We stumbled upon a gem here at Vignolas! I was surprised to find that you order at a counter, but all the service was so attentive and helpful. We were well taken care of. The restaurant is located in the Edmond Railyard. There are maybe 8-10 tables in the interior, and a few more outside, but these are still in a covered area. The food was delicious. We started with the bruschetta, which was served with creamy burrata cheese. The perfect way to start our meal. I went out of my usual ordering pattern and tried the gnocchi bava. It was unique, so creamy, and the gnocchi were nicely cooked. I loved it! My friends loved their entrees as well- free form lasagne and a seafood fettuccine dish (not sure the name). Went to Vignoals Italian Kitchen for a late lunch - the staff was so helpful we had 2 parents with walkers with us - and they helped get them situated. The Food was so good! I had the Chicken Piccata it was so amazing! My Husband had a sausage sandwich and the Caprese salad that he said was very good. they serve the pasta with fresh bread - we really enjoyed our experience at this restaurant and will go there again soon! FYI- The Rail Yard is fairly easy to get walkers around - just go to the parking lot and there is a ramp. read more

Located in the Railyard, I ate here right at opening at 11:00. I had the Pasta Primavera with shrimp. It was really good. They make the pasta in house and I couldn't rave more about it. Try it out! I will begin and preface this with that due to circumstances beyond my control, I am having my food delivered. My food was ordered through Instacart powered by Uber eats. That being said, my food was delivered to my home hot. The delivery driver was kind and delivered my food quickly after it was completed. The food was a big disappointment. We purchased fettucine alfredo, chicken piccata - substitute fettucine for penne, beef meatball appetizer, and fried mozzarella, for a total of $69.21. There was a service fee of $11.13. The total for this meal was $80.34. I am quite familiar with chicken piccata, sauteed chicken breasts, served over a bed of pasta with a sauce made from white wine, capers, lemon, cream, garlic and olive oil. A substitution was requested, fettucine substitute for the advertised penne. The substitution was not honored. There was no cream, no white wine, no lemon; just oil and capers. No other seasonings. The poor chicken breast was cooked for so long it was quite dry. It was difficult to cut and difficult to chew. My pets were given the dish. There were two pieces of mozzarella in the mozzarella appetizer. It seems like a small portion for $11.25. For a service fee of $11.13 I should have gotten flatware. No flatware. The bread that came with the meals, yes two meals. was three small pieces each 1 inch thick, by 2.5 inches wide by 1.5 inches tall, I am guessing it is 3 average pieces of the bread served at the table. The fettucine alfredo was unremarkable, no seasoning. What was sent with the meatballs, looked and tasted like watered down canned tomato sauce, no salt, pepper, or other seasonings. I was sadly disappointed. If you would like my chicken piccata recipe so that it might be enjoyable by another patron, I can give it to you. Mine does contain asparagus as well as mushrooms, lemon juice and lemon zest in addition to the cream, garlic, white wine and capers. This meal was not worth the money. Maybe with the overpriced menu, enough money will be generated to purchase seasonings, supplies and a cookbook. read more

I'm not sure how I feel about this place -- just a little walk-in fast food place, until you try the food. Waitress said it's all prepared fresh every morning, and I believe it. Super food! Kind of pricey, especially since there is no ambience at all. Just a few tables, a counter for ordering, and some cutting boards decorating the wall. The portions particularly for the sandwiches are definitely on the petite side, especially for the price. I ended up ordering two entrees with plans to take leftovers home, but ended up eating them both! I had the porchetta sandwich and chicken piccata. It wasn't the best chicken piccata I've ever had but it was still very, very delicious! The porchetta sandwich was rich with flavor but at about 7inches long you'd expect something a bit more hearty for $15. Fast casual Italian eatery with a warm atmosphere. Friendly staff with good customer service. Good portion sizes. Excellent focaccia, probably the fluffiest compared to others we have had. The pesto chicken sub was subpar, but the peppers did add a nice crunch and freshness. The fettuccine alfredo was restaurant quality. But I did not enjoy it as much since it's very salty and the overall dish is quite bland. And I was not fond of the small pieces of chicken. First time here. It was very cute and bright inside. I really liked how refreshing it felt inside. We just wanted a refreshing salad. We decided to try two. The Caesar salad and the mixed salad. We swapped the Caesar dressing for the house dressing. (I admit I gave my fiancé crap for that) ended up being better than my salad haha. The house