Meatballs with Ricotta cheese
Christopher A.

Love everything about this place. If you want some fresh, homemade pastas and subs..... look no further. The place is very clean and inviting, perfect for a little date spot. They DO NOT take reservations. Food: Meatballs: homemade, great sauce, and love the Ricotta cheese on top. Cheesy Focaccia: made in-house, perfect texture, great to dip into their homemade red sauce. Pappardelle Bolognese: large portion, very filling. The homemade pasta puts it above the rest, and the meat sauce is so flavorful. 10 / 10 will definitely be back!

Superb Italian cuisine in the Edmond Railyard and voted by 405 Magazine as one of the "Best New Restaurants of 2024." I got the spicy shrimp spaghetti, the meatballs and the tomato basil soup. Service was prompt and they bring the food out to you. Also the interior is cozy with tables but there is also seating outside. The menu is pretty amazing and also features pappardelle. Wish they had some Italian sodas but there selection of beverages is quite wide, featuring bottled iced teas and sparkling waters. Highly recommended!

Porchetta sandwich
Torri H.

The portions particularly for the sandwiches are definitely on the petite side, especially for the price. I ended up ordering two entrees with plans to take leftovers home, but ended up eating them both! I had the porchetta sandwich and chicken piccata. It wasn't the best chicken piccata I've ever had but it was still very, very delicious! The porchetta sandwich was rich with flavor but at about 7inches long you'd expect something a bit more hearty for $15. Overall this place is better than many of the well known Italian places around OKC and Edmond, but it comes with a premium price tag.

Mixed salad and Caesar salad
Morgan-Emilee A.

First time here. It was very cute and bright inside. I really liked how refreshing it felt inside. We just wanted a refreshing salad. We decided to try two. The Caesar salad and the mixed salad. We swapped the Caesar dressing for the house dressing. (I admit I gave my fiancé crap for that) ended up being better than my salad haha. The house dressing was soo good. The only thing is they drench the salad that it's pooling at the bottom of the plate and the first few mins the salad it's great and crunchy and then the dressing gets absorbed and the lettuce starts to wilt and get soggy. Next time I might just ask for the dressing on the side. The ingredients seemed fresh and it was very tasty.

Pasta primavera

I went on a date with a real Italian here, and I was told it was legitimate. I think it's really fantastic that all of the pastas are made in house except the penne. The food and service were delightful. The prices were a touch high, but the food was hot and fresh. It's a nice space inside of a train depot. Kinda hipster.

Located inside the old Gogi-Go location inside The Edmond Railyard. The owner is originally from the east coast and makes all of her pastas excluding the penne in house. She was also really active and present the whole time we were there multitasking, and working hard. We could tell she really cares about her business which was really nice to see as we enjoy supporting local businesses. We ordered the arancini, they were short of one so, they gave us some focaccia bread on the house. For my main entree I had the chicken fettuccine alfredo and my significant other had the chicken parm. Everything tasted subtle with mild flavors, and tasted fine. My only complaints if I had any were that my entree came out cold/luke warm and my guys food came out hot. I also think that the employees with longer hair should have their hair pulled back or in a bun since, I did find some curly hairs in my food. I understand that there's always little kinks to work out when first opening so, not a major issue just some minor constructive criticism. Overall, I think this place can really do good since, there aren't many Italian food options up here in Edmond. Can't wait to bring the kiddos next time to have them try out the kids menu! Glad to have this business here in Edmond!

Food selection is a tour through Italy! Had a delicious Garlic Shrimp Small Plate which was more than enough food along with the House Salad which was fresh and wonderful. The service is great even tho you order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Young man at the counter was super friendly and easy to talk to. Lovely small restaurant that is well light and comfortable. I even got a pan of frozen meatballs to take home. And yes, a slice of cake for later! Highly recommend this place and I will make it a regular!

From left to right clockwise. Focaccia, fried mozzarella, fettuccine alfredo w/shrimp, and pappardelle bolognese.

We are visiting from out of town. My girlfriend said she wanted Italian food, I did a Yelp search…read moreand selected Vito's based on reviews and looking at the menu - I liked the wide variety of options. We arrived and were promptly seated. My girlfriend immediately noticed that it appeared to be all 'locals' - that's a good sign! It's not a 'modern' restaurant. It's apparently been there for a long time. It's comfortable and feels like a nice Italian restaurant (I've eaten at many restaurants in Italy so I have a little bit of an idea for authentic ambiance.) We received a basket of bread - delicious seasoning along with an oil dip. I'm a bit of a beer snob so I was happy to see a good IPA on their beer list. We both started with a dinner salad. My girlfriend had the Tortellini and I had the Chicken Scaloppine. Both were delicious. The waiter and waitress were prompt, courteous and helpful. The prices were reasonable. There was plenty of food. We didn't have room for dessert unfortunately so no recommendations there. It was an enjoyable experience. My girlfriend said she really enjoyed it and was very happy with my selection (whew!).

