Okay, CUTE! Classy! Romantic! We visited La Buca on a Sunday as a group of 5. We did have a reservation and I 100% recommend having one before going. Our group did "family style" with the Italian dishes trying a range of food from the bread service, Gnocchi, Chicken Parmesan, Pesto Moradella, and a couple of other dishes. We were very impressed with almost everything (we felt the chicken parm was bland comparatively). Everything felt fresh and authentic while having a twist to make it special to La Buca. The restaurant was decorated so nicely, giving it a romantic ambiance and the general vibe was quiet and intimate. It is not a big space (!!) but we didn't feel crowded and it wasn't loud. After reading a feature article announcing La Bucca in The Oklahoman we made reservations for dinner last Thursday evening. The venue is somewhat small, quite pleasing, and intimate, with a cool vibe. It has a nice bar. We started with a bottle of Primocolle Chianti Classico and La Bucca Baratta which is shaved mortadella, truffle burrata, castelvetrano olives, pistachio, basil oil. It was quite nice. I selected Lasagna Florentine; spinich lasagna rolls for my entree. The presentation was lovely. The flavor profile was uninspired. Jan ordered Chicken Parmajean. I took a taste and thought it was excellent. We were seated in a small dining room that can be arranged for 10. During our dinner there was a 4-top occupied and our 2-top. It's cozy, and unfortunately the four top was into belly laughing. The restrauant was packed and the overall noise levels was high. Our server was very good. read more

okc's newest italian is worth the hype! had a wonderful night at the new La Buca, located in the paseo arts district in oklahoma city. nuzzled out of the hustle and bustle of the district you'll find this hidden gem that won't stay hidden for long. it's the perfect spot for dinner with the gals, a date night, or a small family dinner. make sure you get the fettuccini limone! the chicken was no afterthought here, seasoned and grilled to perfection. just a subtle hint of lemon flavor and nothing too creamy or overpowering. the table-side tiramisu took me back to my trip to italy where it was done at so many restaurants, it makes for such a great interactive experience. my only complaint was no bread service as a girl who loved her carbs and the manicotti noddles were a little thick for my liking but the flavor of the short rib inside was insanely delicious! the employees were joyful and helpful as we navigated my 91 year old grandmother through the small restaurant with her walker! they made my dad feel celebrated for his birthday and brought it up often. the owner spent many years in florence and was so great to talk with. add this spot to your okc dining list! read more

OKC isn't short on Italian spots, but this one is a beautiful addition to the scene -- and I truly hope it sticks around. The interior is stunning: olive green wallpaper, minimal light fixtures, and an intimate ambiance that makes it feel cozy yet elevated. Service was top notch. We had multiple staff members checking on us throughout the evening -- possibly even the manager and owner -- which made the experience feel attentive and thoughtful. Drinks were well-made and balanced. The Negroni and Manhattan were both excellent. The menu leans Tuscany-focused. We started with the fritto misto (fried calamari and shrimp), which was fantastic -- perfectly crisp with a bright lemon aioli and tomato sauce for dipping. Definitely a highlight. The only hiccup was timing. Our entrées took a while to come out, and I wish they had brought bread and olive oil earlier instead of alongside dinner -- it would've made the wait feel smoother. There are lots of great options on the menu. I chose the lasagna Florentine. It's definitely a heavier dish and a bit one-note in flavor. I added meatballs, but unfortunately they were too spicy for me to enjoy. Overall, I'd absolutely return. The menu has a lot of potential, and between the ambiance, service, and cocktails, it's worth another visit. read more

What an amazing addition to Paseo! Inside is charming and very nice. Our waiter Bob was very attentive and a delight to have. Food was superb. I unknowingly ordered a dish with pork and I don't eat pork so they graciously make me a new dish with none. There are AMAZING $35 meal deals that include a salad, entree, AND tiramisu! Amazing Italian restaurant with a super classy and suave interior atmosphere and exceptional service (especially from Logan and the bartenders, who even prepared me a special drink). The lemon chicken fettuccine was delicious with just a hint of lemon, and the meatballs had a spicy kick to them (I was told Nonna's recipe). The frittele (or first thing on the appetizer menu) was great and the spicy orange blossom honey was awesome. All their mocktails were excellent, including the aperol and lavender spritz, plus their unsweet iced tea is very good. Finally, if you order their tiramisu (their only dessert), they prepare it live in front of you! Highly recommended and just three weeks old - I saw one Google/Yelp reviews proclaims proclaim it as the best Italian restaurant in OKC and the GM mentioned they are trying to nab that title. read more

The food is really great. This was the first time I have tried Tuscan-style Italian cuisine and it was very delightful. Personally, I absolutely loved the pesto and would love to try the Lemon Chicken Fettuccine next time I am there. It's the perfect small place that really makes you feel at home and cozy. Small enough to where you feel the intimacy but not too small where you feel super crowded. The service is different and unlike anywhere I have been. The servers are all very different characters and have a good knowledge of the menu which was very helpful when asking for recommendations. read more

Once a month, my girlfriends and I do a girls night out, and we always try somewhere new. OKC food scene has really been giving us so many choices lately, and for this Friday we decided on La Buca. It was absolutely worth it. First, shout out to our waiter, Bob. He took great care of us. From the moment we sat down, and his service made the whole experience even better. We started with the lavender cocktail and the white Negroni Spritz . They were good though, not the most memorable part of the meal. The food, however, was excellent and easily stole the show. We ordered the Polpette to the start, and it was such a good pick. We also shared the Panzanella salad. For our main dishes, we had the fillet surf and turf special cooked, medium rare, the Lasagna Florentine, and Gnocchi Nonna with grilled chicken. Every dish was flavorful, and the steak was cooked perfectly. We finished with the tiramisu, and it was so delicious. We were literally fighting over the last bite. La Buca gave us a great girls night out with delicious food and wonderful service. We will definitely go back. read more

Beautiful restaurant! We went for an early dinner at the bar and had excellent service! One of the best cosmos I've had, the old fashioned didn't have the big block ice, which was the only negative. We started with the calamari and shrimp. The dipping sauces were so delicious. We tried the caesar salad which had fried capers that we loved. Our server recommended the short rib manicotti and the chicken parm. Both were excellent choices! We finished the meal with their table side pistachio tiramisu. We ate every bite! That is a must try! The restaurant is so pretty with the green walls and the servers in their green tuxedos. Very fancy and upscale. We went out for a family dinner and wanted to try the new Italian restaurant in town. I am of Italian heritage so I am picky about Italian food. The service was great, the atmosphere was very nice. The food was all good, to very good. Fried ricotta olives were a great start. The porchetta antipasto was also a taste delight, nice and crispy with a parsley vinger gremolata. The panzanella was great. The tagliatelle and meatballs was great, the meatballs were very tender... perfect. The branzino was was crispy and I loved the greens and fennel on top. The star of the show was the crispelle manicotti stuffed with a short rib. I rarely see crispelle outside of a nonna's kitchen. Finished with a table side Tiramisu. I feel lucky to have gotten to experience La Buca before it books up, because I have no doubt it will once word gets out! I think this is the best Italian in Oklahoma. Super authentic, it felt like being in Rome. The ambience is beautiful and cozy. The waitstaff is knowledgeable, engaging and attentive. The owner was even there and took my jacket for me.
