta was similar to a rigatoni but bigger. The sauce was delicious. Their house wine was a perfect touch to pair with our meal. We ended it with some limoncello. We were too full to eat any dessert. I'm sure it would have been delicious. After each course, they brought out clean silverware, which is a nice touch. I also noticed that a lot of restaurants throughout Italy plays American music but this restaurant played Italian music which was a nice touch.

While the menu was amazing and extensive, I was in the mood for something that wasn't on the menu. So I asked the maître d' if he could accommodate me. We needed to ask another server for our check and once it arrived, the server ignored us again. My husband had to approach the cashier in order to pay our check. Unacceptable. To cap off the lack of service, we were ignored once again and had to wait over 30 minutes for the shuttle to return us to our hotel. We give high marks for food; low marks for service.
