We are so happy we stumbled upon this place this week. We've been to Pensacola several times but didn't notice this place before. They took such good care of our family which includes a toddler and young child. They're quick and thoroughly explain what you need to know and you're out on the water in no time. We rented stand up paddle boards and kayaks several times. Great customer service and absolutely love that this is a long time family owned business. They are down to earth and so friendly. There are other places you can rent from but they've been bought out by corporate companies and have lost that family owned touch and customer service. WE ARE LOCAL AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND RENTING A PONTOON FROM THIS COMPANY BASED ON THIS EXPERIENCE. We have rented sailboats and done parasailing with them with no issues. Reserved/rented "deluxe" pontoon boat for Labor Day. Mechanically the boat functioned. Appearance and safety wise...huge disappointment. See photos. Customer service: check in busy. Launch person was not interested in providing even basic info. Recovery person was welcoming, gave great instructions and was helpful. Due to safety concerns (see pictures) will NOT rent from them again. We understand boats age but to rent with those issues AND not even bother to do basic cleaning is unsafe and unsanitary. When we made the decision to vacation in Florida, I knew that I wanted to go on a dolphin sighting expedition. I found Key Sailing on Yelp, David booked it and we were all set. We arrived at Key Sailing a half hour before our sunset trip, as we were told, and we were loaded onto a big boat at exactly 5:45. The good size boat held a lot of people, but didn't feel crowded, water was provided and the whole thing felt very safe. After a few minutes of preliminary instructions, we were on our way. First of all, one of the highlights for me was just getting out on the water and being on the boat. We drove way out into the Gulf for about 45 minutes, so we had a good chance of seeing some dolphins. Our boat "captain" was in constant communication with other boats who had spotted dolphins, so that we had a better chance of seeing some for ourselves. I'm not going to tell you that we saw dolphins majestically jumping out of the water as the sun was setting. As the captain told us- dolphins are wild animals that are going to do what they want to do. However, we did get to see a few groups of dolphins as they were feeding and that was pretty cool. Seeing them can be tricky, because you don't know if you're looking at a wave or a fin, but once you get the hang of it, you have no problem spotting them. I wish I had been able to see more, but I was happy that I saw any and, like I said, I enjoyed being on the boat. On the way back, we were able to see the most beautiful sunset and admire the Florida coast from afar- it was a night to remember. I would absolutely recommend Key Sailing- the trip was great, everyone was professional and it was a lot of fun! read more

We went on the dolphin Jet ski tour. It was awesome! We saw tons of dolphins and other sea creatures! An added bonus the Blue Angels were practicing over head. I'd have to saw this beat our Costa Rica dolphin tour. There's nothing like the emerald green Gulf of Mexico. We saw people on a boat dolphin tour and I'd say the jet ski's are the way to go!!! Stopped in while on vacation after damaging the main traveler car on our old Hobie 16. They had the part on hand and were able to explain what to do to swap out the damaged one and reinstall, just for us to realize that we needed more tools than we had with us. Capt Kirk (the owner) was able to help us out, swap out the car and explain the quick, easy way to reinstall. Whole visit took 20 minutes and we were back out on the water in an hour. Every time we have been in Pensacola and stopped by either for parts or parasailing or whatever else the staff at Key Sailing has always been quick and courteous, no matter how busy they have been or how obscure the question or Hobie part we are looking for has been. Strongly recommend paying them a visit, I am sure we will be back next year. read more

