Good food and especially fantastic service from the new hire but I unfortunately had to witness the owner yelling at almost every single individual working for him while there was a full house. Extremely unprofessional. read more

Delicious! The gnocchi was absolutely perfect. The service was great and it had a nice ambiance and was decorated well. Everyone working there was incredibly nice. read more

They don't make restaurants like this anymore!!!!! From the very small, intimate setting to a great chat with the owner and yummy food, everything was EXCELLENT!!! This will absolutely be in our restaurant rotation from now on. Don't come here expecting heaping mounds of red sauce and cheese for days. It's not that kind of place. It's a neighborhood, homestyle northern Italian restaurant and they nailed it. Fried capers on a Caesar salad--yes please!!! Bob was our waiter and did an excellent job!! Kudos to him read more

Takeaway: I'll sharpen thA La Buca OKC had some of the worst brunch service I've ever dealt with -- and the place was completely empty, so there was zero excuse for the attitude. I asked for a salad to start. My mom didn't want one. Instead of just bringing my salad, the server said, "I'll wait until she's ready to order," and then never brought it. He basically decided my order didn't matter unless she ordered too. The attitude was unreal. And the worst part? The manager was rude to his own staff multiple times right in front of us. Not just one slip -- it was repeated. Snapping at them, talking down to them, acting irritated over nothing. Watching a manager disrespect his employees like that made the whole environment uncomfortable. If that's how he treats his team, it explains why the service toward customers felt cold, dismissive, and careless. Between the ignored order, the attitude, and the manager openly being mean to staff, the vibe was ruined before brunch even started. Hard pass. read more

11/10 real Italian food!! service was amazing Great ambience felt like a Vegas speakeasy. Logan killed it on service! Dude should be next in line for management. All the apps and entrees and dessert was spot on, new fav spot! read more

Very cute interior. Drinks were alright. I got the dirty job and limoncello spritz. Service was friendly. Burrata appetizer with the mortadella was fine, but the mortadella could've been served different than just large slabs on the bottom on the plate. Caesar was good, but nothing special. My chicken parm was HUGE. The breading was crisp and remained that way even after reheating at home, but overall it was lacking seasoning and depth of flavor. read more

Okay, CUTE! Classy! Romantic! We visited La Buca on a Sunday as a group of 5. We did have a reservation and I 100% recommend having one before going. Our group did "family style" with the Italian dishes trying a range of food from the bread service, Gnocchi, Chicken Parmesan, Pesto Moradella, and a couple of other dishes. We were very impressed with almost everything (we felt the chicken parm was bland comparatively). Everything felt fresh and authentic while having a twist to make it special to La Buca. The restaurant was decorated so nicely, giving it a romantic ambiance and the general vibe was quiet and intimate. It is not a big space (!!) but we didn't feel crowded and it wasn't loud. I can't even express how friendly and inviting the wait staff was. We loved Will, he really took our experience to the highest level. A perfect addition to the Paseo! read more

After reading a feature article announcing La Bucca in The Oklahoman we made reservations for dinner last Thursday evening. The venue is somewhat small, quite pleasing, and intimate, with a cool vibe. It has a nice bar. We started with a bottle of Primocolle Chianti Classico and La Bucca Baratta which is shaved mortadella, truffle burrata, castelvetrano olives, pistachio, basil oil. It was quite nice. I selected Lasagna Florentine; spinich lasagna rolls for my entree. The presentation was lovely. The flavor profile was uninspired. Jan ordered Chicken Parmajean. I took a taste and thought it was excellent. We were seated in a small dining room that can be arranged for 10. During our dinner there was a 4-top occupied and our 2-top. It's cozy, and unfortunately the four top was into belly laughing. The restrauant was packed and the overall noise levels was high. Our server was very good. read more

OKC isn't short on Italian spots, but this one is a beautiful addition to the scene -- and I truly hope it sticks around. The interior is stunning: olive green wallpaper, minimal light fixtures, and an intimate ambiance that makes it feel cozy yet elevated. Service was top notch. We had multiple staff members checking on us throughout the evening -- possibly even the manager and owner -- which made the experience feel attentive and thoughtful. Drinks were well-made and balanced. The Negroni and Manhattan were both excellent. The menu leans Tuscany-focused. We started with the fritto misto (fried calamari and shrimp), which was fantastic -- perfectly crisp with a bright lemon aioli and tomato sauce for dipping. Definitely a highlight. The only hiccup was timing. Our entrées took a while to come out, and I wish they had brought bread and olive oil earlier instead of alongside dinner -- it would've made the wait feel smoother. There are lots of great options on the menu. I chose the lasagna Florentine. It's definitely a heavier dish and a bit one-note in flavor. I added meatballs, but unfortunately they were too spicy for me to enjoy. Overall, I'd absolutely return. The menu has a lot of potential, and between the ambiance, service, and cocktails, it's worth another visit. read more