I returned to Vito's after a couple of years, and while the staff was friendly, the food experience…read morewasn't great. The bread was served cold, and the pasta lacked flavor, even the Inducer's sauce was mild. The grilled chicken was bland with no seasoning. The good side was the tomato basil soup was delicious and my favorite. Kinda disappointing, the Parmesan cheese wasn't offered to us, even though I saw it provided to nearby tables. Maybe it just wasn't their night.

The building itself is…read morebeautiful--there's so much history here, having once been a hospital and a movie theater, and you can still see those touches throughout. I especially loved the stairs; they add a lot of charm to the space. The menu, however, felt overly large, and I couldn't help but think it would benefit from being cut in half so the focus could be more on quality rather than quantity--because unfortunately, the food didn't quite deliver. The pepperoni pizza was not good. The pepperoni was burnt, and the crust was extremely dry--honestly reminiscent of cafeteria pizza. The mozzarella sticks were also disappointing and tasted very much like something straight from Sysco. The bruschetta was easily the highlight of the meal. The crostini was crispy and buttery, and the tomato topping was fresh and flavorful. I ordered the angel hair pasta with shrimp, which was overly creamy, and the shrimp itself was bland. On a positive note, the vegetables had a nice texture and were cooked well. (I was busy taking photos of everyone else's food that I forgot to focus on my own--oops.) The cocktails were also underwhelming. My Tuscan Mule lacked flavor, and the Manhattan was especially bad--watered down with tiny slivers of ice. The cocktails were inexpensive, so the quality matched the price point That said, service was good. Our server took great care of us, was attentive, and there were absolutely no complaints on that front.

There are restaurants where you choose your meal, and there are restaurants where the meal chooses…read moreyou. Anton's Craft Kitchen is definitively, gloriously the latter. Anton, the owner, is on the floor, at your table, and invested in your experience in a way that most restaurant owners stopped being long ago. He will guide your order. He will override your instincts when they'd lead you somewhere less than extraordinary. And he does it out of genuine love for what his kitchen produces. We surrendered the menu. Let him choose for us. It was the best decision we made. THE FOOD The Chicken Parm is the dish the kitchen was built around -- hand-breaded chicken in Anton's creamy craft sauce that is rich, precise, and unlike anything you've had under that name before. The plate came back spotless. Not out of politeness. Because leaving anything behind would have been a mistake. The Green Olive is the sleeper hit -- sliced chicken, green olives, onions, and lemon garlic sauce that is warmer and more comforting than the name prepares you for. Savory, gently briny, deeply satisfying. Anton pairs dishes for couples deliberately, so the meals across the table match and complement each other. The contrast between the Chicken Parm and the Green Olive is not an accident -- it is a decision. You taste the difference between a restaurant that thinks about your entire experience and one that just takes your order. He loves your experience as much as his food. He stresses the food will change every meal because it is homemade, and it is. Wow. The Smoked Eggplant Spinach Dip opened the meal with real intention -- smoky, complex, four cheeses, served with garlic flatbread. You will want to lick the plate clean. The Fried Mozzarella is what fried mozzarella should always be and almost never is. The peach tea is exceptional in a way that a beverage has no right to be when the food is competing for your attention this hard. PEFECT! Make sure to ask for it in Anton's way. His way is better. DESSERT Every dessert is made in-house from scratch and you taste it immediately. The Bourbon Pecan Pie has actual bourbon in it -- present, warm, unapologetic -- woven into a filling that is rich without being cloying, with a deeply caramelized pecan top and whipped cream that is the only accompaniment it needs. Top shelf in every sense. The Cheesecake is the real thing. Dense, genuine, not artificially sweet -- a tall ivory slice on a proper graham crust with a strawberry drizzle that brightens without overwhelming. This is what cheesecake is supposed to be and rarely is anywhere else. Anton's Craft Kitchen is the rare restaurant that exceeds every expectation you didn't know you had. The food is cooked with care. The desserts are made with love you can actually taste. The experience from first bite to last is without a single complaint -- because there isn't one to make. Every plate came back spotless. We will be back and the hamburger is next on our hearts!