This business is located at the end of Quietwater Boardwalk on the other side of Hemingways. It is on the first floor underneath Surf Burger and around for a very long time. I have rented jet skis here years ago but today, my dad and I tried something different. He rented a single kayak ($15/hour) and me, a paddle board ($25/hour). The staff were very friendly and the girl at the front offered to let me leave my purse behind the front counter. There are several types of water sports you can fulfill at this place. Parasailing, dinner cruises, jet skis, paddle boarding, single/double kayaking, pontoon boat and catamaran rentals. ATTENTION.... Do not use Key Sailing for Parasailing! The Rope broke when my daughter and two other kids were on it! They said it happens all of the time! Seriously the scariest thing ever!! Go somewhere else! I'm very thankful they had a safe landing in the ocean and no one got hurt... but the fact that the manager acted like this happens all the time, is a crock!!! 2 years ago, 3 years ago, 14 years ago is all the years we heard when it last happened! We rented a pontoon boat with them. Ryan showed us quickly how to use the boat and mentioned what might go wrong with boat and it did, but one quick call and they raced out on jet skis, got us back, quickly fixed it and gave us lots of options on timing, refunds so we can always best choice, but they were able to quickly fix it, showed us issue and gave us our full time and we were back out in 10 minutes and had our full time. Easy location right behind Hemingway's and beautiful location as we went to royal point which they suggested and we saw dolphins during our bait trip! Very strong customer service, great spot to quickly go multiple ways. If renting pontoon do remember to get there 15-25 minutes early so you can leave when your time is scheduled. read more

My 15 year-old niece talked my husband & I into this adventure. The last time was did this was 12 years ago in Hawaii on our honeymoon. The 2 guys who worked on the boat were entertaining and professional. We opted to buy the GoPro that you wear on your wrist that takes pictures every 2 seconds. It took over 300 pictures and about 100 or so were good/usable. I flipped the GoPro around a few times to get other/different pictures. I should have brought my phone so people on the boat could take pics of us FROM the boat. That's my only regret. Super fun ride though! Pricey but fun! We rented a jet ski for 3 people. My gf, kid and myself. Everyone was nice and explained rules/boundaries well. Best part was we had a group of dolphins come in as we were riding. Amazing experience overall. Just a little info, if you are born after 1-1-88 you need to take the boater safety course unless you took one in your home state. You need the license with you or you'll have to take the Florida test. Relatively easy to pass and good for one year. read more

Great experience parasailing!! The crew was awesome, not 100% sure their names...I think the deck hands name was Brian (beefy fella with a respectable beard) and I believe I remember hearing them call the captain, captain amazing (blonde shaggy hair thinner guy). 2 other couples were on the boat with us. The crew was very friendly and made us comfortable, the beefy fella with the beard was cracking me up....the crew definitely made it memorable. Went around and got some great pictures and videos with my gopro. Signing up and everything at the storefront was painfree and simple. I paid up and had a hour to kill, got back when it was time and signed a form. The guy there was a middle aged fella with a great attitude and made us laugh. Everyone in the facility seems laid back and happy to be there. It was a Thursday and everything was sorta slow...they seemed to enjoy something to do and glad some folks showed up. We stopped by shortly after they opened in the morning to try out paddle boarding, they suggested we come after noon time as the winds would be calmer and make for a more enjoyable experience. The problem was that my wife's jet ski was so slow she couldn't keep up, and at one point was separated from us and afraid she would get lost. We went on vacation to our home town of Pensacola and my parents came out to visit. My father decided that he wanted to go Parasailing with"his high school sweetheart " (my mom) and invited me, my wife and our three children to go with them. When we arrived the staffers all very friendly and accommodating. On the boat our captain Boog and his first mate Jesus took great care to make sure everyone was safe and enjoyed the trip. When our daughter changed her mind about taking a ride (from no to yes) they adjusted our groupings while my wife and I were in midair! Very disappointing experience at Key Sailing yesterday. After booking a boat the day before and calling the day of to confirm we were coming, they let our boat go just before we got there. That's not the worst part though...while they admitted it was their mistake, they were not very apologetic. We asked if they could call another rental place and they told us we could call. After raising a bit of fuss due more to the rudeness than the mistake, they sent someone (not the owner) over to apologize. Then they called an hour after we had left to say they had a boat come back in if we wanted it. That's great, even though too late as were gone by then, but, still, no apology from the owner. Is it so hard to look your customer in the eye and say, with sincerity, "I'm sorry. We messed up. We want to make it better. Let's talk."? read more