Went here for a birthday dinner with a large party at 9:30 on a Friday. We sat outside on the patio and the service was quick, helpful, and also paced well. Our food came out quick and hot and was some of the best pasta I have had in OKC. read more

What an amazing addition to Paseo! Inside is charming and very nice. Our waiter Bob was very attentive and a delight to have. Food was superb. I unknowingly ordered a dish with pork and I don't eat pork so they graciously make me a new dish with none. There are AMAZING $35 meal deals that include a salad, entree, AND tiramisu! I could not believe what an amazing deal it was and it was a lot of wonderful food! I did not get a picture of the tiramisu because after it was made table side we dived into it! read more

Amazing Italian restaurant with a super classy and suave interior atmosphere and exceptional service (especially from Logan and the bartenders, who even prepared me a special drink). The lemon chicken fettuccine was delicious with just a hint of lemon, and the meatballs had a spicy kick to them (I was told Nonna's recipe). The frittele (or first thing on the appetizer menu) was great and the spicy orange blossom honey was awesome. All their mocktails were excellent, including the aperol and lavender spritz, plus their unsweet iced tea is very good. Finally, if you order their tiramisu (their only dessert), they prepare it live in front of you! Highly recommended and just three weeks old - I saw one Google/Yelp reviews proclaims proclaim it as the best Italian restaurant in OKC and the GM mentioned they are trying to nab that title. read more

I just spend a lot of money on chicken parm and bread! I get it home and the first thing my girl says is - where the hell is the SAUCE?!! They give you like two hard dry ass pieces of chicken, deep fried fried in a thick batter, then cover w/ two slices of hard deli style Mozzarella cheese then - add like a tablespoon of sauce for both the chicken and the noodles. Like they do not want to give you any sauce!! So dry! Good grief we're disappointed read more

La Buca - Short rib manicotti - Italian Near Me - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Great service was number 1, followed by outstanding food, drinks and atmosphere. Great lasagna and Caesar salad.

Once a month, my girlfriends and I do a girls night out, and we always try somewhere new. OKC food scene has really been giving us so many choices lately, and for this Friday we decided on La Buca. It was absolutely worth it. First, shout out to our waiter, Bob. He took great care of us. From the moment we sat down, and his service made the whole experience even better. We started with the lavender cocktail and the white Negroni Spritz . They were good though, not the most memorable part of the meal. The food, however, was excellent and easily stole the show. We ordered the Polpette to the start, and it was such a good pick. We also shared the Panzanella salad. For our main dishes, we had the fillet surf and turf special cooked, medium rare, the Lasagna Florentine, and Gnocchi Nonna with grilled chicken. Every dish was flavorful, and the steak was cooked perfectly. We finished with the tiramisu, and it was so delicious. We were literally fighting over the last bite. La Buca gave us a great girls night out with delicious food and wonderful service. We will definitely go back. read more

We LOVED La Buca. We had a small incident where we thought a tipped over vase upset the manager or owner but nothing was said. Our server, Logan, was attentive and intentional. The Food was Ahhhhmazing. The burrata was perfection, the caccio e Pepe was good, the fettuccine limone was a delightful surprise, the pesto mortadella was incredible, and the Puttanesca was loved by all of us. I'm glad we all ordered something different. The table side tiramisu was a fun presentation. Every dish was WELL prepared and you do not get that very often. Definitely a must try! read more

The pasta dishes needed seasoning and were unimpressive. The menu had a smell, and the table had microscopic crawlers that looked like mites. The server did not ask further about them or offer to move tables. read more

As an authentic Italian, I can confidently say these were the best meatballs I've ever had. The chicken piccata was excellent as well, but the star of the night was the tiramisu--an absolute must for dessert. read more

