We stumbled upon a gem here at Vignolas! I was surprised to find that you order at a counter, but all the service was so attentive and helpful. We were well taken care of. The restaurant is located in the Edmond Railyard. There are maybe 8-10 tables in the interior, and a few more outside, but these are still in a covered area. The food was delicious. We started with the bruschetta, which was served with creamy burrata cheese. The perfect way to start our meal. I went out of my usual ordering pattern and tried the gnocchi bava. It was unique, so creamy, and the gnocchi were nicely cooked. I loved it! My friends loved their entrees as well- free form lasagne and a seafood fettuccine dish (not sure the name). My 14 yo loves this place and they are super picky. We are in a rental right around the corner and they have eaten here three times in a week! I ate there one night with them and it was quite tasty! Superb Italian cuisine in the Edmond Railyard and voted by 405 Magazine as one of the "Best New Restaurants of 2024." I got the spicy shrimp spaghetti, the meatballs and the tomato basil soup. Service was prompt and they bring the food out to you. Also the interior is cozy with tables but there is also seating outside. The menu is pretty amazing and also features pappardelle. The portions particularly for the sandwiches are definitely on the petite side, especially for the price. I ended up ordering two entrees with plans to take leftovers home, but ended up eating them both! I had the porchetta sandwich and chicken piccata. It wasn't the best chicken piccata I've ever had but it was still very, very delicious! The porchetta sandwich was rich with flavor but at about 7inches long you'd expect something a bit more hearty for $15. Overall this place is better than many of the well known Italian places around OKC and Edmond, but it comes with a premium price tag. read more

The pesto chicken sub was subpar, but the peppers did add a nice crunch and freshness. The fettuccine alfredo was restaurant quality. But I did not enjoy it as much since it's very salty and the overall dish is quite bland. And I was not fond of the small pieces of chicken. First time here. It was very cute and bright inside. I really liked how refreshing it felt inside. We just wanted a refreshing salad. We decided to try two. The Caesar salad and the mixed salad. We swapped the Caesar dressing for the house dressing. (I admit I gave my fiancé crap for that) ended up being better than my salad haha. The house dressing was soo good. The only thing is they drench the salad that it's pooling at the bottom of the plate and the first few mins the salad it's great and crunchy and then the dressing gets absorbed and the lettuce starts to wilt and get soggy. I went on a date with a real Italian here, and I was told it was legitimate. I think it's really fantastic that all of the pastas are made in house except the penne. Located inside the old Gogi-Go location inside The Edmond Railyard. The owner is originally from the east coast and makes all of her pastas excluding the penne in house. She was also really active and present the whole time we were there multitasking, and working hard. We could tell she really cares about her business which was really nice to see as we enjoy supporting local businesses. We ordered the arancini, they were short of one so, they gave us some focaccia bread on the house. For my main entree I had the chicken fettuccine alfredo and my significant other had the chicken parm. Everything tasted subtle with mild flavors, and tasted fine. My only complaints if I had any were that my entree came out cold/luke warm and my guys food came out hot. I also think that the employees with longer hair should have their hair pulled back or in a bun since, I did find some curly hairs in my food. I understand that there's always little kinks to work out when first opening so, not a major issue just some minor constructive criticism. Overall, I think this place can really do good since, there aren't many Italian food options up here in Edmond. Can't wait to bring the kiddos next time to have them try out the kids menu! Best Italian my wife and I have had in OKC, by far. Perfectly cooked pasta every time we go. Food is consistently well portioned and immaculately prepared. Value is excellent. Service is outstanding. This is similar to the caliber of food we experienced coming from a family run trattoria in Florence, Tuscany, or Rome. I would love for them to expand into a more authentic venue not in the rail yards, or have a fixed multiple course menu option, but understand the limitations of OKC. read more

