Disturbingly rude manager, inconsiderate of his staff and his customers. Was made to wait over an hour and 30 minutes past our reservation, and waited through the entire meal to speak to him. He didn't even apologize. They were overbooked, and understaffed. He looked at me like I was a small woman, did not even give me the time of day to continue, then walked away. I worked in the service industry for years, and never has a restaurant I worked at been this backed up, with only one hostess. There was a crowd by the door the entire night, and the host was obviously riddled with anxiety, being yelled at over and over. Food of course is authentic Italian, but to not even apologize and put all of the burden on your servers and hosts leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Will not be visiting here again. read more

My wife and I came here after seeing the restaurant on the road and decided to give the place a try. I cannot recommend a better Italian restaurant in Lincoln. We were blown away by how good the food was, how polite and gracious the staff was and how great the quality of each food item was. Highly recommend this place to anyone who likes Italian food. Lovely restaurant with linen table cloths and napkins. There were specials that looked really good! Our server was delightful, efficient and was able to recommend a great wine pairing. I had the Seafood in creamy pesto sauce, containing large plump shrimp and lots of scallops. Just delicious! My husband requested something that wasn't on the menu, but they were happy to accommodate his request. We were both too full full for desert, but a neighboring table ordered the Tiramisu and exclaimed how good it was. This restaurant was connected to a hotel and had a chain feel to it. But for all that, the service was top notch, among the best I have experienced in the past two years and the food was pretty good. I had the chicken and sausage pasta and my wife had Veal Limone. We also had the calamari appetizer. The Calamari was well prepared and decent, not the best I have ever had but passable. It could have come with a little more sauce and lemon (we could have asked, but didn't.) The chicken and sausage had a creamy pesto sauce and I thought this was the best dish. The sausage was surprisingly tasty and this is high praise from someone who makes his own from scratch. The wife thought the veal was a little tough, but I also thought the dish was pretty tasty as well. The veal wasn't pounded as thin as it could have been and maybe that's why it wasn't as tender. Nonetheless, it was tender enough. I would definitely stop here again - decent food, outstanding service and reasonably priced - a pretty good bargain overall. read more

I am giving 4 because I can't give 4.5. They kind of forgot about us. We almost left, but then the waiter came and after that the service was good. We got the tour of Italy and not sure what she got it was cheese and spinach stuffed something but it was very good could tell it was from scratch. The César salad was also great they definitely made the dressing from scratch as well. We got calamari as an appetizer was nothing special but good. The bread was great and we got the chicken potato soup it was also good not great like the salad but good. They also had a olive oil bread dip that was pretty good. We had dinner and were sadly disappointed. Ordered bruschetta as an appetizer and really couldn't identify if we really had tomatoes or red onions on the bread. Additionally, the bread was drenched in balsamic vinegar which made it fairly soggy. I had the pizzaioli, I had ordered sausage but got sausage and chicken. Bothe the sausage and chicken were a bit dry. The sauce had been poured over the pasta, which was dry where the sauce hadn't covered it . We would have preferred to have the pasta finished in the sauce. My husband ordered the pasta in brandy sauce and had a similar experience. We've heard so much good about this restaurant but it unfortunately didn't live up to the hype. read more

Please, people, frequent this restaurant so that they stay in business! The food is excellent and we need a good Italian restaurant in North Lincoln. We started our meal with the bruschetta. I liked the flavor and the size of the bread was good. I would maybe add a little more cheese but otherwise it was great. I then ordered the Pizzailoa with sausage. It had an abundance of sausage and the brandy sauce had a nice flavor. There were lots of onions which I liked. My husband ordered the lasagna and I tried some of his and I thought it was delicious! Very cheesy! The service was attentive and they even brought me a couple of extra rolls when we were ready to leave when I mentioned how much I loved them. This is by far one of the most impressive dining experiences I've had in my life! The food was absolutely divine and so authentic. The atmosphere was lovely and great for a romanic evening, and they offer a couple outside seating options however it is attached to a hotel. The waiter was so passionate, eager to make adjustments to a dish, and could easily name all the ingredients to dishes. I just happened to be driving through Lincoln and passed by a discreet sign that indicated the Italian Restaurant is open. I stopped in for a brief lunch and enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal. The waitstaff was amicable and friendly to any suggestion that I had in mind. Chicken and Potato Soup was the opener, followed by a small salad and then the main dish, which was a lunch special that had a tasty italian sausage cooked with pasta and olive oil. So good, so well made with care by professionals that are not in a rush. I would recommend this fine establishment anytime to anyone. The paintings on the wall depicting scenes from Venice and Paris augment the experience very nicely. Visited this restaurant yesterday with my Friday lunch group. Had such high expectations. The food was good. I had the meatball sub (I just can't help myself) and it was delicious. I had the soup and was disappointed (chunks of thickening agent in the bowl--yuck). My lunch companions had the salad (extra $2 charge to substitute for the soup) and it looked appealing. My husband had the sampler and was disappointed that it was all covered with a sauce (are you hiding something?). Biggest problem was after we arrived (not all at the same time) the waitstaff disappeared and did not return. We had to go find someone to take our order. My boyfriend and I went at around 7 pm on a Monday and the dining room was pretty busy, considering it was a Monday. Our server was very friendly and service was fairly quick. The service here is absolutely terrible. I walked into the restaurant and nobody was around at the hostess stand. I waited a few minutes and then decided to sit at the bar. 30 minutes later, after 4-5 employees each walked behind the bar to get their own drinks, one finally spoke to me and told me someone would be out to help me soon. 10 minutes later, still nothing. What a wonderful experience! We called a few days earlier to ask about the ambiance as we needed a very relaxed low key environment to make my Mother's 83rd birthday special. A lovely young woman named Anna from Ireland said she had the perfect table and could not have been kinder and more reassuring we had picked the right place. Now, some places that you call might say that on the phone and when you get there? It's as if you had never called. Not here! Beautiful Anna greeted us at the door and had the perfect table for us reserved. This set the tone for the entire experience. Kelli waited on us and was the only server working that day as someone had called in. She was AMAZING. She served the whole dining room that was packed (and it never felt frenetic, rushed or lacking). We ordered the sausage appetizer and bruschetta. The sausage appetizer was phenomenal! I would have been happy with that and a salad! Their salads are fresh and the balsamic vinegarette is one of the best I have had. We ordered Chicken Saltimbocca, Shrimp Scampi, Lobster & Shrimp Ravioli and Chicken Parmesan. All were tasty and plentiful! At the end of the meal, Anna and Kelli brought out lemon cake with a candle in it and helps us sing to my Mother. It was such a special day for her and these two ladies were a big part of that.