The food is really great. This was the first time I have tried Tuscan-style Italian cuisine and it was very delightful. Personally, I absolutely loved the pesto and would love to try the Lemon Chicken Fettuccine next time I am there. It's the perfect small place that really makes you feel at home and cozy. Small enough to where you feel the intimacy but not too small where you feel super crowded. The service is different and unlike anywhere I have been. The servers are all very different characters and have a good knowledge of the menu which was very helpful when asking for recommendations. read more

okc's newest italian is worth the hype! had a wonderful night at the new La Buca, located in the paseo arts district in oklahoma city. nuzzled out of the hustle and bustle of the district you'll find this hidden gem that won't stay hidden for long. it's the perfect spot for dinner with the gals, a date night, or a small family dinner. make sure you get the fettuccini limone! the chicken was no afterthought here, seasoned and grilled to perfection. just a subtle hint of lemon flavor and nothing too creamy or overpowering. the table-side tiramisu took me back to my trip to italy where it was done at so many restaurants, it makes for such a great interactive experience. my only complaint was no bread service as a girl who loved her carbs and the manicotti noddles were a little thick for my liking but the flavor of the short rib inside was insanely delicious! the employees were joyful and helpful as we navigated my 91 year old grandmother through the small restaurant with her walker! they made my dad feel celebrated for his birthday and brought it up often. the owner spent many years in florence and was so great to talk with. add this spot to your okc dining list! read more

The manager was very kind and our waiter Will was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the menu which was important as someone in our party had multiple allergies. Had a great experience at La Buca. The porchetta and beets carpaccio were a perfect start, the fettuccine limone was amazing and branzino was cooked beautifully ------ fresh, flavorful, and delicious. We went out for a family dinner and wanted to try the new Italian restaurant in town. I am of Italian heritage so I am picky about Italian food. The service was great, the atmosphere was very nice. The food was all good, to very good. Fried ricotta olives were a great start. The porchetta antipasto was also a taste delight, nice and crispy with a parsley vinger gremolata. The panzanella was great. The tagliatelle and meatballs was great, the meatballs were very tender... perfect. The branzino was was crispy and I loved the greens and fennel on top. The star of the show was the crispelle manicotti stuffed with a short rib. I rarely see crispelle outside of a nonna's kitchen. Finished with a table side Tiramisu. A great night...get the manicotti! read more

What a delightful and enjoyable evening of dining! Thank you to the owner who could accommodate a table of six on short notice. We were in town on business and the opportunity to dine at this restaurant made our travel travels worthwhile. Please ask for Taylor as your server she is impeccable. The food is flavorful, with a menu that offers foodies definitely wanting to make a reservation for their next visit to OKC. The ambience is one of a kind and definitely makes you feel like you're in a much larger metropolitan area. read more

Beautiful restaurant! We went for an early dinner at the bar and had excellent service! One of the best cosmos I've had, the old fashioned didn't have the big block ice, which was the only negative. We started with the calamari and shrimp. The dipping sauces were so delicious. We tried the caesar salad which had fried capers that we loved. Our server recommended the short rib manicotti and the chicken parm. Both were excellent choices! We finished the meal with their table side pistachio tiramisu. We ate every bite! That is a must try! The restaurant is so pretty with the green walls and the servers in their green tuxedos. Very fancy and upscale. This is a very small restaurant so I would imagine you would need a reservation most days. Can't wait to come back! read more

This is the best Italian food I've had in okc. Everything was excellent. Chicken parm was outstanding.

The food was excellent, but our server, Brad, was not the most competent. While he performed his duties in serving food, he was unable to provide recommendations for drinks. He responded with laughter when my wife expressed her desire to try something sweet but not overpowering, and he simply suggested a margarita. This lack of assistance was frustrating, as we could have easily made our own decisions. read more

Not an Oklahoma resident just here for business. Anyways it was a good experience. The appetizers were made well and so were the mains. The tiramisu was also very good and unique. I've had a lot of tiramisus but nothing like that. It was very satisfying. The staff specifically our waiter was extremely kind and helpful. The ambiance is cozy. Very Italian Nona kitchen vibes. However... and I could be wrong but the manager had a very distinctive Italian accent when checking on our table. I thought it was genuine. My other guest overheard the manager speaking to the table behind with an American Oklahoma accent. Now this leads me to an interesting question... was the manager just being light hearted and funny with us or... was it weird and off putting? I'm not sure. But it wasn't enough to deter me from returning again in the future because of all the other positives. But I will be making a mental note if anything else arises.. this would've been a five star review if not for that odd interaction. read more

I feel lucky to have gotten to experience La Buca before it books up, because I have no doubt it will once word gets out! I think this is the best Italian in Oklahoma. Super authentic, it felt like being in Rome. The ambience is beautiful and cozy. The waitstaff is knowledgeable, engaging and attentive. The owner was even there and took my jacket for me. Then there's the food... amazing! Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The Cesar salad is not to be missed. We did the Italian Margaritas, the burrata, Cesar salad and the gnocchi. Everything, and I mean everything, was outstanding. I'm so glad to have a spot like this in OKC. read more
