Very pricy in my opinion for a child's haircut and very time consuming. In my opinion $35. For a child's haircut is way too much. They do a great job but they're very tedious. I come to this place whenever my barber isn't available. The staff has been friendly and listen to what I ask in a haircut for my nephews. They take cash only because their pay system is down but Nextdoor at the smoke shop there's an atm. read more

First time coming to this barbershop to bring my nephew and we left with a smile on our face! First the service was great we were greeted well with smiles! Our barber was Lalo and he was one of the greatest! He did exactly what my nephew wanted and left nephew leave with a smile! We have never found a barber that gives us what we want for his hair cut but coming to this place and meeting Lalo changed everything! This is our go to spot now! Honestly they just don't take there time. Haircuts are uneven, a ton of small hairs are left popping up, and to be charging 30 bucks. I would just recommend not to go to this place. They just really don't care if your a new customer. The same energy needs to be given to everyone who comes in. read more

worst experience. i arrived at 9:00am my son was seated at a females chair right away. i sent my 11yr old son with a photo. a reference of how i wanted his hair cut. at 9:53 he walks out with a somewhat taper. only the neck and sideburns cleaned up. 53minutes for something i could have done at home with a razor. i asked the woman if she can please do the hair cut im asking for. 10:38 my son walks out again with a jakced up cut!! looking like a bowl cut!!! the scissors marking and the skin did not blend at allllll. i walked in and asked to speak with the owner, the boss the head in charge and asked him to step out so i can speak with them. my intention was to speak with him to the side to avoid his female barber's feelings getting hurt. his response was "take a seat i dont have time right now" i said "no, i dont have time right now. i know you seen my son walk in here twice. i been here since 9:00 i need his hair fixed right now. he responded with "what you want me to do? i said i dont have time right now. take a seat. how much did you pay." tried to give me my money back which i didnt accept i wanted my sons hair fixed. he starts school monday. in 2 days!!!! he went back to doing his cut and said "i dont have time" walked to his counter and slapped the money down. what a clown. he couldnt say nothing else but "i dont got time" because he knows my sons hair was fucked up and wanted me to leave to avoid his shop from embarrassment. wasted 2hrs here for nothing. i drove to cien barbershop. asked if he can fix my sons haircut and provided the photo to him as well. he said most deff. this villa "barbershop" is pathetic. i wish i could have taken a photo before he got it fixed but iv wasted enough of my saturday morning !! funny i have to rate a star to post my review. not even worth the star but here you go ill slap it on the counter for ya ! read more

Use to come here often until I got tired of the stupid Hair politics that goes on here. There is a few things you need to know about this place the 1. first is that most of these people may or may not be licensed at all to cut hair. 2. Most the barbers dont even speak english at all, (so you might as well put up a sign and say NO HABLES ENGLISH) 3. there is a politic for waiting in line to get the barber you want which in my mind is just total BULL#####. Sometimes you could even be waiting for a barber and then all of a sudden some jerk idiot will walk up whos good friends with the barber and they get the previlage of getting the next haircut all when youve been waiting to get a haircut. 4. They like to use razor blades here to clean up your neck, tread with caution because im not certain they clean there blades. read more

I noticed that there are plenty of barbers working at the same time so the wait isnt long at all even at the peak times of business, but u do have to make sure other customers dont try to cut in front of you. I recieved an awesome haircut from a man named Lalo. Lalo was polite, kind and is extremely skilled at giving haircuts. All and all for my first time i had a good experience. Ive been going to this barber shop for over 15 years since I was a teen. I have worked my way through many of the barbers. They are ALL licensed with the exception of those that are training. But since you get to chose your barber thats not a big deal. The politics is not really politics its a system of organizing a line. Its EASY you walk up to the barber you want to cut your hair and you ask them how many they have and theyll let you know if you have to wait or if you are next. If you dont want to wait ask another barber. I dont see how this is politics. And if you are waiting the barber who doesnt have anyone always comes to you and asks you if you want a haircut. I love that they use straight razors and not the piece of crap disposable ones. They are mandated by law to clean them and they do by keeping them in a jar of alcohol just like they do with all their other products. If you go here often enough the barbers become part of your extended family. I love that i can call my barber and ask him if hes free and if hell be there at a certain time since i drive in from orange county now. I also love watching futbol and other sports in there and chatting it up about all kinds of things. They also most understand english and speak it as well. Like i said... there is a reason I have been coming here for 15 years, friendly barbers, affordable prices, great cuts! (i once paid 20 for a wack cut in long beach at razorbacks, these guys are pros. also the $$ is misleading they have the cheapest cuts ive come across $12 read more

Highly recommend this shop to anyone seeking a great cut. I am a regular customer or should I say "CLIENT".. hahaha na but with all truth this place is more than great because they truly embrace their service and care about providing stylist hair service. The great thing about the this shop is that it caters to all ages, male or female . I generally cut my hair with "Lalo" first chair to the right as you enter or "Raul" next chair over. I can't stress enough that I can sit with them or other first 3 chairs across (to the left as you enter) and feel confident I will come off the chair feeling satisfied about my hair cut. I been a client of theirs for over 8yrs and never really had a bad experience. If you like a particular barber I would request if they take appointments to decrease your wait. Or if you walk in ask how many clients that baber has so you have an approximate time frame as to when you get next. Their busiest times from my experience are Friday afternoons and morning-mid afternoon Saturdays. read more

This Barbor shop has been I Carson 25-30 years, evey single Barber gives very good haircuts, if u have a favorite they will take care of you , don't forget the tip, even if you do they still give great cuts even if you are " cheap ", but they do deserve it. read more

I been going to la Villa barber shop since I was small I cut my hair with Lalo he does some fly haircuts

Let me start off by saying that they do a really good job. My sons have went to Gato and Lalo. Both my sons used to go to gato but then he wasn't there more and more often so my older son started to go to lalo. I know Friday's can get hectic so I took my son out of school 30 minutes early bc lalo supposedly doesn't start till 3. I called at 2:45 and they said HE DOESNT START TILL 3, HES NOT HERE YET. 5 minutes later I walk in and Lalo is already there and has 5 invisible ppl in line. So they txt his personal phone line in order to cut the line. Not even being present at the barber shop! That's not even what made me upset though! So I ask gato how many ppl for my toddler and I asked lalo how many ppl were waiting for him? Gato says 6 and Lalo says 4. I guess gato was upset that we waited for lalo to cut one of my sons hair. We waited 1 hr and 35 min for lalo to cut my sons hair for him to tell me, I only made room for one of your sons not both! Wtf?!?! Are u kidding me! I didn't know i was any different than the other guys besides being a female bringing in multiple ppl to get haircuts! But this is the way they act! Time to find a new barber for Both of my sons. And I will no longer refer them to any of my friends. read more