dressing was soo good. The only thing is they drench the salad that it's pooling at the bottom of the plate and the first few mins the salad it's great and crunchy and then the dressing gets absorbed and the lettuce starts to wilt and get soggy. Superb Italian cuisine in the Edmond Railyard and voted by 405 Magazine as one of the "Best New Restaurants of 2024." I got the spicy shrimp spaghetti, the meatballs and the tomato basil soup. Service was prompt and they bring the food out to you. Also the interior is cozy with tables but there is also seating outside. The menu is pretty amazing and also features pappardelle. Located inside the old Gogi-Go location inside The Edmond Railyard. The owner is originally from the east coast and makes all of her pastas excluding the penne in house. She was also really active and present the whole time we were there multitasking, and working hard. We could tell she really cares about her business which was really nice to see as we enjoy supporting local businesses. We ordered the arancini, they were short of one so, they gave us some focaccia bread on the house. For my main entree I had the chicken fettuccine alfredo and my significant other had the chicken parm. Everything tasted subtle with mild flavors, and tasted fine. My only complaints if I had any were that my entree came out cold/luke warm and my guys food came out hot. I also think that the employees with longer hair should have their hair pulled back or in a bun since, I did find some curly hairs in my food. I understand that there's always little kinks to work out when first opening so, not a major issue just some minor constructive criticism. Overall, I think this place can really do good since, there aren't many Italian food options up here in Edmond. Can't wait to bring the kiddos next time to have them try out the kids menu! I went on a date with a real Italian here, and I was told it was legitimate. I think it's really fantastic that all of the pastas are made in house except the penne. My 14 yo loves this place and they are super picky. We are in a rental right around the corner and they have eaten here three times in a week! I ate there one night with them and it was quite tasty! My wife and I had seen this place previously so we decided to try it for dinner. She is gluten-free so we really appreciated how easy it was for them to serve gluten-free pasta. I also like how you can change out the protein in any of their dishes. Therefore, because I wasn't in the mood for meatballs, I traded them out for Italian sausage. The sausage tasted great and really added to my spaghetti. We did not realize that you would order at the front and then go find your own seats. I didn't mind that, I was just surprised. First walking in, I was a little dissatisfied. 5 servers for a restaurant with 11 seats. There were 2 registers but only 1 was being used and there were 3 servers standing there looking out at the restaurant, one behind the register, and a line at the one register. No one offered to ring us up at the second, unused register. While we were waiting the other 2 servers, not previously mentioned, were standing by the pass and eating food. Without washing hands they transferred food to the 3 remaining waiters who were standing around. Not very impressed with hygiene. One waitress wiped her mouth with her hand after taking a large bite of her food. Not impressive. The man who finally took our order was very friendly and complimented us on pronouncing all the menu items we ordered correctly. Maybe this is not so common in OK. Focaccia needed salt. It was pretty bland. The marinara was meh, a little on the acidic side. The fried mozzarella was pretty good. Still plenty warm with a good cheese pull. The crust was crispy but not too thick. The bolognese was also just ok. The pasta was cooked well but the meat in the sauce was overdone and had a grainy texture. The Alfredo was better. The shrimp was cooked well and the pasta was also cooked well. The sauce itself was more flavorful and creamy. The atmosphere was casual with moderate noise. A light touch of jazz played in the background. The lighting, colors, and decor worked well together. Overall, just ok. Not the top tier Italian I was expecting from previous reviews. The staff is composed of college age kids who just stand around watching and talking to their buddies and can't seem to think for themselves. It's never busy when I come. I once asked to buy a side order of plain spaghetti (I was ready to pay $8 for it) and the girl said since she didn't have a button to push she couldn't sell me any plain pasta. LMAO! No pasta in a pasta restaurant. Lol! Then today I ordered 3 items which came to $56 dollars. I got home and all three dishes were each missing something. Honestly, I think this is my favorite Italian place. The food is fantastic, and they make almost everything by hand, so you really get that fresh delicious taste. The service there is really flexible with making the order exactly how you want it. The environment is a darker color, but overall, I think it is creative what they did to the place.
