Best Dive Charter Boat in Pensacola..... Hand Down!!…read more I have dove on a lot of Dive Charters in my years but the service and professionalism is hands down the best I've ever had. Capt. Doug was very accomadating to all my needs including a last minute need for only one tank and he was able to help me with an equipment malfunction too. Once at the site I was met at the dock and all my gear and tanks were loaded by the smiling boat crew and the Captain. The boat left the Marina on time and the ride out seemed short as we snacked on fresh fruit and told stories of our travels. Dive Master Rich gave a very thorough Breifing of the Oriskany and I felt very at ease by the time we arrived on site to begin the dive. Everything went smooth and I could not have been happier with the service provided by the crew and Captain. I will definately be diving with the H2O Below again!

I called Captain Douglas direct to schedule my dive trip. I met the boat at the Harbor and was greeted promptly. They even have a cart to carry your equipment to the boat. I was coming from out of town and landing the night before the dive and could not pick up my own tanks. CPT Doug made arrangements and my Nitrox tanks were waiting for me on the boat. I can't say enough about the great service and friendly attitude of CPT Doug and his DiveMaster. The boat was run well and full of safety equipment. The briefings were in detailed and easy to understand. The dive itself was great too. The USS Oriskany is a must dive. We had hot dogs, chips, snacks, and sodas provided on the trip. Very enjoyable. In the top 2 dive charters I have been on in the United States.

A really excellent A/N/AF/M/CG [Army / Navy / Air Force / Marine / Coast Guard] "surplus" store -…read morewhich is to say that in addition to "experienced" gear they also keep an EXCELLENT selection of new [greenhorn?] items currently, recently or previously used by various armed forces / first responders and the elite proletarian guard [police types]... notably a good selection of Red Rock bags and a SUPER selection of Real Live Genuine Made In USA 550 Paracord for all your cording and tie things up, down, etc. needs... The helpers are quite nice, well informed, helpful and polite + hours are reasonable enough to accommodate the majority of schedules. Prices seem quite reasonable from what I saw - although I only went in for a single item [BDU desert weight pants - YAY! cargo pants from Mars] and these were less than paid for same / similar item at BOTH other surplus establishments OR online resources. They also have a genuine dog tag maker machine with a good selection of blanks, though if you have your heart set on a pair or three of these EXCELLENT identification items - call first to make sure an operator for this cool machine will be around. BONUS: this store is located in a REALLY cool [read: non-white] part of Pcola with some excellent dining options [YAY! Oscar's the Hot Cake King!!!] and several funky groovy thrift stores - where you can part with some of the moneys you saved at Brownsville... FULL DISCLOSURE: I am a fan of all things military & surplus and survival / camping / Zombie Apocalypse and generally find these types of stores cool Cool COOL; some being better than others and Brownsville being one of the better ones I've been through / found / visited. Zenjoy.
