    Iced Caramel Pecan Latte

Tasty caramel pecan iced latte this morning paired with a bakery treat and a Liberty Bay view- it's a wonderful day. Quality coffee, good service, great location. Be sure to visit and check out the coffee menu and more.

My first experience at Viking Brew was a great one. walking down the strip of shops in poulsbo is my favorite thing to do with visitors. This little coffee stand is just a window on the corner passed the toy store. It's a little hidden gem. The woman helping us was kind and helpful. She let us know what they had, what she liked, was quick and made a great drink! My love for white Mochas is strong, but only if they use the power not the syrup, which they do! We also got a free sticker with our drink!

If I could give less then one star I would. As someone who owns 3 businesses in our town, 1 of which is a VERY successful coffee house, I am shocked and appaled about the HORRIBLE customer service we received tonight. From asking the barista if she could please pour some of my americano out to add the extra cream and whip cream I asked for when ordering because upon handing me my cup it was missing, and her telling me "she didn't have to dump any out" To them forgetting my sugar free red bull and when I let them know we were still waiting for it, the other girl, clearly a manager, said we didn't pay for it, I said oh we ordered it, the first girl said "no, you asked if we had sugar free red bull" So I ordered one again, the first girl then rang me up for an entire spritzer, costing 6.25 for a can, I asked if that was the price for just a can, the manager came over and said no, and was going to refund me, while starting the process of refunding me, I let her know that the girl who helped me treated us rudely, that girl then proceeded to, in front of us at the espresso machine, start shaking her head and laughing at us, WOW! I pointed it out to her manager that she is now laughing at me as you can see, that manager, then called me a Karen told me i was raising my voice, I wasn't, put her boss on speaker phone, proceeded to yell at me, put the camera on me so her boss could see, pointing the phone at me, her other boss came in, heard her cuss at me, she thew my credit Card at me, AT. ME. ON. THE GROUND. Repeatedly yelling at me, badgering me, horrible, ALLLLLLL while these bosses did nothing, my mom had to record the whole thing because it was so shocking!!! Never in our lives have we been treated like this. NEVER under any circumstances is it ok to laugh at a customer, cuss at them or call them names, NEVER. This place should be absolutely ashamed. I will post on social media also and I expect an absolute apology. This whole process was stressful, embarrassing for me and especially for a small business in these times that should be about unity and absolutely shockingly insane the owners would allow this, especially in front of them. No customer should EVER be treated anything near this situation. Shocked and shook..

Perfect pairing of an iced chai and a just-the-right-amount-of-sweet blueberry danish. Will def put this place on the regular rotation.

Decent coffee, cool location, but the staff are rude. I'd pass for that reason and just go up the street.

Very rude service. We stood in line while the girl chatted on her phone right next to the coffee shop ignoring us.

Been to Viking Brew several times and have never been disappointed. By far, the best cup of coffee (white mocha) I have ever had.

Caffe Cocina "The Good, the bad, and the ugly"…read more Caffe Cocina is surprisingly busy, perhaps due the the Finn Hill Road drive through? I have very mixed feelings about this local Poulsbo, and soon to be Silverdale, establishment. The good: Caffe Cocina's food is arguably the best reason to visit one of their cafes. In particular, the chicken chorizo breakfast burritos are really delicious! The drink selection is extensive with some innovative twists on lattes and other coffee and tea based drinks. Unfortunately, I really judge a coffee shop on its ability to brew a really flavorful cup of black coffee - I will come back to that later in the review. The bad - The Finn Hill road location has mediocre to bad customer service depending on the day and the shift. Unless you are a charismatic individual under the age of 30, you are likely to be received with no shortage of attitude and general disdain...as if it is your pleasure to be ignored for as long as possible and then to have your order taken with the type of apathy that I would normally approach a Monday morning work conference call where you know you are going to have to listen to that one coworker that seems enamored with their ability to ask questions on points already sufficiently covered...I digress. The downtown location has much friendlier service, so head there if you do not require drive through services. The ugly - The coffee and coffee beans, probably tolerable if you are having an espresso-based drink, but I would shy away from the drip coffee and the beans for brewing coffee at home. The coffee is frankly over roasted, too oily, and decidedly one note for most of the beans that I have tried. I have sampled dark, medium, light roasts and single origins and have not tried anything worth recommending. Should this have been a 3 or a 4 star review? That depends on the location you are visiting and what you are visiting for. If you simply focus on the downtown location, I would by default increase this to a (4) star review due to the excellent customer service and the fact that they offer a pour over (unfortunately, the coffee is still mediocre). If you are visiting the Finn Hill location for anything other than the food, I stand by my (3) star review which is frankly generous given my experience most visits.

This location specifically is my favorite. (They have 1 downtown Poulsbo and another opening in Silverdale) It's the OG and everything about it whispers cozy coffee shop. A perfect place for a quiet date or a place to do some office work or meet with a friend. Even the outdoor seating is cozy. It's not a huge place so it's kind of forced into being cozy but they have used the space well. Even have a drive through. Though fair warning as this is the best coffee around that drive through line leaks onto the main rd and you may be better off just going inside. They also have such unique specials for espresso based drinks. I have never been led wrong by their flavor combos. The also sell single origin ethiopa coffee and canned cold brew, 2 things I am always on the hunt for.

There is no place to sit inside but there are sidewalk benches or you can walk as you snack. I love that you can look at all the pastries from the side walk. They not only entice you to get a pastry or three but you can plan out what you want while waiting in line. When you order, if I remember correctly, you only get your items in a box if you order more than six items. If you order less they are placed into a waxed bag. I ordered the sour cream donut, Viking cup, and a butterhorn with almonds. I loved them all! They all tasted so fresh, had a great texture, and was absolutely yummy. There was a line out the door even 30 minutes before closing, but it went pretty fast and the shelves were also well stocked with pastries; not bare like I expected them to be coming so soon before closing. The person behind the counter explained that the Viking cups were all 20% off as the batch that day came out with irregular shapes. Taste wise it wasn't bad, tastes like a regular cinnamon roll but with more of that homemade touch you get with good quality ingredients and handmade cream cheese frosting (the contrast from store bought to homemade is big when it comes to cream cheese). The frosting had good texture and surprisingly I liked it better than the actual roll, especially since I'm known to always remove cream cheese icing. I think the roll would have been better if it had been served warm. Overall it was not bad, a little sweeter than I would have preferred, but I'm also not a huge cinnamon roll or cream cheese fan because of how sweet they always are in general, so that could just be a personal preference. Want to try the pecan roll or any of the cookies next time I visit, those sounded promising as well. Prices here are also pretty decent considering how touristy this place is, and coming from Seattle, anything under $5 is a relief. Definitely will become a place I hit every time I'm in Poulsbo!
