Caesar Salad with so many croutons!!
    Jen R.

I loved this place so much! It felt so fancy inside and the staff was so amazing and helpful! With so many options to choose from we had to lean on our waitress for help! We went in for a full four course meal but definitely came out with some leftovers! We started with their special drink of the night the black raspberry spritz which was so smooth! My friend insisted on getting the bruschetta which was so perfectly salty and crunchy but sweet with the tomatoes! We got some heavenly rolls, butter, and dipping oil right when our salads came out. They were like pillowy croissants almost!! The Caesar salad tasted like it had homemade dressing - amazing!!! By the time our pasta came I was already full but had to try some of the amazing tortellini! The creamy marinara sauce was so good!! I loved all the veggies on the plate too! I knew I was having dessert and coffee so I had to save space in my stomach. So glad I did because the tiramisu was to die for! So light and airy!! I absolutely loved this place!!

Still 5 stars and still great service. The food is consistently fantastic--Shrimp and Scallop Pesto is probably my favorite item on the menu, with the calamari a close second. I love that the quality of both the food and service has remained top-notch after all these years.

What a great find! After a long day of driving, we were hungry and we read the excellent reviews for Villa Amore. A family-owned restaurant, it more than lives up to its reputation. The food is excellent; I ordered the tortellini primavera and my dining partner ordered the Carsoni, a fettuccine dish with fresh vegetables and pesto. The bread with olive oil is also to die for! The presentation is excellent and the service from Katie was fast and friendly. The dining area is larger than it looks from outside with white tablecloths and a lot of space between tables so it's quiet. The night I dined the AC was out, but they managed with floor fans and it was quite comfortable. Will be back!

Amazing, but apparently has been nearly 3 years since our last food experience here. Us and Nancy R having late lunch of a variety. A shrimp and spicy marinara on angel hair. Other pasta variations also. Andi was an all time'Best Of' waiter for all our requests. Have NEVER experienced better than Andi.

This was our second visit to Villa Amore and we entered on a cold December night hoping for another great experience, like our last visit. The restaurant was busy, as it usually is, especially on a Friday night. The interior is a classic Italian ristorante and the greeters were prompt, polite, and quickly seated us. We began with drinks, an Italian Sausage appetizer and their homemade bread with olive oil to dip in. In our last visit the homemade dinner rolls were a huge hit. Fresh, soft, and warm. Not so tonight. The rolls were not warm and didn't appear to be as fresh. The appetizer was good, but not outstanding. For dinner I ordered the Veal Picatta and my wife got the Salmon Tre. She loved her dish, flavorful, full of good sautéed veggies and a perfectly done piece of salmon. My Veal Picatta was a disappointment. It had an overwhelming taste and aroma of artichokes and lemon. I expected the lemon in a Picatta but not the artichokes. The veal was sliced into small, thin medallions and lacked seasoning and taste. Service was good. Our server, Katie was pleasant, well informed, and attentive. So overall the experience at Villa Amore was just average on our second visit. That said, I would return, because the overall experience from both visits has still been very good and the menu has a lot more great options to try.

You need to try this place. Very sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere. Food was great as well with good sized portions! Ana was so kind and helpful during our visit. Would happily come again when in Lincoln.

Oh my goodness. This place is fantastic. The food is amazing and does not taste like store bought or mass produced food. It is delicious and authentic. The service is outstanding and my waiter was a class act. The atmosphere is so fancy and so comfortable. I will be happy to come back again and again. This is a must have for Italian lovers.

The Barred Owl is the rooftop restaurant of The Scarlet Lincoln Tribute Hotel…read more Since we were staying the night at The Scarlet, we popped in for drinks and an appetizer. I'm going to agree with many of the reviews regarding service. They have a serious server issue. I'm not sure why they are so short staffed. They are right next to a university so they should be able to hire plenty of servers but the night we came in for drinks, only 1 server and the bartenders and a manager were running around trying to take care of the customers. Even so, several customers including us had to go to the bar for service. Customers were not happy. We sat at a table adjacent to the bar so we could watch the NHL draft. The bar was packed both inside and out. The bar is very nice with large TV's and plenty of nice table seating inside and out. With all the service issues being said, the bartender did take very good care of us and even though the wrong drinks were delivered, she comped them and made us new drinks which were delicious. The bartender constantly checked on us and we never saw the server except when she delivered the chips & dip we ordered. I'm going to give The Barred Owl 3 stars because it is a beautiful restaurant with a great outdoor patio. The bartender's were working their tails off to service the crowd and our drinks were good.m I can't comment in the food since we just had a snack. Management has a serious problem to work through regarding staffing and service but if they can fix that it should be a great spot.

Got a couple drinks and saw some other guests food arriving so we opted to cancel our dinner plans and stick around for food as well. Have zero regrets! The short rib totchos were SO GOOD. The truffle fries (yes we like potatoes) and the bee and the butcher flatbread were also great! The flatbread was so cheesy it was amazing! Would definitely recommend! And come back if we're back in Lincoln again!

We made a reservation for 5 PM when they opened on a Friday night. My first good impression of this restaurant was their well dressed and mannered staff. The hostesses and servers were ready for us! The coat rack up front is a nice touch too. We were seated next to the window with a beautiful snowy view of downtown Lincoln. Our server was so sweet and made sure we had a wonderful first dining experience. All of the food was fantastic. Our favorite dishes were the parsnip soup and blood orange toast. I think their menu changes monthly because it was printed. The drinks were okay. I got a non alcoholic cucumber "martini". My husband got a Moscow mule, but it was too tart for his taste. If we ordered drinks again in the future, we would try something else. Other than that, I highly recommend this spot! Thank you chefs for the amazing food and staff for a memorable dinner.
