This place could have been better before but with so many people using the weekly comps I can understand why it can be a not so hit or miss. Food: The pizza is probably the best thing to get here. It takes longer to make but the dough is created and shaped rather than pulling something out of the freezer. I like to order the pizza with mushrooms, sliced tomatoes, and bacon. The worst thing here is the mushroom melt, take my word for it, DON'T GET IT. We were considering eating lunch at Studio B Buffet for Thanksgiving, but the line was too long and 2hr wait. Yikes! Saw Vig Deli across the casino floor and so we decided to give it try. I was not expecting much from a Casino Deli, but the Philly Cheese steak, fish n chips and chicken caeser salad exceeded my expectation and were pretty good. The bread on Philly was soft, the onions/peppers were cooked really well, lots of meat with melted provolone cheese on top. Good crisp texture on fish n chips and fries were on point. Prices weren't too bad either - considering you're in Vegas! Plus our food arrived quickly and dining area is clean. My mom and I had lunch here recently while I was in ton visiting. I had a two for one coupon that I wanted to use, plus my mom's casino points. Free meal! Yahoo! There is usually a line to order but it went fast. I think they changed the menu since I was here last but it has lots of good stuff - sandwiches, salads, soups, Italian, Asian, sides. All kinds of things. I had the corned beef sandwich which comes with no sides. If you are going to pay $10 for a sandwich, at least include some fries or cole slaw. The corned beef had good flavor. Served on nice marble rye. Mom had the shrimp and fries. She said the fried shrimp were tasty, not too greasy. Their fries are always great and they did not disappoint this time. Yum! Had to add salt though. The tables were all a bit messy. No one seems to clean up after themselves and the staff was busy. They need to wipe down all the tables. But the food was good. This review is about one of cooks who is a young skinny tall man and very hardly understands sanitation to follow the rules. I caught him twice so far violating. First time he grabbed tip money from counter and with same glove moved my bread and food in the dish to make room for placing my steak! Of course I confronted him and refused to take the dish. Second time I asked for Nathan hot dog. Watching him I noticed he used only hand to put hot dogs over grill and turnin them like he does not know what is tong or other kitchen tools for! Then he tried to transfer it to the bun should I say again with his bare hand! That is when he dropped it over a dirty rag which was laying over counter for wiping! still he proceed and picked it up and laid it in the bun!! I am curious do these workers even pass the health card exam ? And why not following? Or maybe he does not even care who eat these food! This used to be the go-to spot when I was at the M, but absolutely not anymore. They've gone way down, just look at my pics and previous ones for comparison. They're pretty much like most spots in Vegas now, increasing the prices of food while decreasing its quality. Buffalo chicken wings are $15.99 for 12 wings and they've barely got any sauce on them. They were incited dry and tasted like it was a batch cooked a few days prior. The chicken nachos cost $9.99 and were smothered in cold nacho cheese with unseasoned cube cut chicken breast. The jalapeños might've been the only saving grace of that meal. And the fries were $3.49 and cooked in oil so old the fries looked they had Cajun seasoning...but alas, it was just plain and old. Ordered two oxtail soups to go on Monday May 20 and today Thu May 23 and on both times the two containers of rice are both uncooked and still hard. The pizza ordered today with extra cheese and mushrooms was still uncooked as the bottom and the edges hasn't even darkened yet. The sandwiches are made to order. The tomato and lettuce was crisp and fresh. The accompanying pickle was crunchy and yummy too. We also got a Cobb salad. All the items were fresh. It was a generous portion of ingredients. The dressing was good, but they had only a small selection of dressings. In all, it's a decent place to eat. Nothing gourmet. Prices were on the high side. Used to frequent this place often when the M Resort first opened up. I was glad to come in, sit down and enjoy a free large meal and drink, while relaxing and watching a game or two or three. When there used to be a Poker Room, this place would have a long line but the team would get the patrons ready and on their way, back to the casino floor, where they should be. I love their sandwiches. Huge portions that are honestly sharable with a side of fries. Most people that came in here didn't want to head over to the award winning Studio B Buffet, or simply didn't have the time. I appreciate the staff, their service and the excellent food that was offered. If I ever had to pay for a meal, I didn't feel ripped off like you would on the strip. A solid 2.75 stars if that makes sense. I've eaten here a few times and I hate to give them a 2 star review because their food is good, most of the time. I don't know what it is, but it's a gamble coming here because of the consistency. The first time we came here, all the food was fresh and hot. My reuben sandwich was packed with meat and my fries were crispy. My BF ordered a Chicago dog and it was juicy. Another time we ordered a burger and onion rings. The burger was well done , like WELL DONE, when I ordered it medium well. The tomatoes and onions were old and stale. And the onions rings tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. It wasn't even worth a picture it was so bad. This last time we ordered chicken wings. Good sized wings, but could have used more sauce. Their celery sticks and ranch were good. All kitchen staff need to be retrained so consistency can be met. But to the person who is in the kitchen during our good visits, props to you sir! They have decent bar food and it's close to home, so I'll be back, hopefully on one of their better days. read more
