okc's newest italian is worth the hype! had a wonderful night at the new La Buca, located in the paseo arts district in oklahoma city. nuzzled out of the hustle and bustle of the district you'll find this hidden gem that won't stay hidden for long. it's the perfect spot for dinner with the gals, a date night, or a small family dinner. make sure you get the fettuccini limone! the chicken was no afterthought here, seasoned and grilled to perfection. just a subtle hint of lemon flavor and nothing too creamy or overpowering. the table-side tiramisu took me back to my trip to italy where it was done at so many restaurants, it makes for such a great interactive experience. my only complaint was no bread service as a girl who loved her carbs and the manicotti noddles were a little thick for my liking but the flavor of the short rib inside was insanely delicious! the employees were joyful and helpful as we navigated my 91 year old grandmother through the small restaurant with her walker! they made my dad feel celebrated for his birthday and brought it up often. the owner spent many years in florence and was so great to talk with. add this spot to your okc dining list!

What an amazing addition to Paseo! Inside is charming and very nice. Our waiter Bob was very attentive and a delight to have. Food was superb. I unknowingly ordered a dish with pork and I don't eat pork so they graciously make me a new dish with none. There are AMAZING $35 meal deals that include a salad, entree, AND tiramisu! I could not believe what an amazing deal it was and it was a lot of wonderful food! I did not get a picture of the tiramisu because after it was made table side we dived into it!

Love the ambiance and the servers are top notch. The wine pours are very generous. I thought the food was in the good not great category which is why I gave it four stars.

Amazing Italian restaurant with a super classy and suave interior atmosphere and exceptional service (especially from Logan and the bartenders, who even prepared me a special drink). The lemon chicken fettuccine was delicious with just a hint of lemon, and the meatballs had a spicy kick to them (I was told Nonna's recipe). The frittele (or first thing on the appetizer menu) was great and the spicy orange blossom honey was awesome. All their mocktails were excellent, including the aperol and lavender spritz, plus their unsweet iced tea is very good. Finally, if you order their tiramisu (their only dessert), they prepare it live in front of you! Highly recommended and just three weeks old - I saw one Google/Yelp reviews proclaims proclaim it as the best Italian restaurant in OKC and the GM mentioned they are trying to nab that title.

The food is really great. This was the first time I have tried Tuscan-style Italian cuisine and it was very delightful. Personally, I absolutely loved the pesto and would love to try the Lemon Chicken Fettuccine next time I am there. It's the perfect small place that really makes you feel at home and cozy. Small enough to where you feel the intimacy but not too small where you feel super crowded. The service is different and unlike anywhere I have been. The servers are all very different characters and have a good knowledge of the menu which was very helpful when asking for recommendations.

They don't make restaurants like this anymore!!!!! From the very small, intimate setting to a great chat with the owner and yummy food, everything was EXCELLENT!!! This will absolutely be in our restaurant rotation from now on. Don't come here expecting heaping mounds of red sauce and cheese for days. It's not that kind of place. It's a neighborhood, homestyle northern Italian restaurant and they nailed it. Fried capers on a Caesar salad--yes please!!! Bob was our waiter and did an excellent job!! Kudos to him

Once a month, my girlfriends and I do a girls night out, and we always try somewhere new. OKC food scene has really been giving us so many choices lately, and for this Friday we decided on La Buca. It was absolutely worth it. First, shout out to our waiter, Bob. He took great care of us. From the moment we sat down, and his service made the whole experience even better. We started with the lavender cocktail and the white Negroni Spritz . They were good though, not the most memorable part of the meal. The food, however, was excellent and easily stole the show. We ordered the Polpette to the start, and it was such a good pick. We also shared the Panzanella salad. For our main dishes, we had the fillet surf and turf special cooked, medium rare, the Lasagna Florentine, and Gnocchi Nonna with grilled chicken. Every dish was flavorful, and the steak was cooked perfectly. We finished with the tiramisu, and it was so delicious. We were literally fighting over the last bite. La Buca gave us a great girls night out with delicious food and wonderful service. We will definitely go back.