My wife and I had seen this place previously so we decided to try it for dinner. She is gluten-free so we really appreciated how easy it was for them to serve gluten-free pasta. I also like how you can change out the protein in any of their dishes. Therefore, because I wasn't in the mood for meatballs, I traded them out for Italian sausage. The sausage tasted great and really added to my spaghetti. We did not realize that you would order at the front and then go find your own seats. I didn't mind that, I was just surprised. The staff is composed of college age kids who just stand around watching and talking to their buddies and can't seem to think for themselves. It's never busy when I come. I once asked to buy a side order of plain spaghetti (I was ready to pay $8 for it) and the girl said since she didn't have a button to push she couldn't sell me any plain pasta. LMAO! Every time I have been here the staff has gone out of their way to be kind, the food is phenomenal, and the environment is relaxing and welcoming. I truly loved their lunch menu. Food selection is a tour through Italy! Had a delicious Garlic Shrimp Small Plate which was more than enough food along with the House Salad which was fresh and wonderful. The service is great even tho you order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Young man at the counter was super friendly and easy to talk to. Honestly, I think this is my favorite Italian place. The food is fantastic, and they make almost everything by hand, so you really get that fresh delicious taste. The service there is really flexible with making the order exactly how you want it. The environment is a darker color, but overall, I think it is creative what they did to the place. There were 2 registers but only 1 was being used and there were 3 servers standing there looking out at the restaurant, one behind the register, and a line at the one register. It was pretty bland. The marinara was meh, a little on the acidic side. The fried mozzarella was pretty good. Still plenty warm with a good cheese pull. The crust was crispy but not too thick. The bolognese was also just ok. The pasta was cooked well but the meat in the sauce was overdone and had a grainy texture. The Alfredo was better. The shrimp was cooked well and the pasta was also cooked well. The sauce itself was more flavorful and creamy. The atmosphere was casual with moderate noise. A light touch of jazz played in the background. The lighting, colors, and decor worked well together. Overall, just ok. Not the top tier Italian I was expecting from previous reviews. My first time at Vignolas was for lunch. Fantastic experience! Beautiful, modern atmosphere. Service was exceptional! Owner and staff were very helpful as we asked questions regarding the menu. So many homemade offerings, you are transported back in time to old Italy. Our table ordered the Italian sausage and peppers sub, tuna sub, and fettuccine Alfredo. To start, this is more of a 3.5, but definitely not a 4, so 3 it is. Pricing is fair at least. Things are a bit chaotic here from the start. There's a line when you first walk in as it's an order first, then sit down type of place. There's also wait staff for the tables... so I'm not sure what's going on here, but it doesn't flow well. They also have cookies, wine, and other things you can grab while waiting in line. If you do grab a bottle of wine, they open it, grab glasses, and pour it, all while you are at the counter making an order... So the wait to get up to the counter can take anywhere from 2-5 minutes per person. We had about 3 families in front of us, so it took about 10 minutes for the line to move enough to finally order. We arrived at 645 pm a Saturday and they were already out of 2 appetizers. They mentioned something about the later you get there, the more things they run out of. I wouldn't call 645 late, but that's just me I guess. They also had to make sure they had enough dessert, which thankfully they did. I want to point out that everyone here is friendly, but you can tell they are stressed and there's a lot of growing pains. The door between the kitchen and the dining space broke while we were there for example. Given how chaotic the beginning was, we opted to get our meals to go. It took about 15 mins for it to be ready. When we got home, we found all of our meals were correct and well packed. Onto the food, and the ups and downs of what we got! To start, the fettuccini alfredo was awful. It is extremely bland and the portion wasn't great. Hard pass, 2/10. The lasagna is not traditional, which they pointed out at the counter, but it was pretty solid. The star of the show is the spicy sausage. The size of the meal was fair and overall it was a solid 7/10. If it had some baked cheese or really ANY cheese, it would have been even better. The penne was okay. We added spicy sausage to it as well which again was the best part. Ironically they asked us how we tolerated spice in regard to the dish having spicy marinara, so we were thinking it would be flavorful and spicy... but it was neither. And this isn't a subjective, "I find anything but ghost peppers hot," type of thing. It was simply just not spicy at all. 5.5/10. By far the best thing we had here was the tiramisu. It was a very generous portion, and was made with quality ingredients and lots of flavor. It is extraordinarily light and creamy. It isn't a traditional egg heavy recipe as far as I can tell. I think it was more cream and less egg/mascarpone or similar, but it was excellent. Lady fingers were well soaked and the coffee to sweet ratio was well balanced. 9.25/10. Overall, this is far more of a lunch spot than a dinner spot, or maybe a decent takeout spot. The restaurant has a lot of potential, it just needs some work as it's clearly a new place. I think they need to sort out the ordering situation, be less safe with the flavors, and completely overhaul the alfredo. The rail yard is just an odd spot for an Italian resultant in my opinion, so while decent, it's kind of a weird fit. We'll see how it shapes up over the coming months. I don't think we'll be back soon. But maybe by the end of summer or so we'll try it again. 3.5/5. Needs online ordering as soon as possible. read more

By far the best Italian food I have had in Oklahoma! I mean, WOW! So far I have had the fettuccine Alfredo, and pappardelle bolognese and the flavors are intense in the best ways! And the tiramisu was out of this world! Everything is made fresh, I mean everything! If you're in a hurry they will soon have take and go ready made dishes and take and bake meals for the family!