Beautiful restaurant! We went for an early dinner at the bar and had excellent service! One of the best cosmos I've had, the old fashioned didn't have the big block ice, which was the only negative. We started with the calamari and shrimp. The dipping sauces were so delicious. We tried the caesar salad which had fried capers that we loved. Our server recommended the short rib manicotti and the chicken parm. Both were excellent choices! We finished the meal with their table side pistachio tiramisu. We ate every bite! That is a must try! The restaurant is so pretty with the green walls and the servers in their green tuxedos. Very fancy and upscale. This is a very small restaurant so I would imagine you would need a reservation most days. Can't wait to come back!

Had a great experience at La Buca. The porchetta and beets carpaccio were a perfect start, the fettuccine limone was amazing and branzino was cooked beautifully ------ fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The tableside lemon pistachio tiramisu was a standout dessert. Excellent Italian wine selection, cozy and lively atmosphere, and our server was attentive and fun! Definitely recommend and will be back!

I feel lucky to have gotten to experience La Buca before it books up, because I have no doubt it will once word gets out! I think this is the best Italian in Oklahoma. Super authentic, it felt like being in Rome. The ambience is beautiful and cozy. The waitstaff is knowledgeable, engaging and attentive. The owner was even there and took my jacket for me. Then there's the food... amazing! Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The Cesar salad is not to be missed. We did the Italian Margaritas, the burrata, Cesar salad and the gnocchi. Everything, and I mean everything, was outstanding. I'm so glad to have a spot like this in OKC.

We ordered the suppli el telefono as an appetizer that was delicious. I was a little surprised the red pepper pesto was cold but the stuffed risotto was hot. My partner got the soup which was a broccoli cheddar situation that was amazing! I ordered the Roman Carbonara and added the spicy Italian sausage that was juicy and perfectly spicy to my liking. My partner ordered the filet and that was also juicy and flavorful. We love sitting at the bar because you get to interact with a bunch of staff. There are no price points listed anywhere, but the lunch buffet is all-you-can-eat for just $14 flat after all taxes and fees (as of April 2026). The restaurant has been here for 22 years and the owner personally greets guests, buses tables, fills and refills drinks, and sets your table. Super nice. There's a full salad bar, pasta bar, and pizza bar that's constantly refilled during lunch hours. The salad toppings were fresh and premium for the price point: Salad mix, chopped hard-boiled eggs, black olives, red onions, pepperoncinis, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, croutons, and half a dozen different dressings. The pasta bar had several different types of noodles and sauces. The protein choices were meatballs in red sauce (super delicious), Italian sausage, and chicken (a little dry). The marinara sauce in particular was super flavorful; I'm used to paying more for less quality and quantity. Finally, the pizza bar had at least four different pie varieties. I believe unlimited fountain drinks are also included in the price, but I stuck with water anyway. All told, this must be one of the best deals in town - made me feel like I was back in the 2000s with this price point! The cash register is old-school enough that I didn't end up being asked to pay a tip like all the new systems do, so I brought $6 in cash over later on to make up for it. If you're staying at the Sheraton for work or fun, come here for lunch - it's a way better deal than the hotel restaurants.

I was seated immediately, my order was taken promptly, and the food arrived without any unnecessary wait. Efficient, attentive, no complaints there. The Manhattan? Excellent. The bartender had a generous hand with the pour -- exactly how it should be made. Bold, balanced, and worth ordering again. Now, the food. I had the filet mignon with mashed potatoes, green beans, and a blood orange reduction. The green beans were the surprise standout -- well-seasoned, well-executed. But the filet and mashed potatoes fell flat. Both desperately needed salt and pepper; the seasoning simply wasn't there. The blood orange reduction, which should have been the star of the plate, was so subtle I had to go looking for it. A dish with that much potential deserved a bolder hand in the kitchen. One small note on the atmosphere: the restaurant sits on a corner of a busy street, and without the curtains drawn, the dining experience loses a bit of its intimacy. A simple fix that could go a long way. Would I return? For the bar -- absolutely. For the kitchen to earn another visit, the seasoning needs work. The bones of something great are here. It just needs more salt.
